SPEAKER UNIT FOR A HEARING AID DEVICE SYSTEM, AND HEARING AID DEVICE SYSTEM
A speaker unit detachably mountable to a hearing aid device body configured to be positioned behind an ear of a wearer is disclosed. Further, hearing aid device system comprising the speaker unit is disclosed. The speaker unit comprises a contacting unit comprising at least one contact element and configured to be detachably mountable to a hearing aid device connector of said hearing aid device. The speaker unit further comprises a speaker unit body configured to be positioned at least partly in an ear canal of the wearer and comprising an output transducer unit configured to provide an acoustic signal based on an electrical signal input to said output transducer unit via said at least one contact element. The speaker unit further comprises a connecting unit provided between said speaker unit body and said contacting unit and including at least one wire configured to electrically connect said speaker unit body and said contacting unit. Further, the speaker unit comprises a memory unit configured to store data relating to said speaker unit.
HEARING DEVICE
A holder extends from a part fixed to a housing and curves in substantially S-shape. A portion that extends from the housing and significantly curves for the first time serves as an ear-hanging part. The ear-hanging part is a portion that is hanged on an upper part of an auricle of a user. A portion that curves from the ear-hanging part so as to protrude toward a transmitting surface serves as a holding part. That is, the holding part is a portion that is formed at a position opposed to the transmitting surface and that is closest to the transmitting surface. A grasping part that can be curved, as needed, so as to be slightly distanced away from the transmitting surface is provided further toward the end from the holding part. The grasping part is a portion at which the user grasps the holder, the grasping part being so held allowing for easy attachment to and detachment from the auricle.
Charging system with compressible contacts
A recharging system includes a contact pad charger having a compressible contact pad conformable to a rechargeable device body for charging a power storage device in the rechargeable device body. The contact pad charger includes a power supply configured to provide a supply voltage. The compressible contact pad is electrically coupled to the power supply and defines a first variable resistance in response to a first conductor compression. The rechargeable device body includes a power manager electrically coupled to the power supply and is configured to receive a variable input voltage in response to a first variable voltage drop across the first conductor and to provide a regulated output voltage in response to the received variable input voltage. The regulated output voltage is less than the supply voltage. The power storage device is electrically coupled to the power manager and configured to receive the regulated output voltage for charging.
COCHLEAR EXTERNAL DEVICE WITH EXTERNAL MICROPHONE
A cochlear external device with an external microphone according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include an external device body attached to a side of the head of a user, an internal microphone embedded in the external device body to collect sound, an external microphone located at the outside of the external device body to be attached around the ear of the user to collect sound, a connection cable configured to connect the external microphone and the external device body in a wired manner; and a control unit embedded in the external device body to generate an output signal based on the sound collected by at least one of the internal microphone and the external microphone and transmit the generated output signal to a cochlear implant transplanter.
Speech processor cases
Apparatus and methods for converting one type of speech processor unit into another type of speech processor unit.
Systems and methods for using a selectively configurable interface assembly to program a hearing device
An exemplary hearing device includes an interface assembly comprising a plurality of contacts and a processor coupled to the contacts. The processor is configured to configure, while a receiver assembly is connected to the interface assembly, the contacts to serve as output contacts; output, based on the configuring, audio signals to the receiver assembly by way of the contacts; detect that a device has been connected to the interface assembly in place of the receiver assembly; measure, in response to the detecting, a direct current resistance (DCR) of the device; determine, based on the DCR, that the device is a programming device; reconfigure, in response to determining that the device is the programming device, the contacts to serve as input contacts; and receive, based on the reconfiguring of the contacts to serve as input contacts, programming instructions from the programming device by way of the contacts.
MICROPHONE PLACEMENT
A device including a prosthesis configured with a sound capture system and configured to evoke a hearing percept based on a captured sound captured by the sound capture system, wherein at least a portion of the prosthesis is configured to attach to a head of a recipient such that sound is captured by the sound capture system externally of the recipient at a location below an ear canal of a human.
METHOD FOR CHARGING AN ELECTRICAL DEVICE WORN IN THE EAR CANAL, ELECTRICAL DEVICE, CHARGING MODULE, AND HEARING SYSTEM
The invention relates to a method for charging an electrical device worn in the ear canal, wherein the electrical device is arranged in the ear of a person and a charging module for transmitting electrical energy is connected to the electrical device arranged in the ear. The invention also relates to an electrical device with which such a method may be carried out, a charging module with which such a method may be carried out, and a hearing system with which such a method may be carried out. The electrical device may advantageously be a hearing device or also a hearable or a Smart headphone.
MULTI-PART EARDRUM-CONTACT HEARING AID PLACED DEEP IN THE EAR CANAL
The invention relates to a hearing aid comprising a an eardrum module and an ear canal module, the eardrum module being able to be arranged to be in contact with the eardrum of a person and the ear canal module being able to be arranged in the ear canal of the person.
