Network-assisted scanning of a surrounding environment
A system, method and architecture for network-assisted scanning of a surrounding environment. In one example arrangement, the system is operative for receiving real world object identification and spatial mapping data relative to a plurality of real world scenarios sensed by sensing points, each operating as a collection agent configured to collect environmental data in association with a plurality of sensors. The data may be prioritized responsive to at least one of a determination of RAN resource capacity available to the collection agent, e.g., compute resources, storage resources, radio transmission resources, cost of the transmission capacity available to the collection agent, etc. in view of urgency/relevance of the data. Responsive to prioritizing the environmental data, one or more pieces of the environmental data may be transmitted to a nearest edge compute location and/or a cloud-based datacenter network node.
Device location network
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for identifying, at a monitoring system, a location of a device panel, the device panel being configured to communicate with a position module of the monitoring system; obtaining, by the position module, location information for a plurality of anchor devices, each anchor device of the plurality of anchor devices being located within a predefined area of a property; determining, by the position module, a respective location of each anchor device within the predefined area based on analysis of the location information for the plurality of anchor devices; and determining, by the position module, a location for a sensor in the predefined area based on the respective location of at least one anchor device.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING A STIMP RATING FOR A GOLF GREEN
An apparatus and method for determining a stimp rating of a golf putting green surface. The stimp device measures distance traversed over a horizontal surface through a rotary encoder with a predetermined force applied to calculate the Stimp rating of the surface. A microprocessor automates the process and the calculation and communicates the results to the user via a display or wireless communication with a mobile computing device.
System, method and apparatus for augmenting a building control system domain
A system, method and apparatus for augmenting a building control system domain. A sensor network platform can be configured to collect data based on measurements from sensors outside of a legacy building control system domain, and to present information based on the collected data to a known interface supported by the legacy building control system. In one embodiment, the collected data can undergo customized processing by an operation center outside of the legacy building control system domain.
COMPOST MONITORING DEVICE AND SYSTEM
A compost monitoring device for use in monitoring properties of a body of compost, the compost monitoring device being configured to be positioned proximate to the body of compost in use, and including: a sensor array including sensors for sensing properties of gas proximate to the body of compost, the sensors including a temperature sensor for sensing a temperature of the gas, a humidity sensor for sensing a relative humidity of the gas, and a gas sensor for detecting a level of a gas compound emitted from the compost within the gas; a wireless transceiver for wirelessly communicating with another device located remotely from the body of compost; and a controller configured to obtain sensor data from the sensors; generate monitoring data using at least some of the sensor data, and cause the monitoring data to be transmitted to the other device using the wireless transceiver.
INDUSTRIAL DEVICE TO PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT ALERT DELIVERY
A system includes an article of personal protective equipment (PPE) and an industrial controller device configured to control an industrial device. The system includes a first computing device and a second computing device. The first computing device, in response to detecting an industrial controller event, wirelessly broadcasts an event message that solicits an action from a worker. The second computing device, in response to receiving the event message, generates an output that solicits the action from the worker, and in response to detecting a user input associated with the article of PPE, send, a response from the second computing device to the first computing device. The first computing device, in response to receiving the response from the second computing device, performs at least one operation associated with the industrial controller device.
