Terminal, radio communication method, base station, and system
A terminal is disclosed that includes a receiver that receives a measurement configuration including an information on a number of reports. The terminal also includes a processor that, when reporting of a cell-level measurement result is triggered, controls reporting of a beam-level measurement result based on the information on the number of reports, where the measurement configuration includes a maximum number of beam-level measurement result reports. In other aspects, a radio communication method, a base station, and a system are also disclosed.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING CONTINUITY OF BROADCAST SERVICE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
An operating method of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include: receiving, from a first base station (BS), a radio resource control (RRC) message including multicast and broadcast service (MBS) configuration information; receiving an MBS from the first BS, based on the MBS configuration information; receiving, from the first BS, a handover command received from a second BS, based on information about the MBS; performing a handover to the second BS, based on the handover command; and receiving the MBS from the second BS, wherein the MBS is transmitted from the first BS until the handover is successful.
MULTICAST COMMUNICATIONS FOR RADIO RESOURCE CONTROL MODES
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) may receive signaling indicating a set of multicast configurations for a set of multicast modes supported by the UE. Each multicast mode of the set of multicast modes may be associated with one or more radio resource control (RRC) states. The UE may determine a multicast configuration of the set of multicast configurations based on an RRC state according to which the UE is operating. The UE may receive, while operating according to the RRC state, multicast data according to the determined multicast configuration.
METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING MULTI-CAST BROADCAST SERVICE HANDOVER AND RELATED DEVICE
A method for implementing multi-cast broadcast service handover and a related device. The method is applied to a user equipment, and the method includes: receiving a handover complete indication transmitted by a target base station; triggering establishment of a protocol data unit (PDU) session on a target base station side in response to a determination that the target base station does not support the MBS, so that a session management function (SMF) subscribes to a multicast broadcast-unified data manager (MB-UDM); and causing the SMF to acquire quality of service flow information corresponding to the activated MBS session in a modification procedure of the triggered PDU session after the MBS session is activated, to establish a quality of service flow corresponding to the activated MBS session in the PDU session, there being one or more pieces of quality of service flow information.
COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A communication method and apparatus, and a storage medium are provided, to resolve a problem in a conventional technology of discontinuity of a multicast/broadcast service of a UE during handover. The method includes: A target access network device receives first multicast/broadcast service data from a source access network device and second multicast/broadcast service data from a core network device; and if determining that the first multicast/broadcast service data is synchronous with the second multicast/broadcast service data, the target access network device sends the second multicast/broadcast service data to a terminal device, so that the continuity of the multicast/broadcast service of the UE during handover is ensured as much as possible.
SERVICE SWITCHING METHOD, TERMINAL, AND NETWORK DEVICE
Disclosed are a service switching method, a terminal snd a network device. The method comprises: when a terminal receives data of a first service, if the terminal determines that a present condition is satisfied, then the terminal switches to receiving data of a second service. The preset condition comprises: the condition of the terminal stopping the first service, and/or the condition of receiving the data of the second service.
COMMUNICATION METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS
A communication method and apparatus. A first access network device determines that a first terminal device is a last terminal device that receives data of a first multicast service via the first access network device in response to the first terminal device being in a handover preparation phase in which the first terminal device is handed over from the first access network device to a second access network device. The first access network device sends first information that is used to release a first tunnel. The first tunnel is used to transmit the data of the first multicast service between the first access network device and a core network device.
Method for Obtaining Multicast Resource, Access Network Device, and Core Network Device
A method for obtaining a multicast resource, includes: receiving first information sent by a core network device, where the first information includes multicast service information of a target multicast service; obtaining, according to the first information, a multicast resource of the target multicast service; and sending second information to a second access network device through the core network device, where the second information includes information of the multicast resource.
Communicating over multiple radio access technologies (RATs)
A user equipment (UE) may transmit a service request using a first frequency band, the first frequency band being paired to a second frequency band to operate using frequency division duplex (FDD). The UE may further transmit a setup message over the second frequency band, the setup message indicating a third time division duplex (TDD) frequency band for communication. The UE may receive downlink data simultaneously over the second frequency band and the third TDD frequency band, wherein multimedia data is received on the third TDD frequency band.
METHODS AND APPARATUS OF RELIABLE MULTICAST TRANSMISSION
Apparatus and methods are provided for reliable multicast transmission. In one novel aspect, a new multicast radio bearer structure with associated unicast RB is provided to enable reliable multicast transmission. In one embodiment, the associated unicast RB is used for both the uplink feedback and downlink retransmission of the multicast packets. In another embodiment, dynamic transmission mode switch procedure is provided. The MBS transmission switches from PTM transmission to PTP transmission. The MBS packets reception at the UE switches from the PTM leg to the PTP leg. In one embodiment, the dynamic switch procedure is anchored by the common PDCP entity of the PTM leg and the PTP leg. In another embodiment, lossless handover is achieved via PDCP layer packets-based data forwarding for the multicast transmission. In one embodiment, a counter or a timer is used to control the number of packets being forwarded to the target.
