LAND MOBILE RADIO AND MISSION CRITICAL PUSH TO TALK INTERWORKING
The disclosed technology is generally directed towards, for interworking function interworking group call services, configuring each of the interworking groups with a separate group home server, with the servers coupled to one another via an interworking function. The interworking function receives a floor taken message from one server, and, in response, obtains a floor grant from the other server, which facilitates communication from a device to which the floor was granted to other devices, including devices associated with the other server. If the interworking function receives colliding floor taken messages from both servers, the interworking function performs mediation to determine which server/user has a higher priority level. The interworking function acknowledges the floor taken message to the higher priority server, and sends a floor request (with high priority) message to the other server, which triggers a floor revoke message to a device on the lower priority side.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ADJUSTING SUBSCRIBER POLICY
A policy adjustment system changes a quality of service attribute for a user device without affecting the policy applied to the user device. The policy adjustment system applies a policy to a plurality of user devices, the policy defining one or more quality of service attributes. The policy adjustment system receives an indication that a quality of service attribute should be changed for a user device. The policy adjustment system changes the quality of service attribute for the user device without affecting the quality of service attributes for the other user devices for which the policy is applied.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR UPDATING LOCATION-BASED GROUP IN V2X NETWORK
A system and method for updating location-based group in network by location management server are provided. The method includes receiving a location area monitoring subscription request from vertical application layer (VAL) server to subscribe for notification for at least one vehicle-to-everything (V2X) user equipment (UE) moving in or moving out of a specific location area associated with a group, sending a location area monitoring subscription response to the VAL server in response to successful authorization of the VAL server, detecting at least one V2X UE moving in or moving out of the specific location area associated with the group based on the subscription, and sending a location area monitoring notification to the VAL server including the triggering event and information about the at least one V2X UE moving in or moving out of specific location area associated with group.
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A wireless communication device includes a wireless communication unit receiving a signal, and a controlling unit determining parameters relating an offset of an active interval during which signals can be received in accordance with identification information of a group.
Systems and methods for cell (re)selection and cell barring
A user equipment (UE) includes one or more non-transitory computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon, at least one processor coupled to the one or more non-transitory computer-readable media, and configured to execute the computer-executable instructions to: determine, before selecting a cell, whether the cell is non-campable for the UE based on barred cell (cellBarred) status information received through system information from the cell, the cell connected to a first core network and not connected to a second core network; and perform cell selection of another cell after it is determined that the cell is non-campable for the UE based on the cellBarred status information; wherein the cellBarred status information comprises information regarding the first core network and information regarding a plurality of Public Land Mobile Networks (PLMNs) operating the first core network.
Feature management of a communication device
A system and method for the real-time management of a device, and more particularly to the establishment and enforcement of policies or rules associated with the feature or functions that may be performed with the device, such as making and receiving calls, exchanging data, playing games and music, sending and receiving email, accessing web sites, and paying for goods and services. If a child or employee is using the device, there may be a need to regulate how that device can be used and to determine who will pay for what goods or services. In addition to providing all of the features associated with a device, service providers need to be able to establish and enforce rules (policies) regulating how and when that device can be used and who will pay for a good or service requested by the user of the device.
Enhanced curfew and protection associated with a device group
A method comprising obtaining, from a master user, a device usage allocation applicable to two or more devices, the two or more devices being associated with another user, the another user being different from the master user, obtaining an aggregate measure of device usage associated with the two or more devices, if the aggregate measure of device usage associated with the two or more devices satisfies a condition relative to the device usage allocation, managing an activity of the two or more devices, and sending a notification to at least one of the two or more devices, the notification for presentation to the another user through a user interface of the at least one of the two or more devices.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR UAV AND UAV CONTROLLER GROUP MEMBERSHIP UPDATE
In the method, an unmanned aerial system application enabler (UAE) server can determine that a first UAV (UAV-1) is to be replaced with a second UAV (UAV-2) based on a received request. The UAV-2 is recognized by the UAE server based on a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) level identity (ID) of the UAV-2. A request to perform a group membership update is sent by the UAE server to a SEAL group management (GM) server. The group membership update replaces the UAV-1 with the UAV-2. A response message is received by the UAE server from the SEAL GM server. The request to perform the group membership update includes (i) an ID of an UAE client that corresponds to the group of the UAV-1 and the UAV-C, (ii) a user equipment (UE) ID of the UAV-1, (iii) a UE ID of the UAV-2, and (iv) the CAA-level ID of the UAV-2.
ESIM profile discovery
Mobile devices are provisioned that do not have a direct communications path to a data network. A proximate device is discovered that is available for connecting to the mobile device via a peer-to-peer connection. The proximate device is determined to be trusted by the mobile device and usable to communicate to the data network A peer-to-peer connection is established with the proximate device. Identification data is provided to the proximate device, and an activation code is received. The mobile device communicates to the mobile network operator indicated by the activation code. Subscription credentials are received for accessing a mobile network operated by the mobile network operator.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING PEER-TO-PEER WIRELESS GROUPS FOR VEHICULAR MICRO CLOUDS
Describe are systems and methods for implementing a peer-to-peer (P2P) wireless group acting as a vehicular micro cloud. In one example, a system includes a processor and a memory in communication with the processor having a group coordination service module. The group coordination service module has instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to select a vehicle out of a plurality of vehicles to act as a group owner of a P2P wireless group operating as a vehicular micro cloud based on vehicle status information from the plurality of vehicles and transmit group configurations of the first P2P wireless group to the plurality of vehicles to allow the plurality of vehicles to join the first P2P wireless group. The selection of the vehicle may be based on how long the vehicle is predicted to be a member of the vehicular micro cloud.
