Providing a roaming policy federation in a third generation partnership project (3GPP) network environment
Presented herein are techniques associated with replicating an OpenRoaming™ policy federation in a Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) network environment. For example, techniques herein provide a roaming policy federation architecture for a 3GPP network environment. In one example a method is provided that may include encoding a multi-bit roaming policy for an identity provider within a plurality of multi-bit 3GPP broadcast identifiers in which the multi-bit roaming policy includes bit-wise roaming policy information for the identity provider. The method may further include configuring the plurality of multi-bit 3GPP broadcast identifiers for a mobile device associated with the identity provider. In one instance, detecting, by the mobile device, at least one multi-bit 3GPP broadcast identifier of the plurality of multi-bit broadcasting identifiers being broadcast by a visited radio access network triggers the mobile device to perform an authentication with the identity provider.

Steering of roaming PLMN list update and management
Apparatuses, systems, and methods for SoR list management and PLMN selection based on an SoR list. A UE may receive an SoR container which may include a list of OPLMNs. The UE may store a prior list of OPLMNs stored on a USIM of the UE on a memory of the UE. The UE replace the prior list of OPLMNs stored on the USIM with the list of OPLMNs included in the SoR container. The UE may consider the prior list of OPLMNs as a lower priority list as compared to the list of OPLMNs stored on the USIM. Additionally, in response to determining to move from a current PLMN, the UE may scan for a new PLMN based on the list of OPLMNs stored on the USIM.

TRACKING NETWORK TRAFFIC OF LOCAL AREA NETWORK (LAN) SUBNETS IN A WIRELESS WIDE AREA NETWORK (WWAN)
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-readable media, for tracking network traffic for local area network (LAN) subnets in a wireless wide area network (WWAN). In some implementations, a UE of the WWAN may assign a unique public IP address to each router of the LAN. The UE may transmit network traffic received from the LAN to the WWAN. The network traffic originating from any router of the LAN may be associated with the unique public IP address that was assigned to that router. The WWAN may use the unique public IP addresses to generate network traffic information that may indicate amounts of network traffic flowing from each router of the LAN. The WWAN, for example, may use the network traffic information to determine billing information for any router in the LAN.

MULTIPLE BASIC SERVICE SET IDENTIFIER (BSSID) BEACON BROADCAST
This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for establishing and maintaining connectivity between access points (APs) that provide multiple BSSID sets and wireless stations (STAs) that do not support enhanced multiple BSSID advertisement (EMA). In some implementations, a wireless communication device may transmit a burst of beacon frames each carrying a respective partial list of nontransmitted BSSID profiles for a multiple BSSID set. In such implementations, the bursts of beacon frames may be transmitted periodically such that the start of each burst occurs one beacon interval after the start of a prior burst. In some other implementations, a wireless communication device may broadcast multiple beacon frames each carrying a full set of nontransmitted BSSID profiles associated with a respective multiple BSSID set. In such implementations, each beacon frame may be periodically broadcast every beacon interval.

RADIO ACCESS NETWORK FUNCTION REPOSITORY
Various embodiments comprise systems, methods, and apparatus for a radio access network (RAN) Network Repository Function (RNRF) configured to receive gNB feature/capability information from gNB formed by network RAN, store the received gNB feature/capability information, and provide gNB feature/capability information to requesting core network nodes or functions so that these nodes/functions may adapt/configure their operation or the services they provide in response to the gNB capabilities.
