Call flow system and method for use in a legacy telecommunication system
A method of operating a network server, such as a mobile application gateway, connect devices on a cellular or carrier network with individual networks, such as enterprise voice and data networks or residential networks. The effects of the present invention are far reaching in terms of transferring effective call control from the cellular network into the control of the individual network, such as the enterprise, and enabling new business models for the purchase of cellular service from a public cellular carrier by an enterprise.
Clearing House Signaling
In one embodiment, a network interface receives a communication request over a communication link of a first network according to a first signaling protocol. A processor then verifies caller information in the communication request with a certification procedure. The processor converts the communication request to a second signaling protocol used in a second network. The processor transmits the converted communication request according to the second signaling protocol.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR COMMUNICATIONS NODE UPGRADE AND SELECTION
Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for intelligent node type selection in a telecommunications network. In one implementation, a customer set is obtained for a communications node in the telecommunications network. The customer set includes an existing customer set and a new customer set. A set of customer events is generated for a node type of the communications node using a simulator. The set of customer events is generated by simulating the customer set over time through a discrete event simulation. An impact of the customer events is modeled for the node type of the communications node. The node type is identified from a plurality of node types for a telecommunications build based on the impact of the customer events for the node type.
On premises gateways interconnecting VoIP systems, the public switched telephone network and private branch exchanges and other telephony infrastructure
A system and computer-implemented method for providing telephony communication services for VoIP or analog telephony devices using an on-premises gateway and remotely located VoIP system are described. Some implementations of the methods may include generating a configuration file mapping a plurality of tag extensions to a plurality of analog telephone ports of a high-density analog telephony adapter (HDATA), which may be communicatively coupled to the VoIP system. The VoIP system may transmit the configuration file to the HDATA, receive a telephony service request, and determine a tag extension based on the telephony service request. The VoIP system may transmit an identification of the tag extension to the HDATA and route a telephony service to the HDATA via the communication channel using the tag extension.

Method and system for providing alternate network access
Methods and systems for configuring communication at a premises are described. A network device at a premises may be in communication with a first network and a second network. The network device may receive data from a communication device located at the premises. The network device may transmit the data via the first network or the second network based on configuration data, which may be received from a computing device.
USER AUTHENTICATION BASED ON SS7 CALL FORWARDING DETECTION
A user authentication system that analyzes call forwarding information obtained from telecommunication networks, such as through the use of Signaling System No. 7 (“SS7”) protocols, to detect the possibility of fraud. In response to a request to access a network-accessible service, the system performs an initial authentication of provided user account credentials. The system then obtains a telecommunication subscriber identifier that is associated with the user account. Prior to performing additional device-based user authentication, the system obtains call forwarding information for the user. The obtained call forwarding information is then evaluated for potentially fraudulent call forwarding configurations. For example, call forwarding to certain call forwarding numbers, or the use of different call forwarding types, may be indicative of fraud intended to undermine further user authentication.
CALL FLOW SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USE IN A VOIP TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method of establishing a communication link between a mobile terminal of a wireless network and a subscriber of a network, such as an enterprise network, and/or a residential network.
System and method for Virtual Global Title Translation Service
A Virtual Global Title Translation (V-GTT) Service implemented in a Signaling Connection Control Part (SCCP) Gateway using a single American National Standards Institute (ANSI) SS7 Point Code and a single International Telecommunications Union (ITU) SS7 Point Code for access to destination hubs on ITU and ANSI SS7 side of the SS7 network. The V-GTT enables ANSI SS7 and ITU SS7 operators to send their destination SS7 hub-specific traffic to a single hub-specific protocol for either the ANSI or ITU SS7 Point Code of V-GTT. The V-GTT Service application manages the traffic between ANSI/ITU SS7 operator and destination SS7 hub operators and performs ANSI SS7 to ITU SS7 (or ITU SS7 to ANSI SS7) protocol conversion if the destination hub is on a different SS7 protocol, thereby enabling an originating operator to send traffic to a single V-GTT Service hub-specific point code using the protocol that the originating operator currently employs.
