Dynamic prioritization for live streaming
According to certain embodiments, a method by a first network node operating as a Radio Access Network (RAN) node for dynamic scheduling prioritization for live uplink streaming includes receiving at least one priority level. Based on the at least one priority level, an expected quality level is determined. The expected quality level is defined as a Quality of Service (QoS) of a QoS flow being scheduled with a service quality above a minimum quality level and below a maximum quality level. A current service quality for a plurality of QoS flows is determined. Based on the combined current service quality and the expected quality level, a scheduling priority for assigning resources to a plurality of QoS flows is determined.
Channel state information report transmissions method and communications device
This application provides a channel state information report transmission method and a communications device. The method includes: determining N channel state information reports; and sending M of the N channel state information reports based on priorities of the N channel state information reports, where both N and M are positive integers greater than or equal to 1, and M is less than or equal to N; and a priority of a channel state information report in the N channel state information reports.
Method of Switching Between Data Connections for Mobile Communication Devices
A method for switching between data connections for a mobile communication device is disclosed, the method comprising the steps of establishing both a cellular data connection and a Wi-Fi data connection between the mobile communication device and a server; and concurrently maintaining the cellular data connection and the Wi-Fi data connection. The method further comprises the steps of collecting monitoring data by concurrently monitoring a first ping of the cellular data connection and a second ping of the Wi-Fi data connection; using either the cellular data connection or the Wi-Fi data connection for data communication with the server at any one time; and collecting switching data, the switching data indicative of a frequency of switching. The method further comprises the step of determining at a predetermined time and based on the monitoring data and the switching data whether switching should be performed.
SMALL DATA TRANSMISSIONS IN AN INACTIVE STATE TO DISAGGREGATED BASE STATIONS
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may directly send small data to a disaggregated base station without performing a random access procedure. The CU-CP may provide a list of routing identifiers and corresponding data resource bearers (DRBs) to a distributed unit (DU) and the DU may transmit a connection release message to the UE. The connection release message may include the list of routing identifiers and the list of DRB identifiers. The connection release message may also include a downlink monitoring timer. The UE may identify data for an uplink transmission and a DRB associated with that data. The UE may transmit a packet with the data and the routing identifiers to a DU, which may derive downlink address information from the routing identifiers and forward the data to a CU-UP of the aggregated base station.
INTERNET PROTOCOL VERSION 6 (IPV6) BASED WIRELESS NETWORK COMMUNICATION METHOD AND COMMUNICATION DEVICE
An Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) based wireless network communication method and a communication device are provided. The method includes: determining a transmission path of a plaintext IPv6 packet based on a TEID field of the plaintext IPv6 packet, where the TEID field indicates a bearer to which the plaintext IPv6 packet belongs; and transmitting the plaintext IPv6 packet on the determined transmission path of the plaintext IPv6 packet.
COMMUNICATION METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM
A communication method is provided. A first network element receives an association identifier of a first application from a session management network element, where the association identifier is for associating different quality of service QoS flows of the first application. The first network element performs joint scheduling on the plurality of QoS flows of the first application that each carry the association identifier. Based on this solution, the first network element can identify, based on the association identifier, QoS flows belonging to a same application, and perform joint scheduling, and it is ensured that the QoS flows of the same application can arrive at a terminal device simultaneously or a time interval between arrivals at the terminal device is small, so that service experience of a user can be improved.
Discontinuous reception (DRX) enhancements in LTE systems
Embodiments of a system and method for providing DRX enhancements in LTE systems are generally described herein. In some embodiments, a system control module is provided for controlling communications via a communications interface. A processor is coupled to the system control module and is arranged to implement an inactivity timer and an on-duration timer for determining an active time for monitoring subframes on the physical downlink control channel for control signals, the processor further monitoring subframes after the active time.
Radio station, radio communication method, non-transitory computer readable medium, and radio communication system
The present disclosure provides a radio station and a radio communication method capable of performing efficient control in Dual Connectivity. A radio station (10) includes: a classification unit (11) that classifies, when a data radio bearer is established with a communication terminal through a radio station (20), the data radio bearer into one of a plurality of groups based on a predetermined classification condition; and a transmission unit (12) that transmits, to the radio station (20), an establishment request message requesting establishment of the data radio bearer, and the group into which the data radio bearer is classified.
Method and device for resuming data radio bearer, storage medium and electronic device
Provided are a method and device for resuming data radio bearer, a storage medium and an electronic device. The method for resuming data radio bearer includes: indication information is sent to a network-side network element, the indication information being used for indicating a first data radio bearer in data radio bearers maintained by User Equipment (UE), and the first data radio bearer being a data radio bearer needing to send uplink data; configuration information returned by the network-side network element according to the indication information is received; and the first data radio bearer is resumed according to the configuration information.
Systems and methods for allocating network resources utilizing bearer information
A base station may obtain information associated with a bearer established for a communication session involving a user equipment. The bearer may be associated with a quality of service (QoS) flow of a network slice and the information may include a QoS flow identifier, a QoS configuration identifier associated with a QoS that is to be provided for communications associated with the QoS flow, and a network slice identifier. The base station may determine a scheduling weight for the bearer based on the QoS flow identifier, the QoS configuration identifier, and the network slice identifier. The base station may cause resources to be allocated to the bearer according to the scheduling weight.
