A system and method for interaction monitoring in a retail environment that includes executing a first monitoring system and thereby generating a first evaluation of customer selection of items; executing a second monitoring system and thereby generating a second evaluation of customer selection of items; determining monitoring alignment between the first evaluation and the second evaluation of a first customer; and triggering an action in response to the monitoring alignment.

Internet of Things blockchain auditing

Disclosed are various examples of utilizing blockchain for tracking and auditing of systems and processes that involve Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices. A command to install an IoT event definition that defines an IoT event for a specified asset type is transmitted. IoT event data that indicates an IoT event has been triggered based on the IoT event definition is received. An IoT event block is recorded to a blockchain, the IoT event block comprising sensor data and an indication that at least one IoT device triggered the IoT event.

System and method for facilitating seamless commerce

Customers are identified as they enter a store and linked to one or more items previously ordered on-line. A route through the store to retrieve the ordered items is generated and sent to the customer's mobile device for display. The customer's movements are tracked as he/she goes through the store to retrieve products, and the location of the customer determined whenever he/she selects a product from the shelves. Based on whether the locations of the customer when he/she selected the products matches the predefined locations of the items ordered on-line, the customer is directed to go to one of an audit station or checkout lane, or alternatively, to bypass both audit station and the checkout lane and exit the store. In the latter case, the customer's account is automatically charged for the total cost of the ordered items.

Waking payment readers using point-of-sale (POS) devices

Techniques described herein are directed to, among other things, wireless payment readers configured to transition between multiple different power states. In some instances, these power states include one or more relatively low-power states such that an overall battery life of the wireless payment readers are lengthened. Further, in some instances, a point-of-sale (POS) application operating on a POS device that wirelessly couples to an example wireless payment reader may cause the wireless payment reader to transition from one state to another, such as from a first, lower-power state to a second, higher-power state in response to the POS application determining that a payment is to be processed using the wireless payment reader.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING AND EXECUTING TRUSTED USER ACCESS

Systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided herein for user access to smart locks at a retail shopping facility. In one embodiment, a system for user access to smart locks at a retail shopping facility includes an access member, a smart lock securing the access member, and a control circuit. The control circuit configured to receive authentication data from the user interface device; determine whether the authentication data matches within a threshold of stored authentication data associated with a profile stored in a database; determine that the user is a trusted user based on the determination that the authentication data matches with the stored authentication data within the threshold; and provide an optical key to the user interface device, wherein the smart lock is configured to unlock the access member in response to receiving the optical key from the user interface device.
