METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND COMPUTER READABLE MEDIA FOR OPTIMIZING NETWORK TRAFFIC DISTRIBUTION USING TIMESLOT-BASED TRACKED PRODUCER NETWORK FUNCTION (NF) PERFORMANCE DURING PRODUCER NF SELECTION

A method for optimizing network traffic distribution using timeslot-based tracked producer network function (NF) performance during producer NF selection is performed at a service communications proxy (SCP) including at least one processor. The method includes tracking a performance characteristic of producer NFs across different timeslots. The method further includes receiving, from a consumer NF, a service based interface (SBI) service request. The method further includes identifying eligible producer NFs capable of handling the SBI service request. The method further includes selecting, from the eligible producer NFs, in a manner that at least partially overrides priorities of the eligible producer NFs, and based on the tracked performance characteristic across the different timeslots, a producer NF to handle the SBI service request. The method further includes forwarding the SBI service request to the producer NF.

Dynamic congestion control algorithm selection in a proxy device

A system can receive an indication associated with establishing a transmission control protocol (TCP) connection. The system can determine, based on the indication, information that identifies a user device associated with the TCP connection. The system can determine, based on the information that identifies the user device, a predicted congestion level of a base station associated with the TCP connection. The system can select, based on the predicted congestion level, a congestion control algorithm to be implemented for the TCP connection. The system can cause the TCP connection to be established and implement the congestion control algorithm for the TCP connection.

VEHICLE ROADSIDE UNIT INTERFERENCE DETECTION

An infrastructure device includes a transceiver, programmed to communicate with a plurality of vehicles, wherein at least one of the vehicles is located within a distance defined from a location of the infrastructure device, and at least one of the vehicles is located outside the distance from the location of the infrastructure device; and a controller, programmed to measure a channel busy ratio (CBR) for communication with the plurality of vehicles, measure a package error rate (PER) for communication with one or more of the vehicles located within the distance, and responsive to the CBR being greater than a CBR threshold, or the PER being greater than a PER threshold, record an interference event into a log.

Collaborative scheduling of last hop cellular traffic

An eNodeB or other cell access point device can receive demand data from mobile devices served by the cell. The demand data can represent an estimate of demand over a future period for network resources (e.g., bandwidth). The cell can aggregate this demand data and determine price data for the time period or for various intervals of the time period, then transmit the price data to the mobile devices. The price data can operate as a collaborative approach to scheduling traffic. For example, data (e.g., delay tolerant data) can be shifted (e.g., delayed for a few seconds) based on an examination of the price data in conjunction a determined priority of the data. Such can be applicable to data traffic not traditionally thought of as delay tolerant such as streaming video or web browsing, and can be accomplished without negatively impacting the quality of service or experience of the client.
