Managing Physical Network Cross-Connects In A Datacenter
A datacenter is represented by a datacenter model including instances of data object instances that represent ports of endpoints, intermediate ports of network components, and cross-connects between ports. In response to receiving specification of a source and destination endpoint, a computer system identifies a path through the data center according to the datacenter model. The path may be identified from among a plurality of candidate paths through the datacenter according to one or more criteria such as speed, capacity, quality, and path length. The path may be output to an operator for implementation and may then be tested. Cross-connects added according to the path may then be added to the datacenter model.

The device may receive, from the caller information device, caller information based on the second query. The device may compare the caller information to a criterion. The device may modify the caller information, to create modified caller information, when the caller information satisfies the criterion. The device may send the modified caller information to the terminating device for forwarding to another device to support determining how to handle, for the called party device, the request to establish the connection.

The method further comprises monitoring at least one of location information, presence information and behavior information associated to the party and processing the communication routing information and the at least one of the location information, presence information and behavior information at least in part on the basis of modification information in an attempt to determine the suitability of modifying the communication routing information. When it is determined that the communication routing information is suitable for modification, causing the party to be advised.

Determining a time to permit a communications session to be conducted
A system and method to facilitate communication between telecommunications participants in a telecommunications network is disclosed. In one aspect, a method of determining a time to permit a communication session by telecommunications participants to be conducted includes causing a telecommunications processor to retrieve, from a data storage: a free time value that is representative of a free time attributed to a participant in the communications session, a funds balance held by the participant, a pre-stored cost per unit time value, and a representation of a billing pattern for the participant. The method also includes causing the telecommunications processor to determine a maximum time to permit the communication session to be conducted as a function of the free time value, the funds balance, the cost per unit time value and the billing pattern. The telecommunications processor initiates ending the communication session when the time to permit the communication session to be conducted expires.
