Systems, methods, and non-transitory media are provided for smart sports equipment and integrated platforms. An example method can include receiving, by an integrated platform and from a client device, a request for content associated with a smart ball having a communications device configured to communicate an address for the content to one or more client devices, the request being based on the address from the smart ball; in response to the request, retrieving, by the integrated platform, the content associated with the smart ball; and providing, by the integrated platform, the content to the client device.

A method includes identifying a first point on an object striking element in a first image and a second image from images. The first and second images are captured within a predetermined time span of an impact of the object with the element and determining an impact time of the impact in combination with determining a position in the first and/or second images corresponding to a location of the object at the impact time. The method also includes determining a distance from the imager to a location at which the object and the element impact one another and determining an impact location of the object relative to the first point.

A method for determining a direction of a spin axis of a rotating apparatus which includes an XYZ-magnetic field sensor. The method includes determining a global direction of a magnetic field; rotating the rotating apparatus around the spin axis, measuring at least one magnetic field value as a function of time with the XYZ-magnetic field sensor when the rotating apparatus is rotating about the spin axis, computing a magnetic field component of the magnetic field in a direction of a local body co-ordinate of the spin axis of the rotating apparatus from the measured at least one magnetic field value and determining a direction of the spin axis using the computed magnetic field component of the magnetic field and the determined global direction of the magnetic field.

A launch monitor for golf training includes both a continuous wave radar transmitter and a frequency modulated continuous wave radar transmitter. A first set of golf ball trajectory parameters are estimated with the continuous wave radar transmitter and a second, different set of golf ball trajectory parameters are estimated with the frequency modulated continuous wave radar transmitter. The array of transmitters and receivers may be non-uniform.

The present embodiments provide systems and methods for aggregating measurements captured by different technologies during a golf swing. By capturing measurements using different technologies, more accurate measurements may be provided to a user by selecting from the measurements, offsetting measurements based on the technologies used, and aligning measurements between devices. Further, by aggregating measurements received from different devices, additional features and functionality may be provided to the user that is absent from any one device used alone. Additionally, by storing the aggregated measurements, users, club fitters and instructors may access and leverage larger databases of measurements to better understand the user's golf swing and to provide better recommendations and instruction to the user.

A system for illustrating the flight of a sports ball includes a radar, an imager, and a controller. The imager is configured to image a moving sports ball. The controller is configured to (i) receive, from the imager, an image including the moving sports ball, (ii) receive, from the radar, radar data associated with the moving sports ball, (iii) determine, from the radar data, a portion of a trajectory of the moving sports hall, (iv) alter the image to illustrate the portion of the trajectory relative to the moving sports ball, and (v) output the altered image.
