Methods and apparatus for hetergeneous network handover
A first base station provides radio communication service to user equipments, UEs, and a second base station that provides radio communication service to UEs in adjacent cell service area. The first base station receives cell range expansion, CRE, information from the second base station for expanding the size of the first cell and evaluates handover of one or more UEs with respect to the second cell based on the CRE information. In one embodiment, the second base station determines a CRE related configuration that includes the CRE information with respect to the first cell, sends the CRE information to the first base station. For example, the second base station may send a handover request including the CRE information to the first base station. The second base station also may consider CRE information in handover evaluation.
METHOD FOR TRIGGERING CIRCUIT SWITCHING FALLBACK PROCEDURE, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM
Embodiments of this application provide a method for triggering a circuit switching fallback procedure, an apparatus, and a system, which relate to the communications field, and can improve a call success probability of a voice service of a terminal when weak coverage occurs in an LTE network. The method includes receiving, by a terminal in an idle state, a system message from an evolved NodeB, where the system message is used to indicate that the evolved NodeB cannot perform a voice service of the terminal and after receiving the system message, initiating, by the terminal, the voice service by using a base station of a 2G/3G network.
Device and method of aggregating WLAN and LTE system
A communication device for aggregating long term evolution (LTE) and wireless local area network (WLAN) comprises a storage unit for storing instructions and a processing means coupled to the storage unit. The processing means is configured to execute the instructions stored in the storage unit. The instructions comprise transmitting a first message indicating support of LTE-WLAN aggregation to a base station (BS) via a LTE communication; receiving a configuration message configuring reception of at least one LTE packet transmitted via a WLAN and a WLAN configuration from the BS via the LTE communication; receiving the at least one LTE packet from the BS via the WLAN in response to the configuration message; and not showing an identification of the WLAN configured by the WLAN configuration on a display of the communication device.
Handover for coverage enhancement
A method including transmitting signals from a first base station to a second base station in a network; and during an interface setup or an interface update between the first base station and the second base station, receiving by the first base station information regarding at least one of: whether coverage enhancement (CE) is supported by the second base station, a maximum coverage enhancement (CE) level supported by the second base station, whether low-cost coverage enhancement (CE) is supported by the second base station, and coverage enhancement (CE) level criteria at the second base station.
Telecommunication system
A cellular telecommunications network architecture is described where certain UEs are configured to assist the network to improve coverage in regions of poor radio conditions. In certain embodiments, appropriate UEs are selected to act as a dynamic, out-of-band coverage extensions. Network performance can thereby be improved when serving users at the cell edge (or in other poor radio condition regions of a cell).
CONTROL METHOD FOR NETWORK COMMUNICATION SYSTEM INCLUDING BASE STATION NETWORK MANAGEMENT SERVER AND MULTI-ACCESS EDGE COMPUTING ECOSYSTEM DEVICE
A control method for network communication system including base station network management server comprises of obtaining an item of neighbor base station identification information of a neighbor base station by a first base station; providing the first base station identification information to a base station network management server by the first base station; obtaining a first base station neighbor information from the base station network management server by a first MEC platform; producing an item of first platform neighbor information by the first MEC platform; determining whether a request signal matches the first platform neighbor information after receiving the request signal from a second MEC platform; providing the first platform identification information to the second MEC platform while determining that the request signal matches the first platform neighbor information.
CONTROL METHOD FOR NETWORK COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND MULTI-ACCESS EDGE COMPUTING ECOSYSTEM DEVICE
A control method for network communication system comprises of obtaining an item of neighbor base station identification information of a neighbor base station by a first base station; obtaining a first base station neighbor information from the first base station by a first MEC platform; producing an item of first platform neighbor information by the first MEC platform; determining whether a request signal matches the first platform neighbor information after receiving the request signal from a second MEC platform; providing the first platform identification information to the second MEC platform while determining that the request signal matches the first platform neighbor information.
ANALYTICS DRIVEN WIRELESS DEVICE SESSION CONTEXT HANDOVER IN OPERATOR CLOUD
A method and apparatus for analytics-driven wireless device session context handover in an operator cloud are provided. According to one aspect, some embodiments include a method for a network node to determine whether to perform a wireless device session context handover. The method includes determining, at the network node, a first cost of not handing over a wireless device session context based at least in part on a calculated estimate of time the wireless device will stay associated with a current base station and a calculated estimate of a cost per unit time of not performing the handover. The method also includes determining, at the network node, a second cost of handing over the wireless device session context based at least in part on at least one of context-related data, base station load, backhaul load and backhaul delay.
Handling of radio access network re-selection
A system, method, node and computer program for handling re-selection of a RAN (120, 130, 140) by a UE (100) is described. The UE (100) is attached via a first RAN (120, 130) to a CS control node (110) for execution of a CS service. The method comprises that the CS control node (110) receives an indication that the execution of the CS service shall be terminated. The CS control node (110) then determines whether the UE (100) shall perform re-selection of the RAN (120, 130, 140). If so, the CS control node (110) determines selection criteria for the re-selection of the RAN (120, 130, 140) and sends them to the UE (100) using Non-Access Stratum related signaling. The UE (100) receives the determined selection criteria from the CS control node (110) and re-selects the RAN (120, 130, 140), considering the received selection criteria.
Track Information Exchange Method and Apparatus
A track information exchange method includes a first roadside device that may receive, from another roadside device, track information outside a coverage area of the first roadside device. When the first roadside device successfully verifies a vehicle, the first roadside device may forward the track information to the vehicle. The track information of a traffic participant may be transferred to a vehicle through a forwarding operation of a roadside device to enable the vehicle with a beyond-line-of-sight sensing capability.
