The crank arm is manufactured of a material with non-uniform strain characteristics, the thin material layer is manufactured of a material with uniform strain characteristics, the crank arm is adapted to be deformed by a force, the thin material layer is adapted to be deformed correspondingly with the deformation of the crank arm, the at least one sensing element is adapted to measure the corresponding strain of the thin material layer to measure the force applied on the crank arm. A bicycle and a stationary exercise bicycle equipped with the crank apparatus are further provided.
POSITION ADJUSTING DEVICE FOR EXERCISING APPARATUS
A position adjusting device for exercising apparatus includes a first frame body and a second frame body that are relatively displaceable in a longitudinal direction. A pressing member and a control assembly are respectively disposed at opposite sides of the first frame body. The control assembly has an axle portion and a deflection portion with an elastically extendable distance therebetween. At least one connecting arm connects the deflection portion and the pressing member. The control assembly is rotatable about the axle portion, so that the deflection portion is movable from a first position through a second position to a third position. When the deflection portion is in the first position, the distance is between a maximum length and a minimum length. When the deflection portion is in the second position, the distance is the minimum length. When the deflection portion is in the third position, the distance is the maximum length.
PEDAL EXERCISE DEVICE WITH INTERCHANGEABLE COMPONENTS
An exercise device, including a base, a body connected to the base, a tension system connected to a top portion of the body, a plurality of rotatable extensions disposed at side portions of the tension system, each of the plurality of rotatable extensions comprising an insertion end at an end portion of each of the plurality of rotatable extensions, and at least one removable attachment to attach to the insertion end of each of the plurality of rotatable extensions.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR POWER METER CALIBRATION
A method of calibrating a crank arm-mounted power meter includes receiving an angle measurement from a first sensor disposed on a crank arm, the angle measurement corresponding to an angular orientation of the crank arm. A predicted load measurement is then calculated based on the angle measurement and weight data for the crank assembly including the crank arm and stored in memory. A load measurement corresponding to a load on the crank arm is obtained and a zero offset value is then calculated by determining a difference between the predicted load measurement and the load measurement. Power calculation logic for determining power applied to the crank arm is then updated using the zero offset value.
Exercise machine
In an exercise machine, foot platforms may travel in inclined circular paths to establish three dimensional operational characteristics. Platform support members may be rotationally synchronized by connected mechanical components such that they are maintained out of phase with each other by one half of a cycle or 180 degrees in counter rotational directions. Crank synchronization in an inclined plane during operation of the exercise machine may provide three-dimensional foot travel in vertical, lateral and longitudinal directions.
ACTIVE STROLLER ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM
Disclosed apparatus include an active stroller entertainment system including an activity base system, attachable with a stroller chassis, to facilitate a physical activity for a child when the child is inside the stroller, and a protective support system configured to operatively couple with the activity base system to support the child during the physical activity. Embodiments include the activity base system and the protective support system detachably attached with a stroller chassis, at least in part to form an activity area, inside the stroller, sufficient to facilitate the physical activity when the child is inside the stroller, while operatively providing support to the child and protection from physical injury within the activity area during the physical activity. The activity area is configured by comprising equipment particularly related to the physical activity, with which the child can actively interact, to improve the child's physical activity skills.
BICYCLING EXERCISE APPARATUS
An apparatus permitting a user to perform a simulated bicycling exercise is provided. The apparatus includes a frame, a first upper rear mounting point and a second lower front mounting point configured to maintain the frame, the first upper rear mounting point having an upper rear movable rotating joint, a seat connected to the frame and configured to support the user in a forward facing orientation, a wheel positioned in association with the frame, and a set of pedals configured to interact with the wheel. The frame is configured to pivot about the first upper rear mounting point and second lower front mounting point in response to leaning by the user causing rotation of at least a portion of the apparatus.
Control device for electrical stimulation apparatus, electrical stimulation apparatus, and pedaling exercise system
A control device for an electrical stimulation apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a control section that adjusts an output of an electrode and communicates with an angular velocity detector, the electrode giving electrical stimulation to a predetermined part of a body doing a pedaling exercise by rotating a crank, the predetermined part being at least one of a leg and an arm, the angular velocity detector detecting an angular velocity of the predetermined part, the angular velocity being accompanied by an operation of the predetermined part during the pedaling exercise. The control section adjusts, according to a result of the detection in the angular velocity detector, an output timing of the electrical stimulation of the electrode such that the electrode gives electrical stimulation to the predetermined part when a state of the operation of the predetermined part during the pedaling exercise is a predetermined operation state.
