METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING SERVICE CONTINUITY IN MBSFN SERVICE BOUNDARY AREA
The present specification provides a method and an apparatus for a terminal to maintain continuity of multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) service in a multicast broadcast single frequency network (MBSFN) service boundary area. The terminal receives, from a first cell, an MBMS cell list including information about an MBSFN area. The first cell is a cell where the terminal provides the MBMS service via an MBMS bearer. The terminal performs the MBMS service via a unicast bearer of a second cell on the basis of the received MBMS cell list.
Multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) utilizing spatial multiplexing
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for an enhanced Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) in a wireless communications network. In one embodiment, a number of base stations in a MBMS zone, or broadcast region, accommodate both Spatial Multiplexing (SM) enabled user elements and non-SM enabled user elements. In another embodiment, a number of base stations form a MBMS zone, or broadcast region, where the MBMS zone is sub-divided into an SM zone and a non-SM zone. In another embodiment, the wireless communications network includes multiple MBMS zones. For each MBMS zone, base stations serving the MBMS zone transmit an MBMS zone identifier (ID) for the MBMS zone. The MBMS zone ID may be used by a user element for decoding and/or to determine when to perform a handoff from one MBMS zone to another.
MOBILITY IN CELLULAR COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
A method comprises receiving a handover request from a source BS, the handover request comprising a request for a handover of a UE involved in at least two QoS flows using a first MRB with the source BS, wherein the apparatus is using at least a second MRB for other UEs; starting to buffer packets for the UE; receiving a subsequent message comprising, for each of the at least two QoS flows, a CN SN of a first packet not transmitted by the source BS for that QoS flow; identifying a second packet with the highest protocol entity SN according to a protocol entity transmission order of the second MRB among packets which the source BS has delivered to the UE using the first MRB and the apparatus has transmitted to the other UEs using the second MRB; and transmitting a message configuring the UE to use the second MRB.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING CELL RESELECTION PROCEDURE BY A UE
Provided are a method for performing cell reselection procedure in a wireless communication system and an apparatus supporting the same. A user equipment (UE) receives an information of a multicast-broadcast single-frequency network (MBSFN)-dedicated frequency; adjusts priority information on candidate frequencies such that the MBSFN-dedicated frequency has a lowest priority among the candidate frequencies on which the UE is allowed to camp; and performs cell reselection based on the adjusted priority information.
LTE Cluster Communication Method, User Equipment, and First Network Element Equipment
A method for LTE trunking communication, a user equipment and a first network element device are disclosed. The method includes: when a user equipment which is ready to receive trunked service data through a multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS) bearer moves between a cell inside an MBMS single frequency network (MBSFN) area where a trunked service is located and a cell outside the MBMFN area, reporting area identifier information of the user equipment; and the user equipment receiving the trunked service data according to a trunked service bearing mode selected by a network side based on the received area identifier information.
Media content playback system and method
An apparatus for switching media content playback from a first playback device to a second playback device across a plurality of playback devices may include a controller programmed to detect a change in location of a portable device from a first media zone including a first playback device to a second media zone including a second playback device, determining a playback position of currently played media content provided from a first media source to the first playback device, identify a second media source that is available at the second media zone, and control the second media source to transmit the currently played media content to the second playback device to switch playback from the first playback device to the second playback device at the playback position.
MODE SWITCHING METHOD FOR BROADCAST SERVICE AND RELATED DEVICE
A mode switching method for a broadcast service is provided. A trigger instruction is determined when switching of a broadcast mode is to be performed. The trigger instruction is configured to instruct switching of the broadcast mode of a terminal. The trigger instruction is transmitted to an access network device to enable the access network device to transmit a switching request to a functional network element. The switching request is configured to instruct the functional network element to configure a corresponding mode parameter. The mode parameter is configured to instruct the access network device to update an execution parameter, to obtain a configuration parameter and to transmit the configuration parameter to the terminal. Switching to a corresponding broadcast mode is performed according to the configuration parameter to establish a wireless connection with the access network device.
MBMS support in heterogeneous network and in-venue
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication enable user equipment operating in a current cell that provides a multimedia broadcast/multicast service to distinguish between neighboring cells that have different operational characteristics. The presence of a neighboring cell is identified while the user equipment is operating in a first cell and it is determined whether the neighboring cell provides services different from the services provided in the current cell, based on information maintained by the user equipment. The user equipment may move to the neighboring cell to obtain better or different service.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR EFFICIENT MCCH SIGNALING AND RECEPTION FOR MBS IN 5G NETWORK
A method for MCCH acquisition in a 5G wireless network (1000) by a UE (100) includes: receiving, by the UE, a MCCH change notification from the gNodeB over a PDCCH. Further, the method includes detecting whether at least one of the UE is interested to receive a new MBS and the UE is already receiving an MBS. Further, the method includes determining the start of the new MBS session for the new MBS by reading the first bit of the MCCH change notification in response to detecting that the UE is interested to receive the new MBS, or determining the modification to the MBS session configuration of the ongoing MBS session by reading the second bit of the MCCH change notification in response to detecting that the UE is already receiving the MBS.
Method of providing service to user equipment in wireless communication system and apparatus thereof
A communication method performed by a user equipment (UE). The UE receives, from a network, system information including one or more frequencies for a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) service and information of a mapping relationship between one or more frequencies and a plurality of MBMS services. The UE identifies, using the received system information, a specific frequency among the one or more frequencies for the MBMS service, and transmits, to the network, a radio resource control (RRC) message including the identified frequency for the MBMS service.
