Load control from control plane CIoT EPS optimization
A core network node supporting Control Plane CIoT (Celluar Internet of Things) EPS (Evolved Packet System) Optimization includes a transmitter configured to transmit to a radio access network node an information indicating overload from data transfer via the Control Plane CIoT EPS Optimization. A radio access network node includes a receiver configured to receive, from a core network node, an information indicating overload from data transfer via Control Plane CIoT (Celluar Internet of Things) EPS (Evolved Packet System) Optimization.
Method and device for reducing data loss in mobile communication system
A communication method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system, according to an embodiment, includes: transmitting, to an access and mobility management function (AMF) or a session management function (SMF), UE capability information including first information about whether or not extended session management is supported; receiving from the AMF or the SMF network capability information including second information about whether or not the extended session management is supported; and receiving, from the AMF or the SMF, a result of mapping a protocol data unit (PDU) session to an evolved packet system (EPS) bearer, performed based on the first information and the second information.
Recipient-based content optimization in a messaging system
The subject technology determines, by at least one processor, that a value of a capability parameter is not available for a first recipient device, the first recipient device being one of a plurality of recipient devices. The subject technology receives, from the first recipient device, a value of the capability parameter. The subject technology clusters, by at least one processor, the plurality of recipient devices into a plurality of groups of recipient devices based on device capabilities including an available storage space. The subject technology determines, for each group of recipient devices, a set of content parameters compatible with device capabilities of the plurality of recipient devices of a group of client devices. The subject technology generates, for each group of recipient devices, a version of content according to an associated set of content parameters.
User equipment and methods of bearer operation for carrier aggregation
Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE) to support dual-connectivity with a Master Evolved Node-B (MeNB) and a Secondary eNB (SeNB) are disclosed herein. The UE may receive downlink traffic packets from the MeNB and from the SeNB as part of a split data radio bearer (DRB). At least a portion of control functionality for the split DRB may be performed at each of the MeNB and the SeNB. The UE may receive an uplink eNB indicator for an uplink eNB to which the UE is to transmit uplink traffic packets as part of the split DRB. Based at least partly on the uplink eNB indicator, the UE may transmit uplink traffic packets to the uplink eNB as part of the split DRB. The uplink eNB may be selected from a group that includes the MeNB and the SeNB.
DISCONTINUOUS RECEPTION (DRX) ENHANCEMENTS IN LTE SYSTEMS
Embodiments of a system and method for providing DRX enhancements in LTE systems are generally described herein. In some embodiments, a system control module is provided for controlling communications via a communications interface. A processor is coupled to the system control module and is arranged to implement an inactivity timer and an on-duration timer for determining an active time for monitoring subframes on the physical downlink control channel for control signals, the processor further monitoring subframes after the active time.
4G/5G Open RAN CU-UP Pool Solution
A method, system and computer readable media are presented for managing Centralized Unit (CU)-User Plane (UP) in CU-Control Plane (CP). In one embodiment a method includes configuring a pool of CU-UPs; associating a CU-UP of the pool of CU-UPs with a type of subscriber; and selecting a CU-UP of the pool of CU-UPs pool based on characteristics associated with the CU-UP.
INTEGRATED ACCESS AND BACKHAUL NODE TO REPEATER CONVERSION
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may transmit first control signaling indicating a capability of the wireless device to operate in a plurality of modes of operation. The plurality of modes of operation including a first mode of operation associated with repeater operations and a first energy level and a second mode of operation associated with integrated access and backhaul (IAB) operations and a second energy level higher than the first energy level. The wireless device may receive second control signaling indicating at least one mode of operation of the plurality of modes of operation, and communicate one or more wireless signals according to the at least one mode of operation at the wireless device.
Carrier aggregation capability signaling
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Techniques to use capability information for user equipment in wide band systems such as millimeter wave systems. The capability information can include information indicative of support for limited non-contiguous intra-band carrier aggregation. The capability information can include information indicative of support for sharing time and frequency tracking information between cells.
Reducing latency in downloading electronic resources using multiple threads
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for reducing latency in presenting content. In one aspect, a system includes a native application that presents an interactive item and a latency reduction engine. The latency reduction engine detects interaction with the interactive item that links to a first electronic resource that is different from the native application and provided by a first network domain and in response to the detecting, reduces latency in presenting the first electronic resource, including executing a first processing thread and a second processing thread in parallel. The first processing thread requests a second electronic resource from a second network domain and loads the second electronic resource and, in response to the loading, stores a browser cookie for the second network domain. The second processing thread requests the first electronic resource and presents the first electronic resource.
TUNNEL NEIGHBOR DISCOVERY
A system for discovering tunnel neighbors is provided. During operation, the system can establish, at a first switch, a tunnel with a second switch in an overlay tunnel fabric that includes the first and second switches. Upon establishing the tunnel, the system can generate a discovery packet comprising a first set of discovery information indicating the configuration and capabilities of the first switch associated with the tunnel. The system can send the discovery packet to the second switch via the tunnel prior to initiating payload data communication via the tunnel. The system can also receive a second discovery packet from the second switch via the tunnel. The second discovery packet can include a second set of discovery information indicating the configuration and capabilities of the second switch associated with the tunnel. The system can then store the second set of discovery information in an entry of a data structure.
