20220322130 · 2022-10-06 ·

Systems and methods for New Radio (NR) User Equipment (UE) use of Long Term Evolution (LTE) reference signals are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a NR wireless device for increasing throughput includes: receiving a configuration for at least one LTE reference signal; and using the at least one LTE reference signal. In this way, the need to configure additional NR reference signals can be reduced. As a result, the reference signal overhead for an NR UE in a Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS) deployment can be reduced. In addition to rate matching Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) around the LTE reference signals, the LTE reference signals can be used for one or more of: Channel State Information (CSI) measurement and feedback; time and frequency synchronization/tracking; and configuring the LTE reference signal as a Quasi-Co-Location (QCL) source in a Transmission Configuration Indicator (TCI) state for the NR UE.

The method includes: acquiring the maximum transmission time; and activating or deactivating a reliable transmission according to the maximum transmission time, wherein the reliable transmission includes at least one of the following: a duplicated transmission mode, a repeated transmission mode, and a transmission mode including a target MCS. On the basis of the above-mentioned solution, a terminal device can activate a reliable transmission when data transmission fails and a transmission time does not exceed the maximum transmission time, the probability of successful data transmission within the maximum transmission time can be improved, and the transmission, which is not within the maximum transmission time, of other data is not affected.

Resource Determining Method and Apparatus

A resource determining method receiving, by a transmission user equipment , scheduling request (SR) configuration information from a network device, where the SR configuration information corresponds to a sidelink (SL) signaling radio bearer (SRB), where the SR configuration information indicates a first SR resource, and the transmission user equipment is a device on an sidelink SL. The transmission user equipment sends an SR to the network device using the first SR resource.

MITIGATION OF ACTIVE LINK ALTERNATION BY MULTI-LINK DEVICES

Mitigation of active link alternation by multi-link devices (MLDs) may be provided. First, at least first and second links may be established between an Access Point (AP) MLD and an associated MLD client. The first link may be active, while the second link may be inactive. A set of traffic load data associated with the links may be collected before and after transmission of a Basic Service Set (BSS) load report to the MLD client. The report may include a traffic load on the second link prior to transmission, where the second link is less loaded than the first link. Based on the collected traffic load data, an active link alternation from the first to the second link by the MLD client responsive to receiving the report may be detected. One or more methods for BSS load report management may then be applied to mitigate future active link alternation.

Recommended bit rate and recommended bit rate query for uplink and downlink streaming

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for an enhanced query and response message for a recommended bit rate for uplink and/or downlink streaming. The techniques generally include generating a query message indicating a requested data rate for streaming services, wherein the requested data rate is indicated via a bit rate field and one or more additional bits, and sending the query message to a base station.

Backhaul bandwidth adjusting method and apparatus

A backhaul bandwidth adjusting method includes: acquiring the amount of the data to be transmitted of each access device in a first time window, the access device including access user equipment and a wireless backhaul base station; and determining, on the basis of the amount of the data to be transmitted of each access device in the first time window and a wired backhaul bandwidth, an available backhaul bandwidth allocated for each wireless backhaul base station in the next first time window. As such, a wired backhaul base station can allocate to a wireless backhaul base station reasonable bandwidths of an uplink backhaul link and a downlink backhaul link on the basis of the amount of the data to be transmitted of the connected wireless backhaul base station, such that spectrum resources can be used more effectively.

SESSION OFFLOADING FOR L2 UE-TO-NETWORK RELAY ARCHITECTURE

A remote UE or a relay UE may identify a configuration for a relocation of one or more session termination points associated with one or more radio access packet data sessions from the relay UE to the remote UE or from the remote UE to the relay UE. The remote UE or the relay UE may execute the relocation of the one or more session termination points associated with the one or more radio access packet data sessions from the relay UE to the remote UE or from the remote UE to the relay UE based on the configuration. The session termination point relocation may be controlled by the remote UE, the relay UE, or a network entity. The remote UE may transmit or receive data with a network via the relay UE based on the relocation of the one or more session termination points.

DEVICED BASED NETWORK STEERING

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, attaching a mobile device to an initial bearer at a base station of a mobility network, monitoring a performance parameter for communication by the mobile device on the initial bearer, requesting, by the mobile device, information about other bearers at the base station of the mobility network, wherein the requesting is responsive to the performance parameter failing to exceed a predetermined performance threshold, receiving at the mobile device, network information about other bearers at the base station of the mobility network, the network information including current capacity information for the other bearers, selecting, by the mobile device, a selected alternative bearer based on the information about other bearers, and communicating, to the mobility network, a user equipment (UE) capabilities message identifying the selected alternative bearer and omitting the initial bearer to change bearers to obtain better communication performance at the mobile device. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Reestablishment of lost radio link between user equipment and source node using cryptographic verification based on a secret key
11653265 · 2023-05-16 · ·

For each target cell determined by a handover decision process, a first message is transmitted from a source base station (20S) to a target base station (20T) servicing that target cell. The first message includes an identifier of a wireless device (10) having a communication link with the source base station and information for obtaining authentication data for this wireless device. The authentication data depends on a secret key available to the wireless device and the source base station and on an identity of the target cell. Upon failure of the communication link, a cell is selected at the wireless device, which transmits to that cell a reestablishment request message including its identifier and authentication data depending on the secret key and on an identity of the selected cell. If the selected cell is a target cell serviced by a target base station that received a first message, conformity of the authentication data included in the reestablishment request message with the authentication data obtained from this first message is verified to authorize transfer of the communication link to the selected cell.
