Communication patch panel and communication rack system
The present invention relates to a communication patch panel and a communication rack system having the communication patch panel. The communication patch panel includes a panel body (2) having two ends as well as a front side (21) and a rear side. The communication patch panel includes two fittings (3), each of which is configured to be mounted on a communication rack (20) and to be detachably connected to one of the ends of the panel body, wherein each of the fittings provides a plurality of transverse positions for the detachable connection. A plurality of different positionings of the panel body may be flexibly realized in the communication patch panel.
Patch panel adapters
Adapters for mounting patch panels to data center racks enable the patch panels to be repositioned with respect to the racks in a rotatable or pivotable manner. A patch panel mounted to an adapter has a jack or port on one side of the adapter, and a jack or port on another side of the adapter. With the adapter aligned at an obtuse angle with respect to a front edge of a rack, a component may be inserted into the rack, or removed from the rack. Subsequently, the adapter aligned at an acute angle, or any other angle, with respect to the front edge of the rack. Mounting patch panels to the adapters enables the patch panels to be maintained outside of the rack, and increases a number of components that may be installed within the rack, or space or volume that may e occupied by components within the rack.
Apparatus for cable routing
A communication system may include a first chassis having first and second side walls and adapted to slidably receive therein a plurality of cassettes. A first cable hanger assembly may have a first side edge hingedly coupled to the first side wall of the first chassis, the first cable hanger assembly including a plurality of first hangers adapted to support cables thereon. An axis of rotation of the first cable hanger assembly may be substantially orthogonal to a direction in which the plurality of cassettes are slideable. The cable hanger assembly may be rotatable from a first position to a second position so that during rotation from the first position to the second position, the plurality of first hangers move toward front faces of the plurality of cassettes.
Modular telecommunications patch panel
In accordance with some aspects of the disclosure, a modular telecommunications patch panel system is shown and described. The panel can include a mounting frame extending between a first end and a second end, the mounting frame defining a plurality of apertures for receiving telecommunications components, a first mounting ear forming a snap-fit connection with the mounting frame first end, in a first orientation, and a second mounting ear, identical to the first mounting ear, forming a snap-fit connection with the mounting frame second end, in a second orientation.
INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT) SYSTEM FOR CABLING INFRASTRUCTURE
A system for cabling infrastructure that includes at least one port, at least one shutter, at least one sensor and a gateway is provided. The port is configured to be selectively coupled to a connector. Each shutter is configured to have an open state that allows access to an associated port and a closed state that covers the port. Each sensor is configured to sense the open state and the closed state of an associated shutter and generate shutter state signals that include information relating to a current sensed state of the associated shutter and an identification of a port that is associated with the associated shutter. The gateway is in wireless communication with each sensor to receive the shutter state signals. The gateway is configured to communicate the shutter state signals that indicate a change in a state of an associated shutter to a remote location.
Cassette adapter and method of installation
A cassette adapter for the installation of a cassette in a patch panel of a data rack including a base configured to accept the cassette, a front frame connected to a distal end of the base, at least one latch connected to the base, and a mounting portion configured to mount the cassette adapter to the panel. The cassette adapter being configured to retain the cassette within the cassette adapter and connect the cassette to the patch panel in a removable fashion.
MODULAR INTERFACE PATCH PANEL
Configurations for interface panels are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, an interface panel includes removable receptacles to provide communication to rack components.
RACK CONTROLLER WITH NATIVE SUPPORT FOR INTELLIGENT PATCHING EQUIPMENT INSTALLED IN MULTIPLE RACKS
One embodiment is directed to a system comprising a portable device executing a mobile application; and a rack controller without a display unit, the rack controller comprising a base unit. The base unit includes a processor configured to execute software that directs the processor to interact with the mobile application to show information and receive user input associated with the rack controller and at least one of rack and patching equipment installed in one or more racks even if there is not a display unit coupled to the base unit. In additional embodiments, a rack controller is configured to determine whether each rack controller interface is connected to another rack controller as a function of a respective sense signal developed by the termination circuit associated with said rack controller interface. Other embodiments are disclosed.
EXTENDABLE PATCH PANEL
An extendable telecommunications patch panel (10) is disclosed. In one aspect, the patch panel can include a plurality of interconnectable connection parts (100) for holding telecommunications connectors (12), such as adapters. Each connection part (100) may be provided with features that allow the connection parts (100) to be interlocked with each other to form the extendable patch panel (10). In one aspect, a first connection feature (122) can be located on a connection part first side (102) and a second connection feature (124) can be located on a connection part second side (104). The first connection feature (122) can be configured to interlock with the second connection feature (124) of an adjacent connection part (100). The connection part (100) may also be provided with an adapter (150) that allows the connection parts (100) to be connected in a staggered formation to result in a staggered patch panel (10).
Telecommunications panel with patching device installation features
A telecommunications panel has various features for removably mounting patching devices to the panel. The telecommunications panel includes mounting flanges and ramp elements for facilitating mounting and removal of patching devices. The ramp element is associated with a receptacle opening of the panel and configured to contact a flexible latch of the patching device and depress the flexible latch as the patching device is received in the receptacle opening.
