HEARING AID WITH SPEAKER UNIT ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure relates to a hearing aid and detachable speaker unit assembly. The detachable speaker unit assembly comprises a fastening structure to provide an enhanced removal force and stable insertion into the ear canal of the user.
HEARING ASSISTANCE DEVICE WITH MULTIPURPOSE MICROPHONE
Disclosed herein, among other things, are apparatus and methods for a multipurpose microphone for hearing devices. A hearing assistance device includes a first housing configured to be worn above an ear of a wearer and a second housing configured to be worn in the ear of the wearer. The device also includes a cable configured to connect to the first housing at a first end and to the second housing at the second end, and a microphone at the second end of the cable, the microphone including an input port facing an acoustic channel. A switch is provided in the acoustic channel, the switch having a first position such that acoustic input to the microphone is received from an inner portion of the ear of the wearer, and a second position such that acoustic input to the microphone is received from an area outside the ear of the wearer.
SOUND CAPTURE SYSTEM DEGRADATION IDENTIFICATION
A method, including an action of receiving first data based on data based on ambient sound captured with a first microphone, and further including an action of receiving second data based on data based on the ambient sound captured with a second microphone, wherein the first microphone is a part of a hearing prosthesis, the second microphone is part of an indoor sound capture system or indoor sound capture sub-system, and the method further comprises comparing the first data to the second data.
Receiver housing with integrated sensors for hearing device
A hearing device and subassembly therefor includes a sleeve member configured for at least partial insertion into a user's ear canal, the sleeve member defining a cavity that receives and retains at least a portion of a sound-producing electroacoustic transducer. The sleeve member includes a cable interface, wherein an electrical interface of a sound-producing electroacoustic transducer received in the cavity is accessible via the cable interface. The device also includes on or more sensors integrated with the sleeve member and positioned to sense a biomarker or other condition when the sleeve member is at least partially inserted into the user's ear canal. The hearing device includes conductive traces integrated with the sleeve member, where at least one conductive trace is electrically connected to the sensor and electrically connectable via the cable interface.
Methods and systems for assessing insertion position of hearing instrument
A speaker of a hearing instrument generates a sound that includes a range of frequencies. Furthermore, a microphone of the hearing instrument measures an acoustic response to the sound. A processing system classifies, based on the acoustic response to the sound, a depth of insertion of an in-ear assembly of the hearing instrument into an ear canal of a user. Additionally, the processing system generates an indication based on the depth of insertion of the in-ear assembly of the hearing instrument into the ear canal of the user.
HEARING DEVICE
A hearing device, in particular an in-the-ear hearing device, has a housing shell which encloses an electronics chamber like a cup. A cover plate is connected to the housing shell to terminate the electronics chamber. An electronics frame protrudes from the cover plate into the electronics chamber and by which an electric and/or an electronic component of the hearing device is reversibly mounted at least in directions parallel to the cover plate. At least one frame lock is reversibly coupled to the electronics frame, by which the electrical and/or electronic component is fixed on the electronics frame in a direction perpendicular to the cover plate.
Wax protection for in-canal hearing device
A hearing aid assembly includes a receiver speaker enclosed within a receiver housing. The receiver housing defines a circuitous receiver acoustic channel, wherein the receiver channel defines an open side along at least a portion of the receiver channel. The receiver channel also defines a pass-through passage extending from a first side of the receiver housing to a second side of the receiver housing, wherein the pass-through passage is partially defined by the wall defining a receiver opening. The hearing aid assembly also includes an earbud configured to fit over at least a portion of the receiver housing and partially cover the open side of the receiver channel.
MODULATION IN A CONTACT HEARING SYSTEM
In one embodiment, the present invention is directed to a contact hearing system comprising: an ear tip including a transmit coil, wherein the transmit coil is connected to an audio processor, including an H Bridge circuit; a first input to the H Bridge circuit comprising an AND circuit wherein a first input to the AND circuit comprises a carrier signal and a second input to the AND circuit comprises an output of a delta sigma modulation circuit, wherein the delta sigma modulation circuit is a component of the audio processor; and a second input to the H Bridge circuit comprising an NAND circuit wherein a first input to the NAND circuit comprises a carrier signal and a second input to the NAND circuit comprises an output of the delta sigma modulation circuit.
Hearing device plug connector and hearing device
A hearing device plug connector may include a first connector component and a second connector component, wherein the hearing device plug connector includes a latching mechanism for securing the first connector component and the second connector component against unintended disconnection, wherein the latching mechanism includes a catch and a complementary latch component which are in latching engagement when the first connector component and the second connector component are connected, wherein the catch is moveable against a spring force from a latching position into a release position when connecting or disconnecting the first connector component and the second connector component, and wherein in the latching position the catch can engage with the complementary latch component and in the release position the catch can disengage from the complementary latch component. The hearing device plug connector may further include a sealing element for providing a seal between the first and second connector components.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE REQUIRED OR IDEAL LENGTH OF A CABLE IN A HEARING AID
The use of the correct, required length of a cable in a hearing aid substantially contributes to the wearing comfort of the hearing aid. At least one ear depiction of an ear is created by a camera. An associated ear geometry is determined on the basis of the ear depiction. The required length of the cable for the hearing aid can in turn be determined by use of the ear geometry.
