INTELLIGENT WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS FOR CONTINUOUS ANALYTE MONITORING
Various embodiments relate generally to continuous monitoring of analyte values received from an analyte sensor system. In some example embodiments, there is provided a method that includes receiving sensor information, calculating and storing estimated analyte measurement values based upon the received sensor information. The method also includes determining one or more communication conditions, and instructing a transceiver to advertise to a first display device in accordance with one or more communication variables based upon the one or more communication conditions. The method then transmits the estimated analyte measurement values to the at least first display device. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also described.
Communication device for wirelessly communicating with a sensor
The invention relates to a communication device (8) for wirelessly communicating with a sensor (4). The communication device (8) comprises a receiver for receiving signals, an amplifier for amplifying the received signals, a transmitter for transmitting signals, and a controller. The controller is operable in a first mode in which signal strength values are determined over time, which are indicative of a strength of an amplified received signal, and in a second mode in which signal transmission and reception are controlled based on the determined signal strength values. The determined signal strength values can be indicative of, for instance, a saturation of the amplifier caused by a transmission operation of another, neighboring communication device such that, by considering the determined signal strength values, the transmission carried out by the communication device (8) can be synchronized with the corresponding operation of the neighboring communication device. This can lead to reduced disturbances.
Data transmission apparatus and data reception apparatus
According to the first aspect of the present invention, a data transmission apparatus includes a transmission control unit which generates a packet for one-way communication including first difference sensor data, and a transmission unit which transmits the generated packet. The first difference sensor data is a difference between first sensor data measured by a sensor and a reference value associated with the first sensor data.
Digital remote air gauge
A unit wirelessly communicates data about the air pressure of a connected body, in this case an air brake line, with another unit having equipment to display this data to an end user. Units can be operated without any other physical external connection, allowing for flexibility in practical usage. The units may, in certain configurations, offer a user interface, collect and store data, and create mesh networking/storage systems with other units. Additional metrics may be collected and transmitted using the underlying communication system. In any case, the invention improves the efficiency and value of FRA required air brake pressure testing.
Technique for transmitting a measurement taken by a sensor
A method for transmitting a measurement taken by a sensor at a current measurement instant, a measurement instant and a measurement forming a measurement point. The method includes: determining a threshold on the basis of measurement points that temporally precede the current measurement point in a collection window; when a slope of a straight line that runs through the current measurement point and the measurement point that immediately precedes it is higher than the threshold, transmitting the measurement upon expiry of a waiting time that corresponds to the minimum time interval between two successive measurement instants in the collection window; when the slope is lower than the threshold, transmitting the measurement upon expiry of a waiting time that corresponds to the maximum time interval between two successive measurement instants in the collection window.
Monitoring system for displaying raw and transformed sensor data in a user interface
The presentation of sensor network information can be provided to a user via a customized dashboard web interface. The dashboard web interface can be based on customized transformation and alert functions that can be applied to one or more sensor channels of data produced from sensors at a monitored location. The customized alerts can provide real-time monitoring of targeted conditions at the monitored location.
POLYMERS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR USING AND MONITORING POLYMERS FOR USE IN MEDICAL POLYMERS, IMPLANTS, AND PROCEDURES
Compositions, methods, devices, and systems are provided comprising a polymer having one or more sensors.
Sensor Deployment Mechanism at a Monitored Location
A universal sensor interface enables selective coupling of one or more sensor module units to a wireless node. Each sensor module unit can contain a suite of sensors selected for a particular sensor application at a monitored location. Reconfiguration of the wireless sensor network can occur seamlessly through the plug-and-play connectivity between the sensor module units and the wireless node.
Modification of a Sensor Data Management System to Enable Sensors as a Service
A modification of a sensor data management system to enable discrete sensor applications. A sensor data control system enables discrete sensor applications to control the configuration, collection, processing, and distribution of sensor data produced by selected sensors at various monitored locations. The sensor service offered by the sensor data control system can be leveraged by any sensor application having an interest in any part of one or more monitored locations.
Biological monitoring device
A biological monitoring device includes a sensor included in a sensor device, performing a detection process of detecting a medical condition of a patient, and performing a process of generating first detection data indicating a result of the detection process, a generation unit realized by the sensor device, indicating contents related to the detection process, and performing a process of generating second detection data having a smaller data volume than the first detection data, on the basis of the first detection data, and a communication unit realized by the sensor device, and performing a process of transmitting the second detection data to a terminal associated with the patient.
