TECHNIQUES TO FACILITATE FAST ROAMING BETWEEN A MOBILE NETWORK OPERATOR PUBLIC WIRELESS WIDE AREA ACCESS NETWORK AND AN ENTERPRISE PRIVATE WIRELESS WIDE AREA ACCESS NETWORK
Presented herein are techniques to facilitate fast roaming between a mobile network operator-public (MNO-public) wireless wide area (WWA) access network and an enterprise private WWA access network. In one example, a method is provided that may include generating, by an authentication node, authentication material for a user equipment (UE) based on the UE being connected to a public WWA access network, wherein the public WWA access network is associated with a mobile network operator, and the authentication node and the UE are associated with an enterprise entity; obtaining, by the authentication node, an indication that the UE is attempting to access a private WWA access network associated with the enterprise entity; and providing, by the authentication node, the authentication material for the UE, wherein the authentication material facilitates connection establishment between the UE and the private WWA access network.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE, COMMUNICATION METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A communication device has a plurality of communication functions of connecting to an upstream network using different communication channels individually. The communication device includes: a communication control unit that controls communication with another communication device connected to the upstream network via the communication device; and a notification unit that notifies, before switching the communication channel, the another communication device of information related to the communication channel for the switching of the communication channel.
Method, information processing apparatus, and system
Seamless communication between mobile communication networks complying with different standards is enabled. A method including a first step group executed by a processor of an information processing apparatus, the first step group including the steps of: acquiring a position registration request from a user terminal; judging whether an identification number of a first communication carrier included in the position registration request is different from an identification number of a communication carrier associated with the user terminal, which is registered with a subscriber database; and instructing a mobility management node to set a first network of the first communication carrier when the identification number of the first communication carrier is different from the identification number of the communication carrier registered with the subscriber database.
CELL INDICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS, CELL SWITCHING METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND SERVICE NODE, TERMINAL AND MEDIUM
Disclosed are a cell indication method and apparatus, a cell handover method and apparatus, a serving node, a terminal device, and a medium. The cell indication method may include: generating Downlink Control Information (DCI), wherein the DCI is used for indicating information of a target cell; and sending the DCI to a terminal device.
PRIORITIZING INCOMPATIBLE NETWORK SLICES
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for prioritizing incompatible network slices in wireless communications systems operating according to new radio (NR) technologies. An exemplary method that may be performed by a UE includes sending a request to connect to a set of network slices, wherein the request comprises at least one priority associated with at least one network slice in the set of network slices, and receiving signaling indicating a set of allowed network slices in response to the request.
Improvement of Coverage Hole Analysis
There are provided measures for improvement of coverage hole analysis. Such measures exemplarily include detecting a radio link failure, producing a failure report including information indicative of a radio condition during a time period between said radio link failure and a successful establishment of a radio link, detecting said successful establishment of said radio link, and transmitting, after detection of said successful establishment of said radio link, said failure report.
Communicating over multiple radio access technologies (RATs)
Downlink control plane information may be transmitted with a first radio access technology (RAT) of a first frequency. Downlink user plane data may be transmitted with utilization of a second RAT of a second frequency. The downlink user plane data may be multicast multimedia data and communicated based on the downlink control plane information. The first RAT and the second RAT may communicate with a same gateway to allow a direct tunnel transmission from a broadcast or multicast service center to a user equipment (UE).
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING DUAL CONNECTIVITY IN HETEROGENEOUS NETWORK
The present invention relates to a method for performing dual connectivity operation in a heterogeneous network, which includes: transmitting a first message to a second eNB for the dual connectivity operation; and receiving a response for the first message from the second eNB, wherein the response includes E-RAB (E-UTRAN Radio Access Bearer) related information.
COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
When communication via a first communication interface is established, a mode of the established communication via the first communication interface is stored. If an error of the established communication via the first communication interface is detected, a determination is made whether to establish communication via a second communication interface or re-establish the communication via the first communication interface based on the stored mode of the established communication.
MOBILITY ACROSS SATELLITE BEAMS USING L2 CONNECTIVITY
Systems and methods for providing mobility across satellite beams, are described. The system includes a first core node, a second core node in communication with the first core node at layer-2 of the OSI model (L2), and a first gateway in communication, at L2, with the first core, the first gateway configured to provide access to a first spot beam at a first location. The system further includes a second gateway in communication, at L2, with the second core node, the second gateway configure to provide access to a second spot beam at a second location, and a mobile device, at the first location, in communication with the first gateway via the first spot beam, wherein the mobile device is assigned an IP address by the first core node. The mobile device moves from the first location to the second location. Further, the first gateway, in response to the mobile device moving from the first location to the second location, notifies the second gateway, through the first core node and the second core node, that the mobile device is moving to the second location, and transmit the session information to the second gateway, and the second gateway, in response to the notification, maintains connectivity with the mobile device using the IP address.
