The audio acquisition device is configured to acquire the sound of a target object; the image acquisition device is configured to acquire an optical image including an acquisition object; the information processing device is configured to process the optical image to determine position information of the target object; and the angle control device is configured to receive the position information of the target object sent by the information processing device, and control the sound pick-up angle of the audio acquisition device according to the position information of the target object.
Selecting spatial locations for audio personalization
An audio system generates customized head-related transfer functions (HRTFs) for a user. The audio system receives an initial set of estimated HRTFs. The initial set of HRTFs may have been estimated using a trained machine learning and computer vision system and pictures of the user's ears. The audio system generates a set of test locations using the initial set of HRTFs. The audio system presents test sounds at each of the initial set of test locations using the initial set of HRTFs. The audio system monitors user responses to the test sounds. The audio system uses the monitored responses to generate a new set of estimated HRTFs and a new set of test locations. The process repeats until a threshold accuracy is achieved or until a set period of time expires. The audio system presents audio content to the user using the customized HRTFs.
Acoustic waveguide
An acoustic waveguide in accordance with one or more embodiments of the present technology that comprises a housing having a proximal end with an inlet aperture and a distal end with an outlet aperture, and a mounting flange positioned at the proximal end and configured to acoustically couple a driver to inlet aperture. A plurality of sound channels extend through the housing and acoustically couple the inlet aperture to the outlet aperture. Each sound channel at least partially defining a sound path has an acoustic length, wherein at least one of the sound paths of the plurality of sound channels has a bend angle that exceeds 180 degrees.
SOUND DETECTION DEVICE
The sound detection device comprises a substrate, an array of sound detectors in or on a surface of the substrate, a processing circuit coupled to the sound detectors, the processing circuit being configured to sum signals from the sound detectors with relative time delays or phase shifts that compensate for propagation delay of sound along the array in a sound propagation mode that is bound to said surface. In an embodiment the sound in said sound propagation mode is bound to the surface using an acoustic waveguide, wherein the surface of the substrate forms a part of the acoustic waveguide, the sound detection device comprising a wall facing the array of sound detectors, with a space between the surface of the substrate and the wall, the sound detection device comprising an opening that provides incoming sound from outside the device access to said space, for excitation of the wave in the bound propagation mode in the acoustic waveguide by sound from outside the device.
Systems, devices, and methods of manipulating audio data based on display orientation
An electronic device includes sensors configured to detect an orientation of a display, driver logic, and a speaker array. The driver logic processes the audio data received by an interface to form audio output data, and forms driver signals representing the audio output data based on the orientation of the display detected by the one or more sensors. The speaker array receives the driver signals formed orientation of the display, and renders the audio output data for playback based on the driver signals.

Calibrating an audio system using a user's auditory steady state response
An audio system is described for calibrating one or more transducers for a user using the auditory steady state response (ASSR) of the user. The audio system presents an audio calibration signal to the user via a transducer array in the headset. The system measures electrical signals that are generated in the auditory cortex of the brain of the user in response to the presented audio calibration signal. The audio system determines an ASSR of the user based on the measured electrical signals. The audio system determines a value for one or more sound filter parameter based on the determined ASSR and a model. The audio system calibrates the transducer array using the determined sound filter parameters. The calibrated transducer array is used to present audio content to the user.
Spatial headphone transparency
Digital audio signal processing techniques used to provide an acoustic transparency function in a pair of headphones. A number of transparency filters can be computed at once, using optimization techniques or using a closed form solution, that are based on multiple re-seatings of the headphones and that are as a result robust for a population of wearers. In another embodiment, a transparency hearing filter of a headphone is computed by an adaptive system that takes into consideration the changing acoustic to electrical path between an earpiece speaker and an interior microphone of that headphone while worn by a user. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
Audio Generation in a Media Playback System
Example techniques relate to audio generation in a media playback system. Based on one or more first functions and first characteristics of an area, the system may generate first audio that includes a first audio signal and a second audio signal. The system provides the first audio signal to at least one first audio driver and the second audio signal to at least one second audio driver, thereby causing a first playback device and a second playback device to play back the first audio synchronously. The system receives second characteristics of the area and based on one or more second functions and the second characteristics, generates second audio comprising a third audio signal and a fourth audio signal. The system provides the third audio signal to the at least one first audio driver and the fourth audio signal to the at least one second audio driver.
