Method for updating PDU session and network side-device

A method of updating a PDU session and a network-side device are provided. The method includes: after a User Equipment UE moves across PLMNs or across systems, determining that the UE has a first PDU session of which an anchor SMF is not in a current PLMN; determining a Session Management Function V-SMF in a Visited Public Land Mobile Network VPLMN for the first PDU session, and updating the first PDN session by using the V-SMF.

The present disclosure provides a user plane gateway updating method and apparatus, so as to resolve a prior-art technical problem that GW-U updating cannot be implemented when neither an MME nor a GW-C changes. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide four different solutions, for purposes of being compatible with an existing implementation mechanism and improving system efficiency, when a UE performs TAU, an EPS system of a distributed gateway can select, according to a current location of the UE, a best GW-U and re-establish a PDN connection, thereby optimizing a data transmission path and ensuring communication performance.

Communication method and communications apparatus

In a communication method, a first access network device sends first information to a second access network device, where the first information is used to indicate that the first access network device has notified a core network device that a quality of service requirement of at least one quality of service flow cannot be met; the second access network device may send second information to the core network device, where the second information is used to notify the core network device that a quality of service requirement of a first quality of service flow in the at least one quality of service flow can be met, and the first quality of service flow is a quality of service flow that has been handed over from the first access network device to the second access network device.

Mesh-based home security system

A network management system manages the operation of a home security system in a communication network, such as a mesh network. The home security system can include multiple components such as a camera, a lighting device, a security alarm, a doorbell switch and doorbell chime, and a fingerprint sensor, which connect with the communication network to perform various operations. The network management system monitors environmental parameters of the communication network, such as parameters associated with the access points and components of the home security system, determines an access point to which a component of the home security system is to be connected for efficient operation of the home security system, and connects the component to the communication network via the determined access point.

Multi-sensor motion detection

Use of multiple sensors to determine whether motion of an object is occurring in an area is described. In one aspect, an infrared (IR) sensor can be supplemented with a radar sensor to determine whether the determined motion of an object is not a false positive.

HANDOVER METHOD AND APPARATUS

This application discloses a handover method and apparatus. During handover, a source RAN node includes, in a handover message, an indication indicating whether a PDU session supports network slice re-mapping and/or an indication indicating whether the PDU session supports network slice fallback. A target RAN node performs admission control based on the indication, and notifies the source RAN node of an identifier of a network slice to which the PDU session is re-mapped or an indication indicating whether the PDU session falls back to a default network slice. The source RAN node forwards the notification to a terminal device. This reduces signaling overheads caused during handover interaction.

A cell access method includes: receiving configuration information of a second cell sent by a first network device when a UE accesses a first cell; according to the configuration information of the second cell, sending first indication information to the first network device and executing a process of accessing the second cell, where the first indication information is used for indicating that the UE has not completed accessing the second cell and used for the first network device to maintain data transmission in the first cell; sending second indication information to the first network device when the UE has successfully accessed the second cell and the second cell satisfies a preset condition. The second indication information is used for indicating that the UE has successfully accessed the second cell and used for the first network device to switch a data transmission path from the first cell to the second cell.

This application discloses a path processing method, an apparatus, and a related computer-readable storage medium. In the method, whether there is an existing communication connection for a service flow is determined, and a service feature indicator corresponding to the existing communication connection satisfies a service feature condition required by the service flow. In a case of determining that there is the existing communication connection, a service packet is sent in the existing communication connection. In a case of determining that there is no existing communication connection, a new communication connection is established for the service flow, and a service packet is sent in the new communication connection, and a service feature indicator corresponding to the new communication connection satisfies the service feature condition required by the service flow.

User equipment (UE) handover based on an active media session

A wireless communication network comprises a wireless UE, a source access node, a target access node, and a network controller. The UE identifies an active media session, a UE fallback capability, and a network fallback availability. The UE measures a signal metric for the target access node and indicates the signal metric and UE fallback capability to the source access node. The source access node receives the indication the signal metric and the UE fallback capability. The source access node receives an access modification message for the UE from the wireless network controller. In response, the source access node initiates the hand over and transfers a handover message to the network controller. The network controller receives the handover message, transfers a handover request to the target access node, receives an acceptance from the target access node, and transfers a handover command for the wireless UE to the source access node.
