Multi-interface transponder device—altering power modes
Methods for performing power management of a multi-interface transponder (MIT) device, e.g., such as positional tag device. The MIT device may transition between various power states, e.g., based on detected events, such as detecting movement of the MIT device, receiving a wakeup signal, receiving an indication of a transition in transportation mode, and/or detecting that the MIT device may be lost, such as based on a lack of contact with another device for more than a threshold period of time.
LOCATION-BASED SEARCH MECHANISM IN A GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE
A social media platform provides a map-based graphical user interface (GUI) for accessing social media content submitted for public accessibility via the social media platform supported by the map-based GUI. The GUI includes a map providing interactive location-based searching functionality in that selection of a target location by the user in the GUI, such as by tapping or clicking at the target location, triggers a search for social media content having geo-tag data indicating geographic locations within a geographical search area centered on the target location.
Systems and methods for automatically training neural networks
A method for automatically training a neural network includes at a trainer having a first communication device and a perception recorder, continuously recording the surroundings in the vicinity of the first object; receiving, at the trainer, a message from a communication device associated with an object in the vicinity of the trainer, the message including information about the position and the type of the object; identifying a recording corresponding to the time at which the message is received from the object; correlating the received positional information about the second object with a corresponding location in the recording to identify the object in the recording; classifying the identified object based on the type of information received in the message from the object; and using the classified recording to train the neural network.
LOW-LATENCY DELIVERY MECHANISM FOR MAP-BASED GUI
A server system for a map-based social media platform maintains user location information to enable the rendering of friend icons on a map at a corresponding display locations. The system maintains a per user access control list (ACL) that lists all users whose icons can be viewed by a requesting user. The ACL can include a designation of respective display granularity levels for different friend users.
Geo-fence authorization provisioning
A system includes a communication module that receives a request to post content to an event gallery associated with an event. The request in turn includes geo-location data for a device sending the content, and identification data identifying the device or a user of the device. The system further has an event gallery module to perform a first authorization operation that includes determining that the geo-location data corresponds to a geo-location fence associated with an event. The event gallery module also performs a second authorization operation that includes using the identification data to verify an attribute of the user. Finally, based on the first and second authorization operations, the event gallery module may selectively authorize the device to post the content to the event gallery.
Tracking Device Operation in Safety-Classified Zone
Tracking devices can be associated with safe zones, smart zones, and high risk zones. Safe zones correspond to regions where a likelihood that a tracking device is lost within the safe zone is lower than outside the safe zone. High risk zones correspond to regions where a likelihood that a tracking device is lost within the high risk zone is higher than outside the high risk zone. Smart zones correspond to an expected tracking device, mobile device, or user behavior. Home areas are geographic regions in which a user resides, and travel areas are geographic regions in which a user does not reside. A tracking device can be configured to operate in a mode selected based on a presence of the tracking device within a safe zone, a smart zone, a high risk zone, a home area, or a travel area.
CATCHMENT MODELING
Examples provide catchment modeling for identifying destination locations eligible for last mile delivery from source locations, such as a store or fulfillment center. The catchment modeling system divides a catchment area associated with the source location into a plurality of geohash blocks within a polygon fence. The size of the geohash blocks varies relative to proximity of each geohash block to a fence point within a polygon fence. The plurality of blocks includes a set of inclusion blocks within the predetermined distance from the source location and/or a set of exclusion blocks exceeding the predetermined distance from the source location. Data compression via polygon merging is performed. The compressed data is cached for utilization during catchment delivery eligibility determinations. If a destination address is within the set of inclusion address or absent from the set of exclusion addresses, the destination is eligible for delivery from the source to the destination.
Augmented reality displays for locating vehicles
Augmented reality displays for locating vehicles are disclosed herein. An example method includes determining a current location of a mobile device associated with a user, determining a current location of a vehicle, and generating augmented reality view data that includes a first arrow that identifies a path of travel for the ridehail user towards the vehicle. The path of travel is based on the current location of the mobile device and the current location of the vehicle. The first arrow is combined with a view obtained by a camera of the mobile device or a view obtained by a camera of the vehicle.
LOCATION-BASED TIMELINE MEDIA CONTENT SYSTEM
Systems and methods for receiving a set of media content items including a geohash defining a captured time and a captured location of the media content item, identifying a first subset of media content items from the set of media content items comprising a geohash that equals a precision level threshold, and identifying a second subset of media content items from the set of media content items that include a geohash that exceeds the precision level threshold. The system also includes generating a timeline media content item collection including the second subset of media content items each including a geohash that exceeds the precisions level threshold, and causing display of a media content collection interface, the media content collection interface including the timeline media content item collection.
Proximity positioning
Software for proximity positioning that performs the following operations: (i) receiving at least one parameter via an advertising channel of a first protocol, wherein the at least one parameter is encoded in an advertising packet of the first protocol, and wherein the first protocol supports a first proximity positioning technology; (ii) extracting the encoded at least one parameter from the advertising packet; and (iii) performing, by a second proximity positioning technology different from the first proximity positioning technology, a measurement of distance based, at least in part, on the at least one parameter.
