An audio speaker includes a frame or manifold supporting a plurality of drivers electrically connected to operate in common acoustic phase. The plurality of drivers includes an inner group of drivers and an outer group of drivers at least partially surrounding the inner group of drivers and the outer group of drivers includes at least two drivers with at least one the two drivers being a rearward facing driver.

SOUND PRODUCTION USING SPEAKER ENCLOSURE WITH REDUCED INTERNAL PRESSURE
20230171536 · 2023-06-01 ·

Techniques are provided for generating sound using a speaker mounted to an enclosure (e.g., speaker cabinet) wherein a gas pressure level (e.g., air pressure level) inside the enclosure is lower than an ambient air pressure level outside the enclosure. The reduced gas pressure level within the enclosure provides an environment with a reduced pressure level at a back side of a speaker cone of the speaker, which enhances a low frequency response for a given speaker size, while also minimizing resonant frequencies and phase cancellation issues which could otherwise occur with conventional speaker systems in which acoustic sound waves are generated at the back side of the speaker cone. A pressure compensation system is utilized counteract a force applied to the front side of the speaker cone as a result of the gas pressure level inside the enclosure being lower than the ambient air pressure level outside the enclosure.

Electrical speaker assembly

An electrical speaker assembly has a speaker element and two caps. The speaker element has two sides. The caps are attached respectively to the two sides of the speaker element, and each cap has a resonance space between the cap and a corresponding one of the sides of the speaker element, wherein one of the caps has a wire notch defined in the cap.

Bedside clock with device receiving well

A base unit is adapted to physically and electronically engage with an electronic device. The base unit includes a well within a top surface the base unit, which is sized and shaped to receive the electronic device in a close fitting relation. The base unit includes an internal chamber and access window that permits the electrical connection between the electronic device and the base unit while the electronic device is seated in the well using a connector wire. The internal chamber obscures the connector wire so that it cannot be readily, visibly seen from a top surface of the base unit. Connections established using insulated conductive wires enable power, data, and commands to be exchanged between the electronic unit and the base unit while concurrently preventing or impeding removal of the electronic device from the base unit. Alternative arrangements seat the electronic device within base unit and employ wireless connections therebetween.

Sound Generating Device on a Vehicle for Reducing or Generating Engine Sound and Exhaust System
20170303022 · 2017-10-19 ·

A sound generating device is provided on a vehicle to reduce or generate engine sound, and is used in particular for an exhaust system of a combustion engine of the vehicle. The sound generating device has a housing into which a loudspeaker is positioned to divide an inner space of the housing into two sub-spaces separated in a gas-tight manner. A seal rim provides the gas-tight sealing of the loudspeaker towards the housing. An abutment rim positions the loudspeaker in the inner space of the housing. The abutment rim and the seal rim are spaced apart from each other in a direction of a central axis of the loudspeaker. There is also described an exhaust system of a combustion engine of a vehicle with a sound generating device.

SPEAKER

A speaker is provided. The speaker includes a supporting shell, at least one first speaker monomer and a waxy material. The supporting shell includes at least one first sound port. The first speaker monomer is installed at the first sound port. The outer surface of the supporting shell is covered by the waxy material. Wherein an average thickness of the waxy material is more than or equal to an average thickness of the supporting shell.

DIE INSERT FOR MOLDING A SPEAKER GRILLE

An insert of a die for molding a speaker grille includes a forming member. The forming member defines a forming surface, from which a plurality of pins extend for forming apertures in a speaker grille. The forming surface defines a plurality of apertures disposed at spaced locations between the pins. The apertures are interconnected with a plurality vent channels communicating the apertures with the vent channels for venting air disposed in a die when melted polymer used to form the speaker grill is injected into the die. The forming member and the vent channels are formed as a monolithic construction.

Miniature speaker and speaker cabinet and hearing aid

A miniature speaker and speaker cabinet are provided, wherein the speaker is enclosed in an oblong capsule with a sound output opening at one end and leads passing from a speaker coil inside the capsule to connection points externally on the capsule, and where the cabinet encloses the capsule and at one end thereof comprise a lead input opening with leads passing there through to the connection points on the capsule, and where the cabinet further comprise a sound exit opening opposite the lead input opening, which is in fluid communication with the sound output opening of the capsule, wherein the cabinet has an internal space surpassing external measures of the capsule in all directions defining a gap between the capsule and cabinet wherein the thus defined gap is filled out with a hardening silicone.
