In-ear radio frequency antenna
An apparatus may include a housing adapted for at least partial insertion into a concha bowl of a human ear, at least one speaker residing in or on the housing, a control system residing in or on the housing and a positioning element attached to the housing. The control system may be configured for controlling the speaker and configured for radio frequency (RF) communication. The positioning element may be configured to fit at least partially inside a concha of the human ear and may be configured to retain the housing at least partially within the concha bowl. The positioning element may include one or more wires Control System configured for communication with the control system. The one or more wires may be configured for at receiving and/or transmitting RF radiation. In some examples, the positioning element may be, or may include, a concha lock. The positioning element may include a loop antenna.
Earpiece
The present disclosure relates to an earpiece for an ear. The ear comprises a concha cavity at least partially delimited by a concha floor, a concha side wall and a concha ceiling. The earpiece comprises a peripheral skirt comprising a positioning skirt portion which in turn comprises an outer skirt surface and an inner skirt surface, wherein a transition from the outer skirt surface to the inner skirt surface occurs at a skirt edge. The skirt edge extends at least partially circumferentially around a central axis of the earpiece, wherein the earpiece is adapted to be moved to a use position, at least partially within the concha cavity, in a direction parallel to the central axis, during insertion of the earpiece into the ear. When the peripheral skirt is in a non-influenced condition, at least a portion of the inner skirt surface faces the central axis.
CONFORMABLE VENTED EARTIP
Conformable vented eartips are provided. A comfortable vented eartip includes an ear insertion end, an earphone insertion end opposite the ear insertion end, a base at the ear insertion end extending toward the earphone extension end, a central opening extending through the base to form an inner sound channel through the base, and at least one flange. The at least one flange includes a first flange end extending from the base at an angle away from the base and toward the earphone insertion end at a second flange end. The at least one flange includes at least one swept indent extending between the first flange end and the second flange end. The at least one swept indent sweeps laterally around a portion of a circumference of the at least one flange.

Ear Piece for a Hearing Device
An ear piece for a hearing device includes one of two, three four or more shapes, wherein the ear piece comprises a tube having a first bend separating two essentially straight sections of the tube which smoothly merge into one another at the first bend, wherein each section has a respective centerline, wherein the centerlines enclose an angle between them, wherein the angle is in a range of 41° to 58°, wherein the centerlines meet at an intersection point lying within an bend plane having a plane area confined by the tube, and wherein the bend plane bisects the angle with a tolerance range of 5% and/or is rotated within the tube about the intersection point so as to minimize the plane area.
Ear-mount able listening device with voice direction discovery for rotational correction of microphone array outputs
Techniques described herein include generating first audio signals representative of sounds emanating from an environment and captured with an array of microphones disposed within an ear-mountable listing device. A rotational position of the array of microphones is determined. A rotational correction is applied to the first audio signals to generate a second audio signal. The rotational correction is based at least in part upon the determined rotational position. A speaker of the ear-mountable listening device is driven with the second audio signal to output audio into an ear.
