A method (200) for operating a User Equipment (UE) is disclosed, the UE configured to connect to a communication network. The method comprises: indicating to the communication network an Integrity Protection for User Plane (IPUP) mode supported by the UE when requesting registration with the communication network (202). The IPUP mode comprises one of: use of Integrity Protection for User Plane data exchanged with the UE (202a), non-use of Integrity Protection for User Plane data exchanged with the UE (202b), or use of Integrity Protection for User Plane data, and non-use of Confidentiality Protection for User Plane data (202c). Also disclosed are an apparatus for operating a UE, methods and apparatus for operating a radio access node and a core node of a communication network, and a computer program operable to carry out methods for operating a UE, a radio access node and/or a core node of a communication network.

Carrier aggregation capability framework
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for indicating carrier aggregation capabilities. An example method generally includes signaling, to a base station (BS), carrier aggregation capability information indicating a capability for performing separate operations concurrently on a plurality of component carriers; receiving a carrier aggregation configuration indicating component carriers designated for the separate operations; and receiving or transmitting transmissions based on the carrier aggregation configuration.

METHOD FOR SYSTEM INFORMATION TRANSMISSION
Method, systems and devices for transmitting system information in a wireless communication system are disclosed. The wireless communication method comprises transmitting a specific information associated with system information, SI, related to a first wireless terminal in a cell, wherein the SI related to the first wireless terminal comprise an instance different from the instance the SI related to a second wireless terminal.

CARRIER AGGREGATION UPLINK SWITCH GAP DETECTION AND REPORT
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication of a monitoring window used by the base station to monitor for uplink transmissions from the UE. The UE may receive a control signal scheduling uplink resources for an uplink transmission by the UE on at least a first component carrier, the first component carrier in a first radio frequency spectrum band. The UE may reconfigure, in response to the received control signal, a first transmit chain of the UE from a second component carrier in a second radio frequency spectrum band to the first component carrier in the first radio frequency spectrum band for the uplink transmission. The UE may transmit, based at least in part on the indicated monitoring window and using at least the reconfigured first transmit chain, the uplink transmission on the first component carrier using the scheduled uplink resources.
Method and device for controlling data transmission state in wireless communication system
A method for controlling a data transmission state by a terminal in a wireless communication system may comprise: transmitting capability configuration information of the terminal to a node of a network; applying a triggered communication environment configuration on the basis of the capability configuration information from the node; transmitting, to the node, first connection configuration information related to a wireless local area network (WLAN) connection configuration; and applying a first communication environment reconfiguration triggered from the node on the basis of the first connection configuration information, wherein the capability configuration information includes LWA function permission information of the terminal.

Uplink signaling for cooperative multipoint communication
A method of operating a wireless communication system is disclosed (FIG. 6). The method includes receiving a virtual cell identification (VCID) parameter (600) from a remote transmitter. A base sequence index (BSI) and a cyclic shift hopping (CSH) parameter (604,606) are determined in response to the VCID. A pseudo-random sequence is selected in response to the BSI and CSH (610,612). A reference signal is generated using the selected pseudo-random sequence (614).
