ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device may include: a first subscriber identity module (SIM); a second SIM; a flexible display having at least a portion which can be folded or unfolded, and including an area corresponding to the first SIM and an area corresponding to the second SIM; a communication circuit; a memory; and a processor operatively coupled, directly or indirectly, to the first SIM, the second SIM, the flexible display, the communication circuit, and the memory. The processor(s) may be configured to: receive, through the communication circuit, a notification related to the first SIM from the outside; provide the notification related to the first SIM to a designated area on the basis of a state of the flexible display when at least a portion of the area corresponding to the first SIM in the flexible display is in a folded state; and display an execution screen of an application corresponding to the notification related to the first SIM on the flexible display when the area corresponding to the first SIM is changed to an unfolded state while the notification related to the first SIM is provided.
Data transfer using a dual SIM phone
A first subscriber identification module (SIM) of a dual SIM device is connected to a network. A small cell is informed that the dual SIM device is a dual SIM-type device and a first radio frequency device of the dual SIM device is attached to the network. A second radio frequency device of the dual SIM device is attached to the network. The small cell is configured to treat a second SIM as a control SIM and to treat the first SIM a data SIM. User data is transferred to the first radio frequency device, a control channel switch command is sent to the dual SIM device, and control information is transferred to the second radio frequency device.
SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY MODULE WHICH HAS MULTIPLE PROFILES AND WHICH IS DESIGNED FOR AN AUTHENTICATION COMMAND
A subscriber identity module (eUICC), comprises profiles for the utilization of a mobile terminal that include at least a first profile and at least a second profile, of which the second profile (Pr1, Pr2) is devised as an active profile. The first profile is designed as a root profile (PrR) which in a normal state of the subscriber identity module is in an inactive state, and which is devised to be activated in response to an authentication command (AUTHENTICATE) received at the subscriber identity module. The authentication command is specially parameterized for the root profile (PrR) with a specific root value of the network parameter (P2) to be activated during a change-over period. The initially active second profile (Pr1, Pr2) is deactivated during the change-over period. After the end of the change-over period, the first profile (PrR) is again deactivated and the second profile (Pr1, Pr2) is again activated.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING COMMUNICATION SERVICES USING A PLURALITY OF REMOTE SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY MODULES
A method and a wireless communication device for providing communication service to devices connected to the wireless communication device. By establishing a starter wireless carrier connection using a starter SIM from a plurality of local SIMs, the wireless communication device establishes one or more logical data connections with one or more SIM banks. Remote-SIMs are selected from the one or more SIM banks and used to establish further wireless carrier connections to allow communication service to be provided to the devices over wireless carrier connections.
Method of enabling access to a plurality of communication networks for a wireless communication device
The invention relates to methods and devices for enabling access to a plurality of communication networks (107-110). A wireless communication device (101) acquires (S101) information regarding network access capabilities of any modems with which the wireless communication device is equipped, as well as information identifying operator profiles available to each of said any modems, and establishes (S102) a connection with a network connectivity selection node (106) that can determine which network access is available for each of said any modems. The wireless communication device further reports (S103) the acquired network access capabilities and operator profiles of each of said any modems to the network connectivity selection node, and receives (S105), in reply to the reporting, a recommendation on which one or more of said any modems to use for connecting to one or more of the plurality of communication networks.
Embedded subscriber identity module (eSIM) profile adaptation based on context
An Internet of things (IoT) wireless communication module. The IoT wireless communication module comprises an antenna, a radio transceiver coupled to the antenna, an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) coupled to the radio transceiver, where the eUICC is provisioned with a plurality of eSIM profiles, a non-transitory memory, a processor coupled to the non-transitory memory, to the radio transceiver, and to the eUICC, and an eSIM profile adapter application stored in the non-transitory memory. When executed by the processor, the eSIM profile adapter application determines a system installation context of the IoT wireless communication module, selects one of the plurality of eSIM profiles stored in the eUICC based on the system installation context, and activates the selected eSIM profile in the eUICC.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SWITCHING BETWEEN SERVICE PROVIDER NETWORKS
A user device (e.g., a mobile phone, user equipment (UE), a dual subscriber identity module (SIM) dual standby (DSDS) device, a multi-SIM multi-standby device (MSMS) device, a mobile device, a smart device, laptop, tablet, computing device, etc.) may dynamically determine configurations for preferred and/or offload networks and optimally switch connections between service provider networks.

UE ASSISTED PAGING ENHANCEMENTS FOR MULTI-USIM DEVICES
An apparatus in a communications device supporting a plurality of different identities, the apparatus comprising at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code, the at least one memory and computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to: determine at least one paging overlap occasion for networks associated with the different identities; communicate the at least one paging overlap occasion determination to one of the networks associated with one of the different identities within a registration request to the one of the networks, wherein the one of the networks is caused to schedule at least one paging message to the apparatus based on the at least one paging overlap occasion determination such that the at least one paging message is scheduled at a time other than the at least one paging overlap occasion determination; and control a reception of the at least one paging message for the one of the networks such that the apparatus is caused not to listen for a paging message for the one of the networks during the determined at least one paging overlap occasion and control a reception of at least one paging message for a further one of the networks associated with the different identities during the determined at least one paging overlap occasion.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PERFORMING COMMUNICATION BY USING VIRTUAL SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY MODULE
A method and a device for performing communication by using a virtual subscriber identity module are used to provide a mode in which the device can perform communication without a SIM card. The method includes: receiving, by a first device, a virtual subscriber identity module data package sent by a second device by using a short range communications protocol, where the virtual subscriber identity module data package carries a virtual subscriber identity, and the virtual subscriber identity is used to uniquely identify a user using the first device when the first device performs communication in a network provided by a mobile communications operator; obtaining, by the first device, the virtual subscriber identity by using the virtual subscriber identity module data package; and communicating, by the first device by using the virtual subscriber identity, with another device in the network provided by the mobile communications operator.
