A modular high density communications chassis including a chassis, pull-out cable management system (POCMS), and at least two or more slidable carrier modules (carrier module(s)) is provided. The carrier modules are slidably mounted to the chassis and POCMS vertically, respectively. The POCMS is assembled to the chassis. In an operational position, ends of the carrier modules of the chassis extend outward from an access mounting opening of the chassis and ends of the carrier modules of the POCMS, alternately neighboring, lie flush with a plane of the access mounting opening. A handle of the POCMS is configured to move the POCMS from the operational position to a cable management position, whereby, the ends of the carrier modules of the POCMS extend past the ends of the carrier modules of the chassis, providing staged access to the carrier modules and staged management of connector cables extending to and therefrom.

CABLE MANAGEMENT DEVICE

A cable management device for mounting to a telecommunications fixture includes an outer barrel disposed over an inner barrel, one of the outer barrel and the inner barrel defining a plurality of discrete detents positioned in a stacked arrangement axially along an length thereof, and the other of the outer barrel and the inner barrel defining at least one flexible cantilever arm defining a tab configured to lock into a selected one of the detents for allowing adjustment of a length of the cable management device.

Optical fiber distribution system

An optical fiber distribution system including a rack and elements which populate the rack including fiber terminations. Each element includes a chassis and a movable tray. The movable tray includes a synchronized movement device for moving a cable radius limiter. The tray includes cable terminations which extend in a line generally parallel to a direction of movement of the movable tray. Each of the cable terminations are mounted on hinged frame members positioned on each tray. The cables entering and exiting the movable tray follow a generally S-shaped pathway.

ACCESSORY POSITIONING SYSTEM FOR CABLE MANAGER

An accessory positioning system for a cable manager includes a spine member, a first lateral member, an accessory rod, and a first cable management accessory. The spine member has an extruded construction and defines an x-axis of a three-dimensional cable management space. The first lateral member has an extruded construction and defines a y-axis of the three-dimensional cable management space. The spine member is slidably paired with the first lateral member to facilitate infinite adjustability of a location of the spine member along the x-axis of the three-dimensional cable management space within a range defined by a length of the first lateral member. The accessory rod has an extruded construction and define a z-axis of the three-dimensional cable management space. The accessory rod protrudes from the spine member and is slidably paired therewith to facilitate infinite adjustability of a location of the accessory rod along the y-axis of the three-dimensional cable management space within a range defined by a length of the spine member. A cable pillar is provided for use in a switch system. The cable pillar includes a cavity that enables a plurality of cables to pass from a first side to a second side of the cable pillar. For example, the cables may be routed from sets of access paths located in rails mounted on the sides of the cable pillar to enlarged access paths located near the top or bottom of the cable pillar. The enlarged access paths may be sized to receive every cable that passes through a set of access paths located on an opposing side of the cable pillar from a corresponding enlarged access path. Additionally, the cable pillar may be configured to releasably attach to a chassis of the switch system. In some examples, the plurality of cables accommodated by the cable pillar may serve as a cable backplane of the switch system.

Minimal touch post for multi-layer cable routing

A system includes a tray, where the tray includes a rail and a bracket that secures the rail to a networking device such that the rail is distanced from a surface of the networking device. A support post is removably coupled to the rail. The support post includes a first support member and a second support member vertically displaced from the first support member, where each of the first and second support members includes a support structure that supports a cable connected with a port at the surface of the networking device and routes the cable away from the networking device to another location distanced from the networking device. The cable supported by the first support member is separated and segregated from the cable supported by the second support member. With minimal touch, a support post can be moved from one location to another along the rail.
