FIXED LINE RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
20180131559 · 2018-05-10 ·

A method and system of managing fixed line network elements. Data from disparate sources is received by a processing layer of a monitoring server via a wireline communication network. The intelligence layer determines whether a first node from the disparate nodes is new or pre-existing. Based on a determination by the intelligence layer whether a node is new or pre-existing, different static rules are applied to the received data from the first node. Contextual information is retrieved from the measurements megastore related to the first node. A root cause of a malfunction of the first node is determined. A notification is generated based on the root cause of the malfunction.

Individualization of migration between telephony systems

Various technologies described herein pertain to controlling migration of a source endpoint in a source telephony system to a destination endpoint in a destination telephony system. The source endpoint is deactivated and the destination endpoint is activated as part of the migration. The migration of endpoints between the source telephony system and the destination telephony system can be performed in an individualized manner. Source information that specifies a state of the source endpoint is retrieved from the source telephony system and destination information that specifies a state of the destination endpoint is retrieved from the destination telephony system. Moreover, a validation is performed concerning whether the source endpoint is migratable to the destination endpoint based on the source information and the destination information. Subsequent to validating that the source endpoint is migratable to the destination endpoint, the migration is performed to deactivate the source endpoint and activate the destination endpoint.

Telephony equipment migration

A telephony equipment migration arrangement is provided. The telephony equipment migration arrangement includes legacy telephony equipment located in one or more equipment bays, at least one transport cable, with one or more connectors, to provide external carrier connectivity, replacement telephony equipment located in one or more equipment bays remote from the legacy telephony equipment, and at least one remote coupling cable, with one or more connectors, connected to the replacement telephony equipment. The connector(s) of the remote coupling cable are mounted in a location having a predetermined locational relationship with the equipment bay in which the legacy telephony equipment is located, and the transport cable is communicatively coupled to the remote coupling cable.

Pin-hole firewall for communicating data packets on a packet network

A pin-hole firewall network communications device that includes a first port configured to communicate data packets over a packet network and a first counter module in communication with the first port. A pin-hole firewall module may be in communication with the first counter module. A call control module may be in communication with the first counter module and the pin-hole firewall function. The call control module is configured to communicate with the pin-hole firewall module to alter the communication of data packets through a firewall pin-hole. A second counter module may be in communication with the pin-hole firewall function and the call control module. A second port may in communication with the second counter module and the packet network and be configured to communicate data packets over a second node segment of the packet network.

Network event tracking

A method and system for tracking network events are provided. A network event tracking system includes a network event database, multiple disparate networks, and a report generator. The network event database stores network event data and network element data associated with the multiple disparate networks. A vendor corresponding to each network element supplements the network element data stored in the network event database with vendor data when the network element is operating in a specified condition. The report generator utilizes the network event database to provide snapshots of network health during specified periods based on the network events associated with the network elements. Also, the report generator provides definitions for network acronyms and contact information for network sites associated with network elements.

Network subscription management service for enterprise network collaboration
12294821 · 2025-05-06 · ·

Methods, systems, and computer-readable storage media for network subscription management. An example method includes receiving a request, from a collaboration network, for sub-network subscription offerings that are available for a user of the collaboration network. The user is identified in the collaboration network using a collaboration network identifier and is currently subscribed to a first subscription plan offering of a first sub-network. Compatible sub-network subscription offerings that are available for the user of the collaboration network that are compatible with the first subscription plan offering are determined and provided to the collaboration network. An indication of a selected second subscription plan offering for a second sub-network is received. Subscription service interface information for connecting to the second sub-network is determined and a connection is established to the second sub-network using the subscription service interface information.
