SPEAKER ASSEMBLY FOR HEARING AID
There is provided a hearing aid with a Receiver In The Ear speaker assembly comprising a connecting member with electric conductors connecting a connector at one end, and a receiver housing with a receiver at the opposite end. A microphone housing with a microphone is attached to the connecting member. Placed along the connecting member, the microphone housing with the microphone is separated by a distance from the receiver in the receiver housing, thus reducing acoustic or mechanical feedback problems. Especially, the microphone and connector may share one common housing.
HEARING DEVICE WITH ACTIVE FEEDBACK CONTROL
An illustrative hearing device includes a housing configured to be partially inserted into an ear canal; an acoustic transducer having an oscillator element configured to generate sound waves, the housing accommodating the acoustic transducer inside an inner volume of the housing; and a sound outlet provided at the housing and configured to enable propagation of sound waves from the inner volume into the ear canal. The acoustic transducer and the housing are configured such that an output impedance of the hearing device measured at the sound outlet has a value of at most 3.5.Math.10.sup.7 kg/(m.sup.4.Math.sec) within a frequency bandwidth of at least 50 Hz comprised in a frequency range between 1000 Hz and 2000 Hz.
HEARING DEVICE COMPRISING AN ADJUSTABLE VENT
A hearing device with an adjustable vent is disclosed. The device includes at least one microphone configured to provide an input signal representing sound, a processor configured to process the input signal and provide a processed signal, at least one loudspeaker configured to receive the processed signal from the processor and to provide an acoustic signal based on the processed signal to the ear of a user, an earpiece comprising a vent, and an electrically controllable valve configured to control the vent, and a valve control unit configured to receive one or more control signals in dependence of a current hearing situation of the hearing device, wherein the valve control unit is configured to adjust the electrically controllable valve in dependence of the one or more control signals to provide the vent to be in a state between an acoustically more open and an acoustically less open state.
Receiver assembly having a distinct longitudinal direction
A receiver assembly including a first receiver having a distinct longitudinal direction and a first longitudinal centre line, and a second receiver having a distinct longitudinal direction and a second longitudinal centre line. The distinct longitudinal directions of the first and second receivers are arranged essentially along a distinct longitudinal direction of the receiver assembly. The receiver assembly further includes one or more microphone units.
Bone conduction skin interface
A skin interface apparatus configured as an interface of a prosthesis with skin of a recipient, including a first portion configured for direct contact with skin of the recipient, and a second portion configured for direct contact with skin of the recipient, wherein the portions have different material properties. In an exemplary embodiment, the first portion is a part of a holding plate pad of a hearing prosthesis and the second portion is part of a driving plate pad of the hearing prosthesis.
Receiver suspension for a hearing assisting device
A hearing assisting (10) device including a receiver (1) for generation of acoustic signals and a fixture (3, 8, 9) for positioning the receiver. A suspension (2, 21, 22) supports the receiver to the fixture. The combination of the receiver and the suspension has a mechanical resonance frequency in the range from 6 kHz to 10 kHz.
Hearing device including a vibration preventing arrangement
The present invention relates to a hearing device adapted to be positioned in an ear canal of a user, the hearing device comprising a receiver unit, a positioning member adapted to position and hold the hearing device in the ear canal of a user, and a vibration preventing arrangement adapted to prevent vibrations of a least part of the positioning member.
ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A SENSOR IN A SPOUT
An assembly of a sound generator having a sound output, a spout connected to the receiver, the spout having a sound channel having a first opening connected to the sound output and a second opening from which sound may be output. The spout has one or more third openings blocked by fastening portions of a dome, and a sensor positioned in the sound channel at the third opening(s). Sound may pass the sensor in the sound channel while travelling in the third opening(s). The assembly may be a personal hearing instrument and the sensor may be a microphone.
ACOUSTIC DEVICE WITH DEFORMABLE SHAPE AS VALVE
An acoustic device is described that comprises an acoustic channel extending through its housing and an acoustic valve disposed in the acoustic channel. The acoustic valve is configured to determine a passage of sound through the housing via the acoustic channel. The acoustic valve comprises a deformable shape forming a deformable perimeter of the acoustic channel, and an actuating mechanism configured to exert an actuating force deforming the deformable shape causing the deformable perimeter to move and change the passage of sound.
Magnet positioning in an external device
A button sound processor, including an RF coil, such as an inductance coil, and a sound processing apparatus and a magnet, which can be a permanent magnet, wherein the button sound processor has a skin interface side configured to interface with skin of a recipient, and the button sound processor is configured such that the magnet is installable into the button sound processor from the skin interface side.
