METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OBTAINING CHANNEL INFORMATION IN POLARIZATION DIVISION DUPLEX SYSTEMS
A method and an apparatus for acquiring channel information in a polarization division duplex system. An uplink signal transmitted from a terminal is received, the uplink signal indicating that a null subcarrier is disposed in a first subcarrier overlapped with a second subcarrier including a downlink pilot signal, and a self-interference channel is estimated by using a signal received from the null subcarrier. A signal corresponding to the null subcarrier from the uplink signal is removed, and channel information is acquired by estimating the uplink channel based on estimation results of the self-interference channel and a pilot signal included in the uplink signal from which the null subcarrier is removed.
USER APPARATUS, AND UPLINK TRANSMISSION SWITCHING METHOD
A user apparatus which performs communications with one or more base stations in a communication system which supports carrier aggregation is provided. The user apparatus includes a control unit configured to select a specific cell or a specific cell group as a reference of an uplink transmission carrier switching timing, from a plurality of cells or a plurality of cell groups with which the carrier aggregation is configured; and a transmission unit configured to perform switching from uplink transmission using a first cell carrier to uplink transmission using a second cell carrier based on a transient period timing in the selected specific cell or specific cell group.
Method for resource management in a cellular communication network and resource management system
A method for resource management in a cellular communication network, wherein the network includes at least one base station per cell for a plurality of cells that operates in TDD (Time Division Duplex) transmission mode, wherein the base stations implement a respective UL/DL configuration mode in which frames are composed of a specific sequence of downlink DL, uplink UL and special S subframes, is characterized in that the base stations are operated such that neighboring base stations with adjacent and/or overlapping coverage areas employ different UL/DL configuration modes, wherein interference between neighboring base stations is taken account of by implementing power control on a subframe basis. Furthermore, a resource management system for use in a cellular communication network is described.
Non-interference technique for spatially aware mobile ad hoc networking
A system and method for reducing interference between wireless terminals communicating in a mobile ad-hoc network (MANET). Interference is reduced by dividing the MANET into a number of geographical areas having a specific size and shape. Each geographical area is assigned a time slot during which wireless terminals located in the respective geographical area may transmit to other wireless terminals. The time slots are assigned such that geographical areas having the same time slot are far enough away from each other that wireless terminals located in such same time slot geographical areas are outside the interference range of each other.

Method and apparatus for allocating a pilot signal adapted to the channel characteristics
A set of different pilot structures are designed for use in different environments and/or different user behaviours that are expected to occur in a cell. The radio conditions for a user are estimated. Each user is then assigned an area (108A-E) in resource space for its communication, which has a suitable pilot configuration. In one embodiment, the entire resource space is provided with different pilot structures in different parts (110A-D). In advance and allocation of resources to the users are then performed in order to match estimated radio conditions to the provided pilot structure. In another embodiment, allocation is performed first, and then the actual pilot structure is adapted within the allocated resource space area to suit the environmental conditions.

INDUSTRIAL WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM
An industrial wireless communications system includes a PLC that performs at least monitoring within an industrial facility, at least one master wireless device connected to the PLC by a fieldbus, a plurality of slave wireless devices, which are installed corresponding to respective hardware devices, and carry out wireless communications with the master wireless device, a connection processing unit that carries out a connection process wirelessly between the master wireless device and the slave wireless devices, and a transmission/reception processing unit that transmits and receives data wirelessly between the master wireless device and the slave wireless devices.
Systems and methods for effective physical cell identifier reuse
Systems and methods for allocating a physical cell identifier (PCI) to a cell are described. In one implementation, the method comprises identifying allocated physical cell identifiers based on PCI data and generating a near PCI list and a far PCI list based on the allocated PCIs and a RSRP threshold value. Further, the method comprises determining cell group IDs and a cell IDs from the near PCI list and the far PCI list. Further, the method comprises assigning the cell group IDs to a first bin and the cell IDs to a second bin. Further, the method comprises prioritizing the cell group IDs in the first bin based on effective distance and the cell IDs in the second bin based on an effective RSRP value. Further, the method comprises allocating the PCI, to the cell, determined based on the prioritized cell group IDs and the cell IDs.
Method of interference avoidance and base station
A method of reducing interference to reception of streams of television content received at a television receiver in which each of the streams of television content are transmitted on one of a plurality of frequency channels in accordance with a channel map which defines on which of the plurality of frequency channels each stream of television content is transmitted and the interference being caused by a base station transmitting data to or receiving data from one or more mobile devices via radio communication signals in a vicinity of the television receiver. The method includes identifying the channel map and adapting a transmission of the radio communication signals between the base station and the one or more of mobile devices in accordance with the identified channel map to reduce interference at the television receiver.
