METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR TRANSFERRING SIM CARD INFORMATION

The present invention discloses methods and systems for transferring SIM card information from a first device to a server. A first SIM card is housed in the first device or in a first modem connected to the first device. When the first device boots up, it identifies the first SIM card and retrieves SIM card information from the first SIM card. The first device then sends authentication information to the first server and requests historical SIM card activity information. Historical SIM card activity information received from the first server is stored in a storage medium, and is used for determining whether to use the first SIM card. The first server performs steps of receiving a first request message from the first device, and determining the SIM card identity specified in the first request message if the first request message is authentic. The first server retrieves and sends historical SIM card activity information of the first SIM card to the first device.

Applying network policies on a per-user basis

In one example, an Access Point (AP) configures a first mapping of a first cellular network connection to a first local access network group, and further configures a second mapping of a second cellular network connection to a second local access network group. The AP determines whether a user device is authorized to use the first cellular network connection or the second cellular network connection. If the user device is authorized to use the first cellular network connection, the AP associates, for the user device, a first user device identifier with the first local access network group. If the user device is authorized to use the second cellular network connection, the AP associates, for the user device, a second user device identifier with the second local access network group.

Position of a channel occupancy time parameter in a downlink control channel

A wireless device receives configuration parameters indicating: a plurality of a channel occupancy time (COT) parameters of a COT of a cell; and a position parameter for the COT of the cell. A downlink control information (DCI) comprising a plurality of fields is received. The position parameter indicates a position of a field, of the plurality of fields. The field indicates a COT parameter, of the plurality of COT parameters. A transport block is transmitted via uplink resources of the COT with the COT parameter.

Apparatus and method for providing operator specific service

Convergence of a 5.sup.th-Generation communication system supporting higher data rates beyond 4.sup.th-Generation system(s) with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT) may be applied to intelligent services. Operator specific services are permitted and provided by allowing an unauthorized terminal to search for and access the such services, and includes notifying a terminal of information corresponding to “operator specific services” by allowing a base station to broadcast predetermined information, displaying information acquired by a terminal, matching information acquired by the terminal with information broadcast from a base station to arrange services, requesting access and notifying a terminal performs an access for “operator specific services” upon accessing a network, providing a menu for determining whether neighboring base stations are capable of “operator specific services” to a user of a terminal, and allowing the terminal to determine whether there is the base station broadcasting the information.

CROSS-DEVICE HANDOFFS

A first computing device may receive an indication of user input that is at least a part of a conversation between a user and a first assistant executing at the first computing device. The first assistant and/or an assistant executing at a digital assistant system may determine whether to handoff the conversation from the first assistant executing at the first computing device to a second assistant executing at a second computing device. In response to determining to handoff the conversation to the second assistant executing at the second computing device, the first assistant and/or the assistant executing at the digital assistant system may send to the second computing device a request to handoff the conversation which includes at least an indication of the conversation.

ORDERING AND CREATING A SUBSCRIPTION PROFILE FOR A SUBSCRIBER ENTITY

There is provided mechanisms for creating a subscription profile for a subscriber entity. A method is performed by a subscription provisioning server. The method comprises obtaining, from the subscriber entity, a request for download of the subscription profile. The request comprises capability information of the subscriber entity. The method comprises creating the subscription profile based on the capability information as obtained from the subscriber entity.

DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD, MULTI-FUNCTION CARD, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE

Embodiments of this application provide a data transmission method, a multi-function card, and an electronic device. The multi-function card may work as a SIM card or a memory card by using electrical contacts through time division multiplexing. Data is transmitted between the multi-function card and a processor in the electronic device, so that a function of subscriber identity identification can be implemented, and a storage capacity of the electronic device can be expanded. Storage space expanded in the electronic device may be used to store a picture, audio, a video, and an application program. The data transmission method and the multi-function card provided in embodiments of this application may be used to save physical space in the electronic device. This is conducive to lightening and thinning of the electronic device.
