Signaling design to support in-device coexistence interference avoidance
A method of implicit signaling to support In-Device coexistence interference avoidance is provided. A UE sends an IDC interference indication to an eNB. The indication indicates that a serving frequency becomes unusable due to a coexistence interference problem. The indication does not explicitly indicate a frequency index or a frequency location of the unusable serving frequency. The eNB determines the serving frequency as unusable in an implicit manner. The eNB also determines an implied unusable frequency region based on the received IDC indication. The implied unusable frequency region is between the serving frequency and the ISM band. In one advantageous aspect, the eNB configures a condition for the UE, such that the UE is refrained from sending IDC interference indications unless the condition is satisfied.
Signaling design to support in-device coexistence interference avoidance
A method of implicit signaling to support In-Device coexistence interference avoidance is provided. A UE sends an IDC interference indication to an eNB. The indication indicates that a serving frequency becomes unusable due to a coexistence interference problem. The indication does not explicitly indicate a frequency index or a frequency location of the unusable serving frequency. The eNB determines the serving frequency as unusable in an implicit manner. The eNB also determines an implied unusable frequency region based on the received IDC indication. The implied unusable frequency region is between the serving frequency and the ISM band. In one advantageous aspect, the eNB configures a condition for the UE, such that the UE is refrained from sending IDC interference indications unless the condition is satisfied.
Base station and communication method
A base station relates to a wireless communication system that performs handover from a cell connected with a terminal to a neighbor cell of the cell. The base station includes: circuitry, which, in operation, sets an offset to be applied to reception quality of the neighbor cell according to a quality of service (QoS) class identifier (QCI) of the terminal when the terminal determines whether to report a measurement result to be used in determination on the handover; and a transmitter, which, in operation, transmits the offset to the terminal.

The present invention relates to a handover method and apparatus in a wireless communication system supporting an eICIC function. A communication method of a first base station in a heterogeneous network wireless communication system, which includes the first base station and a second base station and supports a cell range expansion (CRE) function, comprises the steps of: monitoring whether the cell range expansion function is deactivated; when the deactivation of the cell range expansion function is detected, generating a handover request message; and transmitting the handover request message to the second base station.

Additional channels provide additional communication capability which multiple AP's, and their associated stations, can collectively use. An additional set of AP's can be disposed in the additional communication channel, with multiple communication channels possibly physically intersecting. The system control element collects information from devices in the wireless communication system, and automatically configures which AP is assigned to which communication channel. The system control element determines which AP's are servicing which physical locations, in response to feedback from AP's and stations in those locations. The system control element assigns, or re-assigns, AP's in each physical location, with the effect of optimizing coverage.
