DEVICE FOR DETECTING, MONITORING, AND CANCELLING GHOST ECHOES IN AN AUDIO SIGNAL
In some examples, devices for detecting and measures a ghost echo current in an audio signal are described. For instance, the device may be configured to sample a current of an audio signal, compare with an expected current, and determine an impulse response of the ghost echo current based on the sampled current and the expected current. The device may also be configured to reduce the ghost echo current using the impulse response.
ACOUSTIC MONITORING USING A SOUND MASKING EMITTER AS A SENSOR
Example embodiments may include one or more of receiving an electrical sound emission signal from a sound controller, interrupting reception of the electrical sound emission signal, by a sound emission interruption circuit connected to a sound emitter, and receiving an electrical ambient sound signal via a sound detection circuit, based on ambient sound sensed by the sound emitter when the reception of the electrical sound emission signal is interrupted by the sound emission interruption circuit.
TRANSIENT MULTI-TONE TEST SIGNAL AND METHOD FOR AUDIO SPEAKERS
A transient multi-tone test signal is generated to detect piano noise distortion played back by a speaker. The test signal has a number, such as three, formant tones resembling a piano chord and selectable such that the frequencies and harmonics remain distributed in frequency. The test signal provides a basis for defining normal speaker operating performance and allows a user to define speaker responses that fall outside of normal boundaries by highlighting piano noise distortion detected during speaker playback of the test signal.
Method and System for Adjusting Audio Signals by a Digital Signal Processor
The disclosure relates to a method and system for adjusting audio signals by a digital signal processor (DSP). The method comprises receiving an audio signal, adjusting the audio signal and transferring the adjusted audio signal to be output by one or more speakers. The method further comprises receiving sensor data indicative of an air environment around the one or more speakers and adjusting the audio signal based on the sensor data. The method and system may be employed in a vehicle.
Methods and system for controlling tactile content
An audio system presented herein includes a transducer array, sensor array, and a controller. The controller control tactile content imparted to a user via actuation of at least one transducer in the transducer array while presenting audio content to the user. The transducer array presents the audio content with the tactile content to the user. The audio system can be part of a headset.
Echo cancellation in online conference systems
An embodiment for cancelling echo in online conference systems is provided. According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the computer-implemented method comprises, in response to an update of devices of participants in an online conference, dividing, by one or more processors, the devices in an online conference into a plurality of groups, wherein the devices located in a same physical location are divided into a same group. The method also comprises, in response to an update of the devices in an online conference, selecting at least one speaker of the devices in each of the plurality of groups as a representative speaker for each of the plurality of groups. The method further comprises forwarding audio data received from microphones of the devices in one of the plurality of groups to the respective representative speaker of other groups of the plurality of groups.
SOUND SYSTEM
A sound system, for a user using a seat of an aircraft, an automobile, or the like, that reproduces sound inaudible to users around, without using earphones or headphones, is provided. A sound system for a user using a seat of an aircraft includes: a reproduction apparatus including an n-th reproduction unit (n = 1, ..., N) that outputs a (2n - 1)-th sound signal that is a sound signal obtained based on a subject to be reproduced, and a 2n-th sound signal that is a sound signal with opposite phase to phase of the (2n - 1)-th sound signal, N being an integer equal to or larger than one; and a speaker system including an n-th speaker unit pair (n = 1, ..., N) including a speaker unit that emits sound based on the (2n - 1)-th sound signal (hereinafter, referred to as the positive speaker unit) and a speaker unit that emits sound based on the 2n-th sound signal (hereinafter, referred to as the negative speaker unit), the speaker system being installed at a place close to a head of the user using the seat.
DISPLAY CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR CONTROLLING AUDIO/VIDEO AND DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to a technique for selectively reproducing multiple sounds for respective areas of a display through image analysis for each display area. A technique, for individually controlling multiple audio devices by analyzing an image to extract regions of the image and classifying sound types through data learning, can be provided.
Directional awareness audio communications system
Various embodiments include a directional awareness audio communication system and method. The system may include remote speaker/transmitting device(s) and listener/receiving device(s). The speaker/transmitting device(s) may send real-time location information with audio or separate from the audio to the listener/receiving device(s). The listener/receiving device(s) use the speaker/transmitting device(s) location information relative to the listener/receiving device location and orientation to perform audio processing on the transmitted audio signal. The listener/receiving device(s) provide the processed audio signal in stereo (i.e., at least two speakers such as left and right headphones, vehicle speakers, control center speakers, surround sound speakers, etc.) to a user of the listener/receiving device. The listener/receiving device(s) provides a warning and outputs standard audio if the real-time location information of the speaker/transmitting device(s) is unavailable or unreliable. In various embodiments, the listener device provides haptic and/or visual feedback of the speaker device location with respect to the listener device location.
Measuring speech intelligibility of an audio environment
An example method of operation may include initiating an automated tuning procedure, detecting via one or more microphones a sound measurement associated with an output of one or more speakers at two or more locations, determining a number of speech transmission index (STI) values equal to a number of microphones, and averaging the speech transmission index values to identify a single speech transmission index value.
