SECURE AUTHENTICATION
Methods and systems are disclosed herein for authenticating a user. A security device may use an object associated with a user and a device of the user to authenticate the user, for example, if the user has forgotten a password. A user may insert the object (e.g., a card, or other object) into the security device and may select an option to authenticate via a device that is trusted by both the security device and the user, rather than authenticating by entering a password at the security device.

System for data routing in networks
Systems, methods, and devices for routing data in a network are described. A user device may send a request for video data that has been captured by a premises device. A computing device at the premises may receive the request and determine a capability of the user device. Based on the capability of the user device, the computing device may select a protocol from a plurality of protocols with which the video data is to be transmitted to the user device. Based on determining that the video data cannot be transmitted via the computing device, the video data may be transmitted from the premises device to the user device via the determined protocol.

Pre-positioning target content in a storage network
A method for execution in a storage network, the method begins by determining a user device group content preference, wherein the user group content includes target content for a user device group and the determining includes predicting future target content for the user group. The method continues by selecting a plurality of network edge units for staging encoded data slices, identifying target content for partial download to the plurality of network edge units and dispersed error encoding the target content to generate a set of encoded data slices. The method then continues by identifying encoded data slices from the set of encoded data slices corresponding to the target content for partial download and determining a partial downloading schedule for sending the encoded data slices for partial download to each network edge unit of the plurality of network edge units. The method continues by facilitating partial downloading of the target content by sending the encoded data slices for partial download to each network edge unit of the plurality of network edge units.

METHODS FOR PROVIDING A RESPONSE TO A COMMAND REQUESTING THE EXECUTION OF A PROACTIVE COMMAND
A communication method includes receiving a first message of a Short Message Service containing a first command that requests execution of a proactive command. The first message is decrypted according to protocol SCP80 to extract the first command. The execution of the proactive command is requested in order to obtain a response to the proactive command. A second message of the Short Message Service is transmitted to the remote server and indicates that the response to the proactive command has been obtained. A third message of the Short Message Service is received and contains a second command from the remote server. The third message is decrypted according to the protocol SCP80. A response message is generated as a function of the response and encrypted according to the protocol SCP80 to generate a fourth message of the Short Message Service transmitted to the remote server.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONFIGURING BI-DIRECTIONAL CHANNEL IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for configuring a bi-directional channel in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) configures the bi-directional channel which is used for either an uplink (UL) channel or a sidelink (SL) channel, and transmits data via at least one of the UL channel or the SL channel. The bi-direction channel may be used for vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING AUTOMATIC SETUP OF A REMOTE PATIENT CARE ENVIRONMENT
A system and method for providing automatic setup of a remote patient care environment. Connectivity to a centralized server over a network connection is confirmed. Data reporting for a patient by one or more monitoring devices that are wirelessly connectable is induced through control provided through a user interface. Each of the devices is registered as the device attempts to establish a wireless connection and report the data conditioned on permission for access. Upon granting of the permission for access, the device is wirelessly connected and the data is subsequently received over the wireless connection.
Methods and Systems for Detecting Persons in a Smart Home Environment
The various implementations described herein include methods, devices, and systems for detecting motion and persons. In one aspect, a method is performed at a smart home system that includes a video camera, a server system, and a client device. The video camera captures video and audio, and wirelessly communicates, via the server system, the captured data to the client device. The server system: (1) receives and stores the captured data from the video camera; (2) determines whether an event has occurred, including detected motion; (3) in accordance with a determination that the event has occurred, identifies video and audio corresponding to the event; and (4) classifies the event. The client device receives information indicative of the identified events, displays a user interface for reviewing the video and audio stored by the remote server system, and displays the at least one classification for the event.
