Bidirectionally Installable Intermediate Modular Adapter for a Rack-Mounted Panel
A bidirectionally installable intermediate modular adapter for a rack mounted panel is provided, including a front face, an opposing rear face, a first side surface and opposing second side surface each comprising a spring tab latch and spring tab latch receiver. The spring tab latch comprises a first ramp positioned towards the front face and a second ramp positioned towards the opposing rear face, a groove defined at least in part by the first ramp and second ramp, a first latch arm positioned towards the front face, a second latch arm positioned towards the opposing rear face, a spring tab latch connector positioned towards the spring tab receiver, and a compression spring. At least one opening extends from the front face through the body to the opposing rear face and an upper surface comprises a groove extending at least partially lengthwise across the upper surface.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS PANEL WITH PATCHING DEVICE INSTALLATION FEATURES
A telecommunications panel has various features for removably mounting patching devices to the panel. The telecommunications panel includes mounting flanges and ramp elements for facilitating mounting and removal of patching devices. The ramp element is associated with a receptacle opening of the panel and configured to contact a flexible latch of the patching device and depress the flexible latch as the patching device is received in the receptacle opening.
Cassette adapter and method of installation
A cassette adapter for the installation of a cassette in a patch panel of a data rack including a base configured to accept the cassette, a front frame connected to a distal end of the base, at least one latch connected to the base, and a mounting portion configured to mount the cassette adapter to the panel. The cassette adapter being configured to retain the cassette within the cassette adapter and connect the cassette to the patch panel in a removable fashion.
Telecommunication appliance having high density embedded pluggable optics
A telecommunication appliance and method is described. In the method, a flexible cover part of an appliance cover of a telecommunication appliance supported by a telecommunication rack is removed while the telecommunication appliance is in service and passing data. The telecommunication appliance has a plurality of pluggable optical modules installed within connectors within a space encompassed by the appliance cover. The connectors are operably connected to a power supply supplying power to the connectors. When a first one of the connectors is devoid of a pluggable optical module being installed within the first one of the connectors, a first pluggable optical module is plugged into the first one of the connectors.
CONNECTOR MOUNTING RACK AND PATCH PANEL SYSTEM THEREOF
A connector mounting rack configured to assemble a plurality of connectors includes a panel, a frame and one or more first partitions. The panel has a plurality of openings formed in an array, each adjacent two of the openings separated by a portion of the panel. The frame is arranged at a back side of the panel. The frame has one or more first walls arranged corresponding to the portion of the panel between the openings along a first direction to define a slot between each adjacent two of the first walls. The slot communicates with the opening. Each of the one or more first walls has an assembling part. Each of the one or more first partitions has a first engaging part and removably connected to one of the one or more first walls by engaging the first engaging part with the assembling part.
Data center cabling variation detection with a documentation notification system
Aspects of the invention include detecting activity at a physical location in a data center and identifying a device having a connection proximate to the physical location. It is determined whether configuration documentation for the device has been updated subsequent to the detecting of the activity. A request to update the configuration documentation is sent based on determining that the configuration documentation for the device has not been updated subsequent to the detecting.
AUTOMATED CAPTURE OF INFORMATION ABOUT FIXED CABLING
One embodiment is directed to detecting that a cable has been connected to a port of patching equipment and detecting that the cable is no longer connected to said port. In response to detecting that the cable is no longer connected, information associated with fixed cabling coupled to said port that is captured by a cable tester is downloaded to a controller. The downloaded information is associated with said port and the downloaded information and association information is locally stored at the controller. The locally stored information can then be used to create and/or populate objects in a database. Another embodiment is directed to including a storage device and a wireless interface in patching equipment or other equipment such as an outlet or consolidation point for use in writing information to the storage device and reading information from the storage device via the wireless interface. COMMUNICATION PATCH PANEL AND COMMUNICATION RACK SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a communication patch panel and a communication rack system having the communication patch panel. The communication patch panel includes a panel body (2) having two ends as well as a front side (21) and a rear side. The communication patch panel includes two fittings (3), each of which is configured to be mounted on a communication rack (20) and to be detachably connected to one of the ends of the panel body, wherein each of the fittings provides a plurality of transverse positions for the detachable connection. A plurality of different positionings of the panel body may be flexibly realized in the communication patch panel.
