EXTERNAL DEVICE OF PROSTHESIS CONNECTOR
An external device of a prosthesis, including an electronics component, which can be a sound processor of a hearing prosthesis, and a power component, which can be a battery, the power component being removably attached to the electronics component, wherein the BTE device is configured with electrostatic discharge protection between the electronics component and the power component.
Cable Backbone For Receiver
An audio device is provided, such as a receiver-in-canal hearing aid, which includes an in-the-ear component, a behind-the-ear component, and a cable connecting the in-the-ear component and the behind-the-ear component. The cable includes a reinforcing backbone having a bulbous end portion anchored to one of the in-the-ear component and the behind-the-ear component. The bulbous end portion includes fibers that have been splayed apart which provides larger surface area for adhesively bonding the bulbous end portion to the in-the ear component or the behind-the-ear component. In one form, the reinforcing backbone includes ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene.
Hearing assistance devices and user interfaces for use with same
A hearing assistance device including a housing, a user manipulatable control element, and a printed circuit board having a flexible substrate, sound processor circuitry on the flexible substrate, and a variable resistor that is an integral part of the printed circuit board and/or is secured to the housing.
Coupling apparatuses for transcutaneous bone conduction devices
Presented herein are non-surgical or superficial coupling apparatuses for transcutaneous bone conduction devices. A coupling apparatus comprises a drive plate configured to be detachably connected to a transcutaneous bone conduction device. The drive plate is also connected to an earhook (ear hook) configured to fit over/around a recipient's pinna (auricle) to at least partially support the drive plate. An adhesive member may also be provided to secure the drive plate to the recipient's skin.
Sweat proof earphones
The present invention provides a device for removing sweat from the inner ear by creating a vacuum in connecting tubing between the inner ear and a converging-diverging nozzle. When air enters the front of the converging-diverging nozzle, its velocity accelerates as it flows through the smaller cross-sectional area in the middle section, which causes a drop in pressure in the middle section and a resulting vacuum in the connecting tubing. This vacuum draws sweat from the bottom of the inner ear toward the middle of the converging-diverging nozzle, where it drips out of either end, resulting in sweat being removed from the inner ear.
HEARING DEVICE ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure relates to a hearing device assembly comprising a behind-the-ear base unit and an in-the-ear transducer module, which communicate via a single wire interface and wherein the base unit is configured to take on a communication role in response to a signal asserted by the transducer module.
HEARING ASSISTANCE DEVICE
A hearing assistance device, including a housing, a receiver, and a cable, is provided. The housing has an ear hook and a first contour arc. The cable faces the ear hook, penetrates the housing, and connects to a receiver.
HEARING DEVICE CABLE
A hearing device cable including a body portion is described herein. The body portion may extend between a first end region and a second end region along a tube centerline. The body portion may include a first radial portion proximate the first end region and second radial portion proximate the second end region. The first radial portion may define a radius of curvature that is greater than or equal to a radius of curvature defined by the second radial portion. The tube centerline may lie along an x-y plane between the first and second end regions. In one or more embodiments, the body portion may define a passageway extending between the first and second end regions. Further, the hearing device cable may include a superelastic wire within the passageway extending between the first and second end regions.
MODULAR HEARING INSTRUMENT COMPRISING ELECTRO-ACOUSTIC CALIBRATION PARAMETERS
A hearing instrument includes: a first portion shaped and sized for placement at a pinna of a user's ear; and a second portion having an earpiece for placement in the user's ear canal; wherein the second portion also comprises a connector assembly configured for electrically coupling to the first portion, the connector assembly having a plurality of connector wires, the plurality of connector wires comprising a first connector wire; wherein the second portion also comprises a receiver or miniature loudspeaker for receipt of an audio drive signal through at least the first connector wire; and wherein the second portion also comprises a non-volatile memory circuit having a data interface configured for receipt and transmittal of module data, the non-volatile memory circuit configured to store the module data, wherein the stored module data at least comprises electroacoustic calibration parameter(s) of the receiver or the miniature loudspeaker.
Closing assembly for an in the ear part of a hearing device
The present disclosure relates to an in-the-ear part having a closing assembly. The in-the-ear part configured to be attached to a hearing device. The in-the-ear part having a cavity for holding an output transducer and the in-the-ear part having an opening and the closing assembly being configured to fit into the opening. An insert part having an inset part opening for receiving and mounting a connecting member is also mounted to the in-the-ear part, the connecting member configured for mechanically coupling the in the ear part to a behind the ear part of the hearing device. A cover part is further provided, which comprises a recess for receiving and mounting the insert part to the in-the-ear part.
