Physical therapy device
A device for physical therapy includes a base on which a sliding platform is mounted. One or more of a plurality of springs may be selected to act between the base and the platform to tailor the resistance of platform motion to a specific therapy or patient. The platform has a removable cushion with a friction inducing surface which a patient may use in conjunction with a friction inducing headband to perform various neck therapies and exercises.
Sitting type spinal traction and disc massage apparatus
A sitting type spinal traction and disc massage apparatus includes a seat member, a seat pad disposed atop the seat member, a fixing member straddling the seat member and the seat pad and connected to the seat member to fix hips of a user to the seat member, and a moving backrest board disposed atop a rear end of the seat member. The moving backrest board is movable relative to the seat member. A restricting member straddles and is connected to the moving backrest board to fix the user's upper body to the moving backrest board. A lifting unit is disposed below the moving backrest board to move the moving backrest board upwardly from the seat member to stretch the user's spine. A vibrating unit is disposed within and vibrates the seat pad.
Rotational and linear resistance force exercise apparatus
An exercise apparatus with an adjustable rotating element around which a force transferring material wraps either clockwise or counterclockwise to provide bidirectional rotational resistance for exercising. The force transferring material is preferably guided to remain in close proximity to the rotating element while wrapping around the rotating element. Multiple attachments provide great flexibility in performing exercise or physical therapy.
Exercise Bench Add-On Apparatus
The present invention relates to an exercise bench attachment that is secured to a workout bench surface via a multi-stick backing. The exercise bench attachment assists with performing chest exercises. The attachment includes shoulder grooves or openings on either sides of a spinal cord supporting portion for accommodating shoulder blades of a user lying in a supine position with the bench attachment secured between the user's neck and back, and the bench surface. The shoulder openings enable free movement of shoulder blades when performing chest exercises of moving barbells, dumbbells, or weights away and towards the chest. The device includes a neck support for providing cushion to the neck of the user. The attachment supports the back and spine, but enhances clearance and space for the shoulder blades to enable the scapula to move unrestricted.
Spinal cord and meninges stretching frame and method to prevent and treat the root cause of scoliosis
The progress of what has previously been considered idiopathic scoliosis it is arrested and corrected by exercises that gradually stretch the spinal cord to catch and keep up with bone growth. An inventive frame enables such exercises by precluding the movement of the spinal column that is a result of the shorter spinal cord.
Unsupported Pelvic / Spine, Third Class Lever Exercise System and Method
The invention is embodied in an exercise system that can allow its user to counterbalance the effects associated with a predominantly sedentary lifestyle though a fitness device that comprises a combination of (a) supporting the lower body in a manner that permits a user's upper body to act as a third class lever with the user's hips operating as fulcrum and (b) engaging in resistance exercises with the upper body in a horizontal position, unsupported above the greater trochanter.
Multidimensional Mobilization of Lumbar, Pelvic, and Hip Joints
A device for multidimensional mobilization of lumbar, pelvic, and hip joints with a generally concave upper surface connected to a generally convex lower surface is disclosed, wherein the generally concave upper surface has a recess to cradle a sacrum.
ROTATIONAL MOTION TRAINER DEVICE
A rotational motion trainer aid device including a wearable body harness having a shoulder member for providing a constant rotation resistance to one or more shoulder muscles during a range of shoulder rotation movement, a back member for providing a constant rotation resistance to one or more spinal muscles during a range of spinal rotation movement, and a hip member for providing a constant rotation resistance to one or more hip muscles during a range of hip rotation movement, and including an anchor aperture for attachment of the wearable body harness to an anchor point for generating resistance throughout the wearable body harness.
Joint separator for body alignment
A spinal treatment system includes a traction device, an exercise device adapted for imparting curvature to the lumbar or sacral spine of a user and for manipulating the spine and intervertebral discs with decompression force, and a cushion coupled to the traction device and configured to bear against one or both of a head of the user and the thoracic spine of the user. The exercise device includes a frame for placement on the floor. A pad or inflatable bladder is carried by the top surface of the frame. A body strap attachment portion encompasses the thoracic-sacral spinal vertebrae region of the user and secures the frame to the user. The cushion includes one or more pad sections or inflatable bladder sections.
