Techniques for call authentication
Various embodiments described herein are directed towards authenticating calls by using one or more keys associated with a specific user. In examples, the user is the sender of a call. In various embodiments, when a call is made, an identifying payload is encrypted using a private key associated with the user. The encrypted identifying payload is appended to the call data stream. The identifying payload may be decrypted with a public key. In embodiments, the identifying payload may be verified. In various embodiments, further authentication methods may be performed by using an object such as a contactless card to provide one or more components of the identifying payload and/or keys. In embodiments, a connection may be made between the sender and the intended recipient of a call based on the verification of the identifying payload.
Very small aperture terminal including cell site components, and a system
A Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) and cellular system to provide backhaul satellite communications for a cellular base station are disclosed. The VSAT including an Evolved Packet Core (EPC) Core Network (CN) device; and a satellite modem connected to the EPC CN device and to communicate over a satellite link, wherein the EPC CN device manages communication of user traffic from the cellular base station to the satellite modem.
User-based differentiated routing system and method
A differentiated routing system includes an electronic service in communication with an ingress gateway that receives a communication service, such as a call from a terminal, over a trunk. The service receives a request from the ingress gateway for establishing a communication service for the calling party terminal. The service obtains information associated with the calling party terminal, which may be based on the trunk and its relationship to a customer, in which the information is to be used for applying at least one of a routing decision and policy decision to the communication service, and appends a tag to the request based on the information. The service may then transmit the request appended with the information to a routing device, which may then use the information when providing the service.
System and method for provision of a second line service to a telecommunications device
A method and system for providing a second line service (SLS) feature to a subscriber using a telecommunications device (TD) which includes receiving at a switch on the network of the subscriber's primary service provider a communication made up of a trigger and a directory number. When the communication is received at the primary service provider's switch, the switch parses the communication and detects the trigger. Once the switch has received the communication, the switch additionally transmits a query message to a SLS platform that manages the SLS feature. As a result of the switch's query message transmission, the switch receives a reply to the query message from the SLS platform. Based at least in part on the reply to the query message, the switch can route the communication such that the switch connects one or multiple voice channel circuit between the subscriber's TD and the terminating TD.
Queueing multi-channel communications for a contact center
Various embodiments of the invention provide methods, systems, and computer program products for routing a communication in a contact center. Specifically, a treatment is selected for a communication from a plurality of treatments. Here, each treatment includes a plurality of agents to handle communications placed in the treatment and a set of queues in which each queue includes a value range. A determination is made as to whether the communication is using a chaining or non-chaining channel. If the communication is using a chaining channel, then a target agent designated to handle communications placed in the treatment using the chaining channel and corresponding queue are identified based on a value of the communication. If the communication is using a non-chaining channel, then a queue is selected from the set of queues for the treatment based on the value of the communication falling within the value range for the queue.
Terminal implementing a communication method, and server implementing a method for establishing a communication between two terminals
Methods and devices for establishing a communication between a first and a second terminal are described. The disclosed technology can be implemented in or by a server or a terminal in communication with the server. The first terminal can to the server, using a first calling identity, a request including connection information and an identifier of the first terminal. Using the identifier, the server can obtain from a database a pair of calling identities including one certified and one non-certified, the pair comprising the first calling identity and a second calling identity. The server can determine, from one of the calling identities and from the connection information, a connectivity mode of the terminal, and determine a routable number on which the terminal can send a communication to the server. The server can route the communication towards the second terminal by presenting a calling identity of the pair and sending the routable number to the first terminal.
System and method for provision of an advanced network function to a device
Enhanced capabilities within a telephone network are made accessible to a telecommunications device. The telecommunications device is used to dial a sequence. A network server receives and identifies the sequence invokes an advanced network function. A advanced network function server in communication with the network server provides instructions as to how the network server is to provide the advanced network function. The network server processes the call in accordance with the received instructions to provide the particular advanced network function.

Pre-authorized communication services and/or transactions are provided via a plurality of networks in response to a request received from a user to provide at least one of a communication service, a transaction and user account information via a plurality of networks of different types. Prior to processing the request, there is verification of the user's authorization to receive the at least one of the communication service, the transaction, and the user account information, and that an account associated with the user has a sufficient amount currently available for payment of the at least one of the communication service and the transaction. After verification, an authorized account associated with the user is charged in real time as the at least one of the communication service and the transaction is provided.
Optimized system and method for notifying a called party of a call attempt
A system and method for notifying a called party of a call attempt is provided. The method comprises initiating a communication request by a calling party; routing the communication request to an intelligent network via an mobile service center; validating the communication request by the intelligent network; and handing over the communication request to an intelligent platform by the intelligent network in the event of a nonstandard trigger event such as calling party insufficient balance. The processing of communication request by the intelligent platform includes monitoring number of call attempts, introducing a delay in sending notification, monitoring availability of called party and performing one or more actions based on the delay and the availability of the called party.
IP-enabled information delivery
A method, system, and computer readable medium comprising instructions for providing Internet protocol enabled information delivery are provided. Information from a calling party is received at an Internet protocol enabled device. A lookup of information relating to the calling party is performed in a database via an Internet protocol connection. A message is received from the database comprising information relating to the calling party.
