Walking assist device
A walking assist device has a frame, a pair of right and left arm portions, a pair of right and left grasp portions, wheels including a pair of right and left drive wheels, drive units, a battery, a drive control unit, acting force measurement units that measure acting forces on the grasp portions, and holding units that hold the grasp portions at a predetermined position in the front-rear direction of the arm portions set in advance. The walking assist device travels forward together with a user. The holding units generate a restoring force for returning the grasp portions to the predetermined position. The drive control unit controls the drive units on the basis of acting forces calculated on the basis of detection signals from the acting force measurement units.
RESISTANCE ADJUSTABLE EXERCISE DEVICE
A resistance adjustable exercise device, including a resistance assembly to provide resistance to movement, a handle assembly connected to at least a portion of the resistance assembly to move the resistance assembly in at least one of a first rotational direction and a second rotational direction, and a control unit disposed on at least a portion of the handle assembly to adjust at least one of a first resistance level and a second resistance level of the resistance assembly.
Method and system for using artificial intelligence to independently adjust resistance of pedals based on leg strength
A method is disclosed for using an artificial intelligence engine to modify resistance of pedals of an exercise device. The method includes generating, by the artificial intelligence engine, a machine learning model trained to receive measurements as input, and outputting, based on the measurements, a control instruction that causes the exercise device to modify, independently from each other, the resistance of the pedals. While a user performs an exercise using the exercise device, the method includes receiving the measurements from sensors associated with the pedals. The method includes determining, based on the measurements, a quantifiable or qualitative modification to the resistance provided by a pedal of the pedals. The resistance provided by another pedal of the pedals is not modified. The method includes transmitting the control instruction to the exercise device to cause the resistance provided by the pedal to be modified.
Exercise system for exercising oblique muscles and method of using the system
An exercise system for exercising a body's oblique muscle group relies upon a wheel mechanism having an outer wheel portion arranged at a first radial distance and an inner wheel portion arranged at a second radial distance, where the outer and inner wheel parts include respective sets of handgrips. A weight system is arranged to be coupled to and decoupled from the wheel mechanism. A coupling mechanism couples the weight system to and decouples the weight system from the wheel mechanism, in a first circumferential direction, or in a second circumferential direction. The hand grips allow a user to grasp the wheel mechanism and turn it in the first or the second circumferential directions against a respective force that the wheel mechanism is turned against that is defined by the aggregate selected weight when coupled to the wheel mechanism, in one of the first and second circumferential directions.
Walking assist device
A walking assist device has a frame, fixed handles, rails provided with movable handles, front wheels, rear wheels and that serve as drive wheels, drive units, a battery, and a drive control unit, and travels forward or rearward together with a user that walks while grasping the fixed handles or the movable handles. The walking assist device has an operation mode switching unit that switches between a training mode, in which a load is applied to operation of the body of the user performed as the user walks, and an assist mode in which a load on operation of the body of the user performed as the user walks is alleviated.
PULL ANGLE SELF-ADJUSTING ENDLESS ROPE TRAINER
An endless rope trainer that includes an upright frame, a drive roller supported a distance above ground on the frame, an endless rope entrained around the drive roller, and a means of applying resistance to rotation of the drive roller. A pair of guide rollers are provided proximate the drive roller. The guide rollers pivot together as a unit about the axis of the drive roller independently of the drive roller for maintaining a constant wrap angle of contact of the endless rope on the drive roller regardless of pull angle on the endless rope.
Muscle stimulation device
A vibration apparatus and an associated motor assembly attached to a glove or wrap for a body part to stimulate muscle activity in the area of application. The apparatus is capable of generating vibrations of various amplitudes at the same frequency or within a defined frequency range. The device causes vibration in a limb to which it is attached, such that muscle that are not normally utilized in a single range of motion activity are activated. The mechanism creating the vibration may an eccentric rotating mass vibration motor assembly attached to a glove or wrist support. Use of the device with fitness equipment provides an individual with the benefits associated with vibrational motion such as increased muscle use with a single exercise motion and increased muscle memory during use with sports activities.
PUSH-UP EXERCISE APPARATUS
A push-up exercise apparatus includes two base seats pivotable relative to each other about a vertical axis, and two handgrips respectively disposed on the base seats. Each base seat includes a connecting body. The connecting bodies of the base seats are disposed one above the other and are rotatable relative to each other about the vertical axis. A retaining mechanism includes a rotating cap rotatably disposed on an upper one of the connecting bodies, an elastic member disposed between the connecting bodies, and at least one retaining unit including first and second retaining members respectively disposed on the rotating cap and a lower connecting body and engaged with each other.
