Pairable secure-access facilities
Systems and methods are provided for providing access to secure-access facilities based on pairing of the secure-access facilities with a user device such as a wearable device. A pairable secure-access facility may be a public storage facility or device such as a locker that includes communications circuitry for pairing with the user device. Once paired with the user device, the locker may operate a locking mechanism to lock the locker when the user device is away from the locker and to unlock the locker when the user device is in the vicinity of the locker. The locker may include a beacon for detecting and pairing with the user devices. Pairing the user device and the locker may include entering a locker identifier into the user device to ensure that the intended user device is paired with the intended locker.
Method and apparatus for establishing wireless communications connection
A method of operating an electronic device is provided. The method includes acquiring, first biometric information by sensing a physical contact of a user of the electronic device; transmitting first sub-information of the first biometric information to a terminal within a certain time from an instant of acquiring the first biometric information; acquiring, from the terminal, second sub-information of second biometric information of the user who uses the terminal, based on the first sub-information of the first biometric information being matched with first sub-information of the second biometric information; comparing second sub-information of the first biometric information with the second sub-information of the second biometric information acquired from the terminal; and based on a comparison result that the second sub-information of the first biometric information matches the second sub-information of the second biometric information, determining whether to establish a pairing with the terminal through a wireless network.
Method and device for performing communication by using virtual subscriber identity module
A method and a device for performing communication by using a virtual subscriber identity module are used to provide a mode in which the device can perform communication without a SIM card. The method includes: receiving, by a first device, a virtual subscriber identity module data package sent by a second device by using a short range communications protocol, where the virtual subscriber identity module data package carries a virtual subscriber identity, and the virtual subscriber identity is used to uniquely identify a user using the first device when the first device performs communication in a network provided by a mobile communications operator; obtaining, by the first device, the virtual subscriber identity by using the virtual subscriber identity module data package; and communicating, by the first device by using the virtual subscriber identity, with another device in the network provided by the mobile communications operator.
Device, computer program and method
A device for authenticating a user is described. This device comprises transceiver circuitry configured to receive motion information from a plurality of wearable devices located on a user's body indicative of the motion of the user's body at the location of the respective wearable device at a particular time; and 5 controller circuitry configured to: compare the received motion information and the location of the respective wearable device and authenticate the user in the event of a positive comparison between the received motion information and the location of the respective wearable device with stored motion information and the location of the respective wearable device.

Mount, authentication device, authentication method, and program
A wearable article includes: an annular casing that surrounds a space into which a body of a user is to be inserted; a light-emitting element that is provided in the casing, the light-emitting element emitting light towards the space; an imaging element that is provided in the casing, the imaging element capturing and obtaining an image of the space when the light-emitting element emits light; and an authentication circuit that authenticates the user based on a vein pattern obtained in advance and the image.
Wearable electronic device, main electronic device, system and control method thereof
A wearable electronic device includes: an input module configured to receive a user manipulation for changing a configuration setting value of a main electronic device; and a communication module configured to transmit a control signal for changing a configuration setting value to the main electronic device.
Mobile application for wearable device
Featured are devices (e.g., peripheral devices) and systems that interact with a device having sensors (e.g., a wearable device or device configured for use with a piece of equipment, such as a vehicle) to receive and process data (e.g., physiological data) from the sensors. Also featured are computer implemented methods including software (e.g., an application) for receiving and processing data by the peripheral device. An application that communicates with the device (e.g., wearable device or equipment device) and sensor information processed by the application or a device running or accessing the application provides situational awareness for users in adverse conditions, such as during combat or wartime. The wearable device may include one or more inflatable bladders configured to apply pressure to a wound site for treatment.

Direct access authentication using gestures
A mobile computing device can include a processing unit, wireless communication interfaces, and a computer-readable memory including instructions executable by the processing unit to cause the device to perform various operations. The device may receive a request to access an application includes application pages that may be configured to provide functional features of the application, and in response to receiving the request, may present an authentication user interface (UI) and may detect a gesture from a user by the UI. The device may transmit the gesture to an authentication server and may receive a confirmation from the server that the user has been successfully authenticated. The device may determine a specific application page to present to the user based on the gesture by accessing mappings between the application pages and corresponding gestures. The specific application page, providing functional features, can be presented to the user by the device.
