Apparatus and method for supporting vehicle-to-everything in wireless communication system
The present disclosure relates to a 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate beyond a 4th generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). The present disclosure provides an apparatus and a method for supporting vehicle-to-everything (V2X) in a wireless communication system. A method for operating a terminal provided by the present disclosure comprises: a step of performing vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication with another terminal by using a first transmission resource pool set by a first base station connected to the terminal; a step of transmitting, to the first base station, a measurement result for at least one neighboring base station including a second base station; a step of receiving an indication message for handover from the first base station to the second base station; and a step of performing V2X communication with another terminal by using an exceptional resource pool set for the terminal during handover.
Maintaining sidelink (SL) operation under radio link failure (RLF) using UE-to-UE relay
A first and second UE are connected via a PC5 unicast link. Both maintain a list of potential Side link relay UEs and agree on a common list of UEs that appear in both lists. When the first UE detects that the second UE has trouble receiving it's transmission, e.g. ack/nack timeout or high level of NACKs, decide to use a third UE from the common list as Side Link relay towards the second UE.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SIDELINK OPERATION
A method for sidelink operation performed by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes receiving, from a first cell, a conditional handover command that includes an indication of a second cell and one or more triggering conditions for handover to the second cell, performing handover to the second cell after determining that at least one of the triggering conditions is fulfilled, and applying a sidelink resource configuration that is stored in the UE after performing handover to the second cell based on the conditional handover command.
V2X Parameter Exchange for Dual Connectivity and Handover Between Base Stations
A first base station receives, from a second base station comprising a plurality of cells, a first message comprising a served cell information element for each cell of the plurality of cells. The served cell information element for each cell comprises an identifier of a public land mobile network and an indication of whether a respective cell supports at least one vehicle-to-everything (V2X) service. The first base station determines, after the receiving the first message, to perform one of: a dual connectivity procedure for a wireless device or a handover procedure for the wireless device. The first base station sends, to the second base station, a second message for the wireless device. The second message is one of: a secondary node addition request in response to the determining to perform the dual connectivity procedure or a handover request in response to determining to perform the handover procedure.
Method and Apparatus for Cooperative Positioning in a Wireless Communication Network
According to the teachings herein, a wireless device that is a candidate for operating in the cooperative positioning advantageously activates that mode in response to detecting a warning situation. In some embodiments, the detection and/or activation operations are autonomously undertaken by the wireless device. In other embodiments, the wireless communication network provides warning situation detection and/or control of the cooperative positioning mode. More generally, the wireless communication network maintains a database identifying those wireless devices within a given service area that are cooperative positioning mode candidatese.g., the devices having D2D communication capability and operational configurations that allow such operation. By the network providing such information in advance of a warning situation, the candidate devices have the information needed to efficiently discover or otherwise identify other such candidates.

There are provided a first communication time ascertaining unit that ascertains with a ping command communication delay time in communication with a smartphone, a communication state determining unit that determines whether a communication state is satisfactory in the communication with the smartphone based on the ascertained communication delay time, and a communication switching unit that switches a communication channel used for the communication with the smartphone, from one communication channel to another communication channel when the communication state in the communication with the smartphone is determined to be unsatisfactory. Therefore, the switching of the communication channel is performed only when it is ascertained that the communication state with the smartphone is unsatisfactory.

The handover method may includes receiving synchronization type information for the V2X communication from a source base station, and configuring a synchronization type, receiving, from the source base station, handover command information including resource configuration information for the V2X communication which is configured by a target base station; and performing the V2X communication until completion of a handover to the target base station by using the resource configuration information.

The present invention relates to a gateway changing method performed by a machine-to-machine (M2M) gateway which communicates with at least one M2M device having a constrained capability in an M2M system that includes a first layer and a second layer, and the a device therefor, the method comprising the steps of: receiving a trigger signal for indicating a gateway change through a first layer of the M2M gateway; and transmitting, to an M2M server, a first notification for indicating the gateway change through the first layer of the M2M gateway, wherein the M2M device having the constrained capability is a device that does not have the first layer, data generated in the second layer of the M2M device having the constrained capability is managed or stored in a data structure of a tree structure by the first layer of the M2M gateway, and the data structure that includes the data is retrieved by the M2M server after the notification has been transmitted to the M2M server.
