Home Toy Magic Wand Management Platform Interacting with Toy Magic Wands of Visitors
The present disclosure is directed to facilitating the pairing of a visitor interactive object. An example method includes receiving, by a first interactive object from one or more sensors, data indicative of a visitor interactive object identifier associated with the visitor interactive object. The method includes generating, by the first interactive object, a pairing communication for the visitor interactive object that includes the visitor interactive object identifier and instructions to pair with the visitor interactive object. The method includes communicating, by the first interactive object, the pairing communication to a central computing device. The central computing device can be temporarily paired with the visitor interactive object based on the pairing communication. For instance, the method can include receiving, by the central computing device, the visitor pairing communication, generating a temporary visitor profile based on the visitor interactive identifier, and establishing the temporary wireless connection with the visitor interactive object.
AUTHENTICATING A CLIENT DEVICE
Examples described herein relate to techniques for authenticating a client device by obtaining device-type information during an initial phase of authentication process. According to some examples, identifying a client device intending to connect to a network and sending an identity-request thereto. Receiving an identity-response from the client device along with device-type information. Identifying a device category from a set of device categories corresponding to identified device-type information. Selecting a device policy applicable to the identified device-type information. Authenticating the client device to enable access to the network and applying the selected device policy to the client device.

Network cyber-security platform
A security platform of a data network is provided that includes security services for computing devices in communication with the data network. The security platform may apply a security policy to the computing devices when accessing the Internet via a home network (or other customer network) and when accessing the Internet via a public or third party network. To provide security services to computing devices via the home network, the security platform may communicate with a security agent application executed on the router (or other gateway device) of the home network. In addition, each of the devices identified by the security profile for the home network may be instructed or otherwise be provided a security agent application for execution on the computing devices. The security agent application may communicate with the security platform when the computing device connects to the Internet over a third party or public access point.

Secure Wireless Networks For Vehicle Assigning Authority
A system and method (600) of securely and accurately connecting mobile devices (110) to wireless networks in vehicles (210) for a predetermined work assignment by using encrypted wireless network configurations based on vehicle specific data is disclosed herein. The system comprises a vehicle (210) comprising an on-board computer (232) with a memory (231) having a vehicle identification number (233), a connector plug (235), and an motorized engine (234), a connected vehicle device (130) comprising a processor, a WiFi radio, a BLUETOOTH radio, a memory, and a connector for mating with the connector plug of the vehicle (210), and a mobile device (110) comprising a graphical user interface (335), a processor (310), a WiFi radio (307), a BLUETOOTH radio (306), and a cellular network interface (308).
CLIENT DEVICE BASED SOLUTION FOR HANDLING MAC RANDOMIZATION
A system and method are provided for a network device for use with a client device having a hostname and a MAC address. The network device contains a memory that has a second hostname and a second MAC address stored within the memory. The second MAC address corresponds to the second hostname. The memory also contains a processor configured to execute instructions stored on the memory to cause the network device to: receive, from the client device, the hostname and the MAC address; determine whether the MAC address is randomized; provide an instruction to the client device to inform a user of the client device that the client device hostname is registered when the hostname matches the second hostname and the MAC address is randomized.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING ACCESS TO ENTITY IDENTITY DATA
A system and method for managing access to entity identity data are described. The system comprises a communications module; a processor coupled with the communications module; and a memory coupled to the processor and storing processor-executable instructions which, when executed by the processor, configure the processor to authenticate a remote device as being associated with an entity; receive, via the communications module and from the remote device, pre-consent data identifying one or more third parties permitted to access entity identity data for the entity; store, in the memory, the pre-consent data in association with the entity; receive, via the communications module and from a digital identity network, a signal representing a request to release the entity identity data to the third party; determine, based on the pre-consent data, that the entity identity data is to be released to the third party; and initiate release of the entity identity data to a computing device associated with the third party.
