UE GROUP BASED CELL RESELECTION
A method, system and apparatus are disclosed. According to one or more embodiments, a network node for communicating with a wireless device is provided. The network node includes processing circuitry configured to: indicate a plurality of sets of parameters for IDLE/INACTIVE mode mobility parameters, and indicate one of the plurality of sets of parameters for the wireless device to implement.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR TRANSMITTING INTEGRATED ACCESS AND BACKHAUL INFORMATION
Methods, apparatus, and systems for reducing signalling in a wireless system, where one or more user equipment or mobile terminals are connected to an integrated access and backhaul node. The disclosure relates to providing integrated access and backhaul indication information that includes at least a mobile integrated access and backhaul node indication information or a group mobility indication. The integrated access and backhaul indication information could be used to reduce signaling overhead and ensure service continuity.
Device and Method of Configuring a Group Handover/Cell Reselection
This document describes methods and devices for group handover/cell reselection. A source base station (401) identifies a plurality of user equipments (110) as a group, sends a group identifier to the group, and determines to initiate a handover/cell reselection for the group. The source base station (401) then negotiates handover parameters with a target base station (402) and sends, to user equipments of the group that are in an engaged mode, a group handover command with directions to connect with the target base station (402). The source base station (401) also identifies a plurality of candidate target base stations (501) and sends, to user equipments of the group that are in a disengaged mode, a group reselection command with directions to reselect one of the plurality of candidate target base stations (501).
GROUP HANDOVER METHOD AND APPARATUS
This application provides a group handover method. The method includes: A first terminal device receives first information from a first network device, where the first information indicates a first resource, the first resource is for carrying fourth information, the fourth information is cell handover information of a plurality of terminal devices, and the first terminal device is one of the plurality of terminal devices; and the first terminal device receives the fourth information on the first resource. This can reduce signaling overheads caused by cell handover of a plurality of users and improve resource utilization.
User equipment (UE) group handoff
A cell site configured to perform group user equipment (UE) handoffs. The cell site comprises an application stored in a non-transitory memory that when executed by a processor of the cell site determines that a first UE is to be handed-off, determines that the first UE is a member of a UE group, wherein the UE group comprises the first UE and at least one other different UE, determines radio resources consumed by the UE group, identifies a second cell site that has sufficient idle radio resources to provide the radio resources consumed by the UE group, and sends a handoff message via the radio transceiver to the second cell site, wherein the handoff message identifies each of the UEs that are members of the UE group, whereby the plurality of UEs that are members of the UE group are handed-off as a group to the second cell site.
CELL RECONFIGURATION METHOD, NETWORK CONTROL NODE, AND MOBILE IAB NODE
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a cell reconfiguration method, a network control node, and a mobile IAB node. The method includes: performing a cell reconfiguration operation, where the performing a cell reconfiguration operation includes: configuring a mobile IAB node to configure a second cell as a secondary cell or a primary secondary cell of a terminal and to configure the second cell to establish a connection with the terminal; and configuring the mobile IAB node and the terminal to release a first cell. The second cell is a new cell created by the mobile IAB node or an existing cell of the mobile IAB node, and the terminal is a terminal that provides services to the first cell.
Enforcing unique handover trigger thresholds for user equipment
Presented herein are techniques to facilitate enforcing unique handover trigger thresholds for user equipment (UE) based on UE identity and/or UE group type. In one instance, a method is provided that may include provisioning a plurality of handover profiles for a plurality of user equipment for a mobile network in which each corresponding handover profile includes a profile identifier and one or more handover thresholds. The method may further include determining that a particular user equipment seeks a connection to the mobile network; identifying a particular handover profile for the particular user equipment, wherein the particular handover profile includes a particular profile identifier; providing the particular profile identifier to a radio access network node of the mobile network; identifying one or more particular handover thresholds for the particular user equipment based on the particular profile identifier; and providing one or more particular handover thresholds to the particular user equipment.
Dynamically controlling a power state of a mobile integrated access and backhaul node
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to enable a mobile access node to enter a new power state based on detection of a second access node. The second access node may be detected by the mobile access node or a central unit (CU). The mobile access node or the CU may determine for the mobile access node to enter a new power state and may notify the other of the determination. The mobile access node may enter a lower power state if the second access node is within a defined proximity or if one or more thresholds are exceeded. The mobile access node may enter a higher power state if no other access nodes are within the defined proximity or if the one or more thresholds are not exceeded. Configuration parameters for a power state change procedure may be configured by control signaling from a CU.
SIDELINK CHANNEL SELECTION COORDINATION
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for sidelink (SL) channel selection coordination. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes measuring, during a time period shorter than one slot, a channel condition of at least one first channel in a sidelink (SL) frequency band. The method further includes transmitting a signal on the at least one first channel or a second channel of the SL frequency band, wherein the at least one first channel or the second channel is chosen based on the channel condition.
Enhanced resource management for mobile integrated access backhaul (IAB)
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for wireless communication by a mobile wireless node of a wireless backhaul communications network. In one aspect, the mobile wireless node determines a first set of communication resources for use by the mobile wireless node. The wireless node communicates with one or more wireless device, via one or multiple child links, using the first set of communication resources while the wireless backhaul communications network has a first topology and while the wireless backhaul communications network has a second topology.
