OPTICAL ASSEMBLIES WITH MANAGED CONNECTIVITY

An adapter assembly includes a single-piece or two-piece multi-fiber adapter defining a recess at which a contact assembly is disposed. The adapter assemblies can be disposed within adapter block assemblies or cassettes, which can be mounted to moveable trays. Both ports of the adapters disposed within adapter block assemblies are accessible. Only one port of each adapter disposed within the cassettes are accessible. Circuit boards can be mounted within the block assemblies or cassettes to provide communication between the contact assemblies and a data network.

A telecommunications device includes a rack defining right, left, front, rear, top, and bottom sides, the rack defining mounting locations in a stacked arrangement from the bottom to the top, the mounting locations for receiving modules defining connection locations. A cable storage bay is located at one of the right and left sides of the rack and defines front and rear cable storage areas. Both the front and rear cable storage areas include cable management structures for managing and guiding cables toward and away from the connection locations. A trough is defined at the top of the rack, the trough configured for extending cables to other racks in a front to rear direction, the trough also defining a cable drop-off communicating with the cable storage bay for extending cables to either of the front or rear cable storage areas for further connection to the connection locations.

Bladed chassis systems

A bladed chassis system facilitates installation of the bladed chassis system and replacement of the blades at the chassis. For example, a front panel of the blade can be opened either upwardly or downwardly at the discretion of the user. Blades can be inserted and removed from the front and/or the rear of the bladed chassis system at the discretion of the user. Cables can be routed to the rear of the chassis system from either of two sides at the discretion of the user. The blades carried by the chassis have fiber management trays that can be rotationally oriented in any desired rotational position at the discretion of the user.

A modular high density communications chassis, comprising a chassis and slidable carrier module is provided. The chassis comprises a second track having a first and second stage access fixing recess and a sectional sliding mechanism having a moveable squeeze-release latching rail mechanism. The slidable carrier module comprises a push-pull tab and a snap-fit mechanism, and is slidably mounted to the second track and squeeze-release latching rail mechanism. The slidable carrier module is slidably mounted to the chassis vertically. The snap-fit mechanism is configured to secure and release the slidable carrier module in and from a first stage position when corresponding to the first stage access fixing recess, and in and from a second stage position when corresponding to the second stage access fixing recess, via pulling and pushing of the at least a push-pull tab, respectively, providing staged access to the slidable carrier module and staged management of the connector cables extending to and therefrom.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS CHASSIS WITH SLIDABLE TRAYS
20210311277 · 2021-10-07 · ·

A slide assembly for slidably coupling a telecommunications tray to a telecommunications chassis includes a rail configured for mounting to the chassis, the rail defining a rail sliding cavity flanked by a first detent adjacent a first end and a second detent adjacent a second end of the rail, the rail further comprising first and second chassis mounting features, the first and the second chassis mounting features are oriented with respect to each other such that if two of the same rails are aligned and brought together in a juxtaposed relationship with the first and second chassis mounting features facing each other, the first and the second chassis mounting features can nest relative to each other so as to not increase the total width of the two rails. A guide configured for mounting to the telecommunications tray defines a guide sliding cavity configured to slidably receive the rail such that the rail sliding cavity and the guide sliding cavity face each other, the guide defines a pin connected thereto via a flexible cantilever arm, at least a portion of the pin extending into the rail sliding cavity when the rail and the guide are in a sliding relationship for latching by the first and second detents of the rail in providing two predetermined stop positions for the guide.
