Cross-resource subscription for M2M service layer
A subscriber issues a message to a resource host to request subscription to multiple resources. This message may indicate identifiers of these resources, event notification criteria for each individual resource and define cross-resource notification criteria such as time window type and time window size. The resource host issues cross-resource notifications to the subscriber or its designated notification targets when expected changes on the target resources occur within a time window.
Method for controlling display of SIM card function menu and storage device for the same
The present disclosure provides a method of controlling a display of a SIM card function menu, the method including: determining whether a preset command corresponding to a corresponding preset function is received from the SIM card; and uninstalling a default function module corresponding to the preset function, in response to no preset command corresponding to the preset function being received from the SIM card. The present disclosure further provides a device having a storage function and a terminal.
SELECTION OF A SUBSCRIPTION AT A DEVICE
A communication device may be configured to access a plurality of subscriptions for a plurality of providers. For example, a communication device may be configured with at least one subscriber identity module (SIM). For a communication device having a plurality of subscriptions accessible thereto, the selection of a subscription to connect to a destination network may be configurable. The selection of a subscription from a plurality of available subscriptions may be based on a cost (e.g., financial cost, data cost, or another resource) associated with connecting to a destination network using different subscriptions. For example, a first subscription may be selected if connection to the destination network is more expensive using a second subscription and/or if the balance on the second subscription is too low.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SELECTING SIM CARD
The present invention discloses methods and systems for selecting at least one SIM card for data communication at a wireless communication device which is capable of housing a plurality of SIM cards. When a switching condition is satisfied, the wireless communication device selects a second SIM card group, and disconnects one or more connections established using any non-second group SIM card. Non-second group SIM cards are SIM cards that are not in the second SIM card group. A selected SIM card from the second SIM card group is then used for data communications. The steps are repeated until (i) the switching condition is no longer satisfied, (ii) no more SIM cards selected from the second SIM card group can be used for data communications or (iii) no more connection is made using non-second group SIM cards
DETECTION OF A DELINQUENT MOBILE DEVICE
A method and system of detecting a delinquent mobile user device. An international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) of a subscriber identity module (SIM) card of the user device is determined by the user device. The IMSI is sent to a Remote Recovery Server (RRS). A message is received from the RRS as to whether the IMSI is authorized for the user device. Upon determining that the IMSI is not authorized for the user device, a notification is displayed on a display of the user device.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ACCESSING CELLULAR NETWORK FOR SIM PROFILE
The present disclosure relates to a communication technique that combines a 5G communication system for supporting a data rate that is higher than that of a beyond 4G system with IoT technology, and a system thereof. The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services on the basis of 5G communication technology and IoT related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail, security and safety related services. Disclosed is a method for causing a cellular network itself to receive provisioning of a SIM profile to make it possible to use a normal cellular network service.
Apparatus and method for providing operator specific service
Convergence of a 5.sup.th-Generation communication system supporting higher data rates beyond 4.sup.th-Generation system(s) with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT) may be applied to intelligent services. Operator specific services are permitted and provided by allowing an unauthorized terminal to search for and access the such services, and includes notifying a terminal of information corresponding to “operator specific services” by allowing a base station to broadcast predetermined information, displaying information acquired by a terminal, matching information acquired by the terminal with information broadcast from a base station to arrange services, requesting access and notifying a terminal performs an access for “operator specific services” upon accessing a network, providing a menu for determining whether neighboring base stations are capable of “operator specific services” to a user of a terminal, and allowing the terminal to determine whether there is the base station broadcasting the information.
COMMUNICATION OF USER TERMINAL HAVING MULTIPLE SUBSCRIPTION IDENTITIES
Apparatuses and methods in a communication system are provided. A first radio resource connection, RRC, with a Radio Access Network, RAN, node is established (502) by a device, the connection having a first Radio Network Temporary Identifier and being associated with a first subscription identity. An RRC setup procedure for establishing a second RRC is performed (504), the connection being associated with a second subscription identity. During or after the RRC setup it is indicated to the RAN node that the device has an existing radio resource connection with the node. A second Radio Network Temporary Identifier associated with the second radio resource connection and an additional Radio Network Temporary Identifier common to the first and second radio resource connections are received (506) and the common Identifier is used (508) for communication with the RAN node.
DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD, MULTI-FUNCTION CARD, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
Embodiments of this application provide a data transmission method, a multi-function card, and an electronic device. The multi-function card may work as a SIM card or a memory card by using electrical contacts through time division multiplexing. Data is transmitted between the multi-function card and a processor in the electronic device, so that a function of subscriber identity identification can be implemented, and a storage capacity of the electronic device can be expanded. Storage space expanded in the electronic device may be used to store a picture, audio, a video, and an application program. The data transmission method and the multi-function card provided in embodiments of this application may be used to save physical space in the electronic device. This is conducive to lightening and thinning of the electronic device.
FACILITATION OF SECURITY FOR ELECTRONIC SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY MODULE FOR 5G OR OTHER NEXT GENERATION NETWORK
Electronic subscriber identity modules (eSIM) can be more susceptible to hackers and more vulnerable than physical subscriber identity modules. The current disclosure discusses systems and methods to facilitate eSIM security by utilizing a management software application (MSA) hosted on a mobile device. This MSA can cross-reference eSIM registration data with mobile device signature data to determine if the correct user identity is associated with mobile device prior to an eSIM being issued to the mobile device. Additionally, various degrees of data flagging can be utilized to allow an end user to properly address an indication of mobile device vulnerability.
