Hearing system comprising a hearing aid and a processing device
A hearing aid system configured to compensate for a hearing impairment of a use comprises A) a wearable device adapted for being worn by the user and comprising a1) an input stage comprising at least one input transducer for converting sound around the user to at least one electric input signal representing said sound, and a2) an input stage for providing stimuli representative of a processed version of said least one electric input signal to said user, said stimuli being perceivable by said user as sound; and B) a non-wearable device comprising b1) a processor, and b2) a power supply interface for providing power to the processor. The wearable device and the non-wearable device comprise respective transceiver circuitry for establishing a low latency wireless audio communication link between them. The processor of the non-wearable device comprises an audio processor configured to process said at least one electric input signal, or a signal originating therefrom, to at least partially compensate for the hearing impairment of the user and to provide said processed version thereof. The power supply interface of the non-wearable device is electrically connected to an electricity network. Thereby an improved processing power of a hearing aid may be provided. The invention may e.g. be used in flexible hearing aid systems with a situation-dependent configurable processing power.
Hearing aid for placement in a user's ear canal
A hearing aid for placement in an ear canal of a user, includes: a shell; a faceplate comprising an upper face, and a lower face, and a circumference, the upper face being exposed when the shell is placed in an ear of the user; a coil arranged at the faceplate; and a button arrangement comprising a plunger configured to control an integrated circuit arranged below the coil, the coil comprising one or more windings, the one or more windings being circumferential of an inner cavity of the coil with respect to a center or longitudinal axis of the coil, the button arrangement being configured such that the plunger in at least one position extends through the inner cavity of the coil for engaging the integrated circuit.
Canal hearing devices with sound port contaminant guards
A hearing device including a housing, a receiver within the housing, and a contaminant guard having a guard sound port and one or both of an outer contaminant receptacle, which is located outward of the guard sound port and that extends around the guard sound port, and an inner contaminant receptacle, which that is located on the central axis of the guard sound port and operably connected to a location outward of the guard sound port.
Quality factor in a contact hearing system
In one embodiment, the present invention is directed to a contact hearing system including: an ear tip including a transmit circuit having a first Q value, wherein the ear tip includes a transmit coil wound on a ferrite core; a contact hearing device including a receive circuit having a second Q value, wherein the first Q value is greater than the second Q value; a receive coil positioned on the contact hearing device, wherein the receive coil includes a core of a non-ferromagnetic material.
Radio frequency antenna for an in-the-ear hearing device
Disclosed herein, among other things, are systems and methods for a hearing device antenna. One aspect of the present subject matter includes a hearing device configured to be worn in an ear of a wearer to perform wireless communication. The hearing device includes a housing, hearing electronics within the housing, and an inverted F antenna or loop antenna disposed at least partially in the housing and configured for performing 2.4 GHz wireless communication. In various embodiments, at least a portion of the antenna protrudes from an exterior of the housing.
Hearing device
A hearing device has a housing in which a receiver is arranged as an electrical component. An antenna arrangement is formed, which has a winding in the form of a coil, which is arranged around the receiver with the interposition of a shielding foil. The shielding foil has a section extending around the receiver and several lugs adjoining it, which project beyond the receiver, the lugs enclosing between them an interspace adjoining the receiver. The shielding foil has in particular two layers, namely a magnetic layer and an electrical shielding layer. By this arrangement an antenna arrangement with high sensitivity is formed and at the same time a shielded partial area is created in the inter-space in which further components can be arranged. Due to the design of the lugs, which are particularly flexible, they can be attached to an inner wall of a housing.
Loop antenna for hearing aid
A hearing aid including a hearing aid antenna assembly, a transceiver, and an acoustic transducer is provided. The hearing aid assembly includes a resonant loop antenna, a coupling mechanism such as a primary loop, and an electrically conductive assembly. The resonant loop antenna forms an aperture that is arranged to be substantially parallel to a head of the wearer when the hearing aid is worn. The coupling mechanism is configured to transfer RF energy between the transceiver and the resonant loop antenna. The resonant loop antenna excites the electrically conductive assembly. The electrically conductive assembly includes a battery shield. The resonant loop antenna, the coupling mechanism, and/or the electrically conductive assembly are formed in one or more conductive layers of FPCB. The resonant loop antenna includes a course tuning capacitor in series with a fine tuning capacitor. The primary loop includes a resonating capacitor.
Battery Arrangement and Method of Assembling the Same
A battery arrangement for a hearing device may include a case for a battery, wherein the case comprises a case bottom and a case top configured as a lid for the case bottom, wherein a main chamber is defined within the case for receiving the battery, wherein a pre-chamber is defined within the case adjacent the main chamber, wherein one of a wiring and printed circuit board is electrically connected to the battery and led through the pre-chamber out of the case, wherein the pre-chamber is filled with a filling material.
