TRANSPARENT SPEAKER FOR DISPLAYS, WINDOWS, AND LENSES

A transducer is described that includes a substrate configured to be deposited on a solid object, and a transparent medium coupled to the substrate and configured to oscillate at a pre-selected frequency upon receipt of an electrical excitation or a mechanical excitation and to provide a first acoustic wave. The transducer also includes an actuator configured to receive an electrical power, and to provide the electrical excitation or the mechanical excitation to the transparent medium, wherein at least a portion of the solid object is viewable through the transparent medium, and the first acoustic wave is at least partially transmitted through an interface of the transparent medium. A system and a non-transitory, computer-readable medium storing instructions to cause the system to perform a method to use the transducer for generating acoustic waves in a transparent medium are also disclosed.

PROTECTIVE MICROPHONE ENCLOSURE FOR AUTOMOTIVE EXTERIOR

A microphone enclosure for a vehicle exterior component includes a housing, and a microphone disposed within the housing. The housing also includes a first outer portion defining a sound channel for conveying sound to the microphone. The microphone enclosure includes a membrane of elastomeric material, such as silicone, disposed over the sound channel and configured to prevent contaminants, such as moisture and dust, from entering the sound channel. The sound channel has at least one dimension configured to provide a specific frequency response or acoustic sensitivity. A protective mesh may be disposed below the first membrane and configured to limit deflection of the first membrane. The housing includes an outer surface defining an aperture and a passageway providing auditory communication between the aperture and the microphone. In some embodiments, the passageway is configured as a tortuous path impeding straight-line access from the aperture to the membrane.

Provided is a speaker box, including housing and sounding unit having diaphragm including vibration portion and suspension portion. The housing includes holder, lower and upper covers. The holder includes holder body, holder extension portion and holder fixing portion. The sounding unit is fixed to the holder fixing portion. Orthographic projection of the vibration portion completely falls into the holder body. The suspension portion is arc-shaped formed by recessing away from the holder body. The lower cover includes lower cover plate and lower cover sidewall. The sounding unit, the holder and the lower cover sidewall define front sound cavity. The sounding unit and the lower cover define rear sound cavity. The lower cover sidewall, the holder fixing portion, the holder extension portion and the upper cover define auxiliary rear sound cavity communicated with the rear sound cavity. The speaker box has large cavity volume and good acoustic performance.

Speaker assembly in a display assistant device

In a display assistant device, a speaker is mounted in a waveguide structure which is at least partially disposed beneath a display screen. The waveguide structure is mounted in an exterior housing which includes speaker grills distributed on a plurality of surfaces of the exterior housing, permitting sound waves from the speaker to be projected outside the exterior housing. A cover structure is disposed on top of the waveguide structure to conceal the waveguide structure and speaker within the exterior housing. The cover structure has a tilted bottom surface configured to be suspended above the waveguide structure and to be separated by a first space. Sound waves projected from an upper portion of the speaker are reflected by the tilted bottom surface and are guided through the first space to exit the device from a speaker grill portion located on a rear side of the exterior housing.
