CONNECTOR ELEMENT INFORMATION DETECTIONS
A device receives an analog voltage signal over a single physical electrical connection. The analog voltage signal can be converted into a digital value which can then be correlated to (i) an indication of a connection state of the primary device, and (ii) information about another device (or set of devices) which is connected to the device.
COMMUNICATION NODE
A solution is provided that can be used in a communication node. A case is provided that supports a card module. The card module includes a circuit board with a front edge and a rear edge and includes a chiclet mounted adjacent the front edge. A housing can be pressed onto the circuit board and chiclet and be retain the housing in place. A transformer box is provided is provided on the circuit board between the housing and the rear edge. A POE card can be mounted on the circuit board between the transformer box and the housing.
SYSTEMS, APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR SYNCHRONIZATION PULSE CONTROL OF CHANNEL BANDWIDTH ON DATA COMMUNICATION BUS
An input/output (I/O) and control system for long distance communications and industrial applications having a bus and protocol for communications between field devices and a channel generator for monitoring and control of the field devices. The channel generator produces an offset square wave of configurable frequency on the bus, and sends a synchronization pulse of selected duration at the start of each bus scan cycle in a pulse train cycle to reset counters in the field devices before the bus scan cycle is repeated, to ensure field devices are synchronized, transmitters transmit on the correct channel, and receivers sample the pulse cycle at the correct time. Changing the synchronization pulse length increases bandwidth for shorter, less noisy and more stable systems and inversely decreases bandwidth for increased noise immunity and distance for longer, noisier and less stable systems.

Channel estimation
Methods and devices related to channel estimation for a communication system comprising a plurality of communication connections are provided. For channel estimation, test sequences are used having three different elements, for example 1, 0 and +1.
Data sending method and apparatus
This application provides a data sending method and apparatus. The method includes: A node generates a first modulation symbol corresponding to a first modulation scheme. The node quantizes the first modulation symbol to obtain a target symbol. The target symbol corresponds to one of a plurality of constellation points of a second modulation scheme. The node preprocesses the target symbol to obtain to-be-sent data. The preprocessing includes one or more of layer mapping, antenna port mapping, precoding, or transform precoding. The node maps the to-be-sent data to a physical resource, and sends the to-be-sent data by using the physical resource.
RF receiver with built-in self-test function
A radio frequency (RF) receive circuit is described herein. In accordance with one embodiment, the RF receive circuit includes a mixer configured to receive an RF input signal to down-convert the RF input signal into a base-band or intermediate frequency (IF) band, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and a signal processing chain coupled between the mixer and the ADC. The signal processing chain includes at least two circuit nodes. The RF receive circuit further includes an oscillator circuit that is configured to generate a test signal. The oscillator circuit is coupled to the signal processing chain and is configured to selectively feed the oscillator signal into one of the at least two circuit nodes.
Methods and devices for data demodulation
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods and device for receiving PAM data stream. In an embodiment, a method comprises receiving a signal stream modulated with pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) associated with a plurality of bit patterns; determining boundary voltages for the plurality of bit patterns; and calibrating, based on the boundary voltages, a threshold voltage for use in recognition of the plurality of bit patterns. In this way, bit patterns may be accurately recognized based on the calibrated threshold voltage.
Port-to-port visual identification system
A distribution system that includes central ports connected by lines to respective remote ports includes a visual identification system that enables either identifying the central ports connected with selected remote ports, or identifying the remote ports connected with selected central ports. The visual identification system includes signal paths extending between the central and remote ports. The signal paths are connected to output devices that generate visual, auditory, or tactile feedback to identify the ports. The signal paths operate independently of the lines connecting the ports.
