Hearing device
A holder extends from a part fixed to a housing and curves in substantially S-shape. A portion that extends from the housing and significantly curves for the first time serves as an ear-hanging part. The ear-hanging part is a portion that is hanged on an upper part of an auricle of a user. A portion that curves from the ear-hanging part so as to protrude toward a transmitting surface serves as a holding part. That is, the holding part is a portion that is formed at a position opposed to the transmitting surface and that is closest to the transmitting surface. A grasping part that can be curved, as needed, so as to be slightly distanced away from the transmitting surface is provided further toward the end from the holding part. The grasping part is a portion at which the user grasps the holder, the grasping part being so held allowing for easy attachment to and detachment from the auricle.
Sound output device and sound guiding device
A sound output device includes a sound generating portion that generates a sound, a sound guiding portion that takes in the sound generated in the sound generating portion from one end, and a holding portion that holds the sound guiding portion in the vicinity of the other end. The holding portion is engaged with an intertragic notch, and supports the sound guiding portion such that a sound output hole of the other end of the sound guiding portion to face a depth side of an ear canal. Even in a state where the listener wears the sound output device, the sound output device does not block an ear cavity of the listener, and the listener can listen to the ambient sound.
Transformable speech processor module for a hearing prosthesis
A method for operating an external component of a cochlear implant hearing system. The external component includes a speech processor module operable in a stand-alone mode of operation and a body-worn mode of operation, and a protective case. The method includes operating the speech processor module in the stand-alone mode, determining when the speech processor module is mounted in the case, and operating the speech processor module in the body-worn mode in response to determining that the speech processor module is mounted in the case.
Acoustic output device with antenna
A BTE prosthetic device for use in a medical system or prosthesis comprises a connector configured to mechanically attach an auxiliary device of the system to the BTE prosthetic device. The connector is electrically connected to a transceiver of the BTE prosthetic device. The connector operates as an electromagnetic antenna for transmitting and/or receiving signals between the BTE prosthetic and other components of the medical system.
COCHLEAR HEARING DEVICE WITH CABLE ANTENNA
A hearing aid device comprising a behind-the-ear part, an at-the-head part, a coupling element, a second antenna, and a wireless interface is disclosed. The behind-the-ear part is adapted for being arranged at an ear of a user and for providing a low frequency signal comprising audio. The at-the-head part is adapted for being arranged at the head of the user. The at-the-head part includes a first antenna adapted to communicate with an implant part comprising at least one cochlear electrode adapted for being arranged in the cochlea in proximity of an auditory nerve of the user. The coupling element couples the behind-the-ear part and the at-the-head part and is adapted for transmitting the low frequency signal comprising audio to the at-the-head part. The second antenna is adapted for communicating at high frequency with an external unit. The wireless interface is adapted for receiving and/or sending data via the second antenna. The at-the-head part is adapted for providing the low frequency signal comprising audio to the at least one cochlear electrode. The at least one cochlear electrode is adapted for converting the low frequency signal comprising audio to an output signal perceivable by a user as sound. The coupling element comprises an electrically conducting element coupled to the wireless interface. The electrically conducting element is at least a part of the second antenna and adapted for transferring the signal comprising audio at a low frequency from the behind-the-ear part to the at-the-head part and for transmitting and/or receiving high frequency signals via the second antenna.
BATTERY COATING FOR RECHARGABLE HEARING SYSTEMS
Embodiments of the invention include a method of preventing ferrite migration in a hearing aid including an antenna stack and a battery stack wherein the antenna stack sits on the battery stack, the method comprising the steps of: conformally coating the top and sides of the antenna stack using a conformal coating material; and separately coating all the surfaces of the battery stack using a separate material.
HEARING DEVICE
A hearing device comprising a behind-the-ear module and a tube element extending from the behind-the-ear module is disclosed. The behind-the-ear module comprises a signal processor for processing received audio signals into a signal modified to compensate for a user's hearing impairment, and an antenna configured for emission and reception of electromagnetic radiation at a first frequency. The hearing device further comprises at least one electrically conducting element, wherein a first section of the at least one electrically conducting element extends into the tube element, and at least one decoupling element, the at least one decoupling element being configured to electrically decouple the first section and the behind-the-ear module at the first frequency while maintaining an electrical connection between the first section and the behind-the-ear module at second frequencies.
External device of prosthesis connector
An external device of a prosthesis, including an electronics component, which can be a sound processor of a hearing prosthesis, and a power component, which can be a battery, the power component being removably attached to the electronics component, wherein the BTE device is configured with electrostatic discharge protection between the electronics component and the power component.
Speech Processor Cases
Apparatus and methods for converting one type of speech processor unit into another type of speech processor unit.
HEARING AID DEVICE WITH INTEGRATED ANTENNA
A hearing aid device configured to communicate wirelessly with an external device is disclosed. The hearing aid device comprises a housing with a microphone, an amplifier, where the hearing aid device comprises an antenna and either: a) a tube configured to deliver sound acoustically from a receiver in the housing to an ear mould or a dome or electrically to a receiver in an ear mould or a dome or b) a hook configured to deliver sound acoustically from a receiver in the housing to an ear mould or a dome. The antenna extends along at least a portion of the tube or the hook.
